Wimbledon brought about 10 people or so that day. They were as entertaining as the match with some of their banter. Nice to see Vinnie Jones given the run around in this match.

I contemplated going to this game but as we invariably lost to Wimbledon every time I went I thought I'd save myself an afternoon of pain.  Bloody typical....

Sir Brian had just come in to save us from relegation after a disastrous start to the campaign that season under big Ron. That season was still a million times better than this! And look at the 95-96 season after - a League Cup triumph and 4th place plus an FA Cup semi - final.

IIRC the Wimbledon fans were doing the Conga when they were 6-1 down.

Distinctly remember meeting one of my Nose mates in town after the match and he said the last team you expect anyone to turnover to that degree is Wimbledon

We were on a great run too. Five wins out of six and Dean Saunders was on a run of nine goals in eleven games including the FA Cup goal at Barnsley. Honestly looked like Europe was on cards against. But we fell apart after the Leicester 4-4

Great day that. I took my cousin with me, whose only prior live football experience had been that lot down the road beating Blackpool 7-1, which was either earlier in the season or the season before, if I remember correctly.
