When I lived in a rented apartment in Tenerife I got a warning letter from the complex manager demanding I return one of my single beds to the apartment as I had used the fact I had two beds to move one of them out onto my balcony. I have no idea if it was just the fact I had some indoor furniture outside or whether someone had tipped them off that as a single DJ in my twenties I had been known to introduce the odd temporary female house guest to the 'balcony bed' on some particularly hot nights. It was fun while it lasted.

That post might have made more sense if it had immediately followed Pat McMahon's Paris/chair/fourth floor window story which reminded me of my bed story for some reason instead of it being on the following page of the thread.
