I remember watching a video of him in his new roll.  I think it was about pre-season and how fitness had changed.
He’s clearly gone away and studied a bit, although I vaguely remember the clip I saw was a comparison with another club and he came across as quite old school.

Remember away at Chelsea in about 92/93 when we won 1-0 (Ray Houghton), stood in that god awful away end at the time (just a pile of rubble basically) chanting 'one Tony Daley' at a steward who looked just like him. Funny how you can remember things like that yet forget the scoreline in most of the games this season (0-0 being a good guess in such circumstances however!)

Tony Daley is the epitomé of what I think an attacking Villa player should be. Blistering pace and scorer of spectacular goals. Apart from those goals his most telling contribution for Villa was the pinpoint cross for Dalian Atkinson's aggregate equaliser in the League Cup semi 2nd leg against Tranmere in 1994.

After which Atkinson, who seemed to think we still needed another goal, was trying to grab the ball out of the net, whilst Daley lay face down on the turf just in front of where I was sat, overcome by what he had just done
