If anyone was watching the build up on Sky today for the L'pool-Man Utd match you'll have seen a good ten minute tribute to Bill Shankly prior to kick off. My hope is that, one day, I'll get to see Sky/BT/the BBC do something similar about William McGregor, George Ramsay or Ron Saunders.  This is where I certainly agree with you Jarpie, the visibility of Villa history needs to be cranked up.
