talented player on his day, and suffered unfairly for the reputation he acquired. I'm not sure you can call a 15 year career on thousands of pounds a week as a disappointment but he probably has a fair few regrets. Barry Bannon take note.

Indeed, and for all his stick, how many other players have come through our youth system in the last 20 years and then played for us for the next ten years?

From personal experience, he is a horrible orange c*** with a shocker of an ego.

I scratch my head when I read things like this. Not doubting your personal experience cheltenhamlion but I've met him socially several times and he's always been good company

Not really a product of our youth system, we nicked him from Brighton.

I think Walters was only here in the first team for about 6 years and Daley was about 9 years I reckon.

And as Dave said, considering we poached Fat Baz from Brighton when he was 16 i'm not sure he would count.

Apparently he's in the squad for the away game at Hayes & Yeading (wherever that is) next weekend, so will probably play in the next home game against Cambridge on 26th. Seeing as Villa are playing on 27th I might pop down to Harriers to watch a proper game of football for a change
It`s in Hayes - near Yeading ;)

How good was Lee Hendrie?

Good enough to earn a succession of contracts with the Villa, not good enough to earn a contract elsewhere.

How the mighty have fallen. I have always had a soft spot for Kiddie but now he will be there I hope they are stuffed each week. Easily the one Villa player who has pissed me off more than any other, with his bad attitude and cocky behaviour. One of the trendsetters though I suppose for many more present day knob heads playing at the highest level.

In fact, scrub that about Kiddie losing, I hope that they soon ship the orange prick packing so that they can carry on untainted.

I met him a couple of times in my local chippy and he was a nice, modest bloke. The people who have met him and thought otherwise, had he had a couple of shandy's at that point?

He could've had a career similar to Barry I reckon if he'd got wise, you certainly can't say he lack natural ability.

I remember Barry had some issues with drink early on his Villa career but got wise and knuckled down, hopefully Bannan will heed that message.
