I agree about the general mood after the game. There are encouraging signs and the fans seem prepared to give the new team time. Sinclair's been impressive. I'm concerned about the ineffectiveness of our other strikers, though, whether it's Gabby, Ayew or Gestede, and I'm not convinced by Kozak either. Perhaps what they need is the service provided by Grealish or Traoré, but when these two are not playing, as against Man U and Sunderland, they don't make such of an impact

The general mood was good, but why on earth some people in the Trinity felt the need to boo at the final whistle I'll never know.

That might of been for the Ref , who had a poor game.

You may be right, it didn't feel like that though. More like "we haven't beat Sunderland, and everyone says they're crap, so I'm going to boo".

I thought the booing was aimed at the way the game finished with Pantilimon and his time wasting.
It was all that spoilt a decent game of football for me. There should be an automatic 2 mins added by the ref if he has to warn a player for deliberate time wasting like that when the ball's out of play. Time-wasting within play is a skill but like that it's just cheating.

Yeah I agree, the poor refereeing decisions and the goalkeepers time wasting antics caused the booing. I thought the game was open and entertaining.

I watched the highlights again this morning and it truly defies belief how we didn't win that game by 2 or 3 goals. How did Richards not score and Westwood simply has to do better. No wonder Sherwood blew out a muscle in his leg.
