Unlike other defeats, I have not rewatched it since it happened live, I cannot rewatch it. I was so hyped up, our best chance to win a trophy with a fairly decent team. Was so gutted to lose. Arguably when our bubble started to burst. I don't know what pisses me off more, Dowd's refereeing or the way Man United celebrated after the match yet went on to moan they had a disappointing campaign at season's end.

A crap game, crap performance. We were robbed to an extent but didn't turn up. See also FA Cup semi that year.

Or the way we barely created any chances. We can blame ref all we want but we did fuck all and in the FA cup semi a few weeks later we didn't even try to score.

I must remember to never to click on that link. Deano mentioned the Man U fans celebrating, but that was better than the thousands we saw outside who didn't even bother to see them lifting the trophy.

Sickening. Never watched it back. Never want to. Still blame the ref.
