Bobby Zamora: Could he do a job for Villa ?

Having Gabby out for the game against Liverpool made me realise we have no positive options up front other than Heskey. Bobby Zamora could well be a good shout .....

Isn't Bobby being discussed in the Transfer speculation thread?

Bit hard to vote on this as both vote options contradict themselves.

At best a sideways step and given our supposed financial position likely to be a pointlessly expensive one as well.

Der... :P  I don't understand the poll!

Cracking player but isn't he a bit ....old?  After all the comments about clearing out the old guard to leave room for the youngsters (in January) and signing grandads (Pires)that would be a reservation, unless they could get the deal right, for 2 years, maybe.

Have I qualified my enthusiasm enough!
(And can somebody please explain the poll)

Watch the highlights of Fulham vs Everton this season. No need for another striker that misses empty nets.

He probably could do a job but not at that age and on those wages.

I've seen Bobby Zamora play really well.  I've seen Our Darren play really well and hope to again, soon.  I don't think you can judge a striker on one game because they all go through 'fallow' periods when they look rubbish.

I voted Forward or Backward, as I've seen him do that. Never tried to wire him to the mains, so couldn't go for the second option without some trepidation.
