We pretend to in Roscommon.  Remember when Antrim beat us by almost three figures (points)? we got such a hammering they had to introduce a new competition purely for shit teams.

My son played minor for Roscommon btw.  Thats under sixteen county level for those uninformed.

Hurling is a poor man's shinty. Come on Inverness.

So would many Shinty games attract crowds of 80,000?

Hurling is a truly amazing game to watch...shinty?!

A truly amazing game to watch no matter how big the crowd. And to play, I played at half-back or full back for Caberfeidh Thirds for two seasons when I was living in Scotland, great fun but not always good for the looks on a Saturday night!

Did he play football? I knew a few lads on that successful Roscommon minor team from a few years back.

Yes Mel he played football, in goal, but wasn't part of the successful minor team, he played minor in 1996 or thereabouts before he went to uni.
