Maybe he would just sell a portion of his shares so he is no longer the majority owner. Doesn't he have something like an 89% stake? H

Why would anybody want to invest in a minority share of Aston Villa with the current owner and management team?
Why would anyone who outright owns the club appoint this current management team? He obviously wants to be a part of Aston Villa, but 89% is a lot to have on your plate. He's the lone investor, this situation could be salvageable.

He owns 100 percent, not 89.

Why would anyone want to invest in a club which owes such a large amount of money to the current owner?

We need to find out who is Man City's owners business emeny and competitor in oil / travel industry and get this firm/bloke/family to take over Villa and outspend Man City. I can't see any other way apart from developing our own players.

It makes sense to me. He'll invest in the squad but day to day running costs have to met from revenue. It doesn't matter that we recouped transfer fees as if we'd spent it all again we would be back where we started.

That's your interpretation of it, it doesn't mean it's his. I guess we'll know if and when we see some more investment in the squad.

If you put so much pressure on the wage bill, investment in the squad becomes largely pointless anyway, as by and large, you're limited to replacing players who move out of contract with others who will be earning the same or less.

Clearly and we're not going to be alone in that.

How much money do you think Randy should put in for signings and wages?

Are we still not breaking even with our current squad? A bit worrying if so.
