One of my best friends since my teenage years is a big Leeds fan. Since 2004 when they were relegated, they've had a pretty miserable time. That's 12 years. Forest have been the same for the past 17 years. We seem to be heading along the same path.

This is my major concern. I look around and see Spurs getting a 60,000 stadium, West Ham getting the same free of charge, clubs which are gearing up to be bigger and better, and then I look at us and i see a howling fucking basket case becoming less and less relevant with every passing year.

If we had any blasé thoughts about bouncing straight back "just because", we can forget those. There is nothing so special about us that couldn't cause us to be the next Forest or Leeds.
