No he's interested in one or two more - thought to be a central and wide midfielder

I'd prioritise a centre forward on loan, but lambert' comments don't suggest he's unhappy with the three we have available

Another example of a volte face, having specifically talked about how we obviously lacked a purport target man when our forward options were exactly the current three, two years ago (and been proven right)

Look at it from the other side. Where are you going to get a decent striker good enough to drop straight into the team now but happy to be third choice in a couple of months time?

Spot on Dave.   And I really don't see too much of a case for us needing a striker right now anyway.  After the first month we have a tough run-in for awhile, so with or without Benteke or whoever we would struggle in those games, but then we proved last season than we are capable of causing upsets.

Completely disagree. We could get a six week loan for someone like sanogo - guaranteed games and then back to their club with more experience. Sanogo is probably a no go now, but that sort of signing would be ideal.

We've got to try and get some points from these first three games or I fear we will be bottom by the end of September

Buy a striker who can play either wide in a 3 man attack, or alongside CB, a Hernandez or a Remy if you like.Lestienne could do that

Although we did get 22k for the Malaga friendly this time last year.  The attendance doesn't seem to be available anywhere, its as if the club are keeping it secret out of embarrassment.

The only way we would bring another striker in is if we were able to move Bent on.

I think that the club may be in shock with the attendances at some games this season
