I do understand why the Police told AFC Telford to call the game off, I just feel really sad for their supporters in particular, after the journey they've been on from going bust to getting back into the top tier of Non Leauge Football, Saturday should have been a celebration.

Luton fans have surely got to be pissed of as well? they're not all EDL supporters by any stretch of the imagination.

There are moves to get the EDL march banned now - good!

From what I understand about demo's being banned, the police and council can only apply to the Home Office to have the march through the town banned. There's nothing in the law that allows the police to ban the EDL or anyone else for that matter from meeting in the town. Which to me seems to defeat the object of the march ban. The majority of people in Telford have made it clear that they don't want the racist scum in their town and hopefully the police will use similar tactics as those used in the miners strike to keep people away from certain areas.

My belief is that the march by the EDL in Wellington was only arranged as soon as the fixture for tomorrow, Telford United v Luton Town, was announced in June and that there is a close link between the EDL and some (only a minority) of the away team's supporters. I think the biggest mistake, and I said this before the recent riots, was moving the kick-off to 7.45 p.m.; in my opinion it should have been brought forward to, say, 11.00 / 11.30 a.m and would then have been over at the time the EDL march is scheduled to commence.

The people who I really feel sorry for are the chairman of TUFC, Lee Carter, and all the fans as this (the postponement) has spoilt the Club's return to the Conference.
