My first full season supporting the club and it was a lot of fun even if the league form was really up and down.  Arsenal away was one of my highlights.  Townsends goal, and Bosnich's pen save and awesome reaction save after that was stunning.

Also went to my first Villa game which was a fine 3-1 win over West Ham, also saw the last game of the season against Liverpool which was the last which the Holte was standing.  Such an eventful season.

Often wondered where it went wrong that season.  With the signing of Andy Townsend, we were arguably stronger than the season before, but we weren't able to show the kind of form we showed on the opening day on a consitent basis.

Think it was some of the other signings than Big Ron made which just weren't good enough such Whittingham (that was that season right?), not sure overall we quite had the strength in depth to sustain good league form along side the cup run.
