Everton have a tradition of ancient central defenders. Davie Weir was there until he was about seventy.

Brian Labone was at least 150 when he was last seen taking no prisoners in the box, so to speak.

Dave Watson played until he was 38 aswell I think. He was caretaker manager for them for a game at Villa Park once.
