A Day To Make You Fall Back In Love With Football
« on: August 06, 2011, 06:09:09 PM »
After all they have been through with nearly going out of the league and out of business and spending the last decade playing in a different county and then in a run down athletics 'stadium' Brighton made a triumphant return to The Championship today in a very impressive new ground. After having their club stolen from them AFC Wimbledon and their fans returned to league football today after starting from scratch and winning five promotions in nine years. After decades of misery and traumatic recent events Birmingham City returned to their spiritual home of The Championship today. And lost.

My work have some season tickets for Brighton,so I'm looking forward to going there. Think the Championship will be a really good league, far more exciting than the Prem.

I'll have one eye on Brighton and my second team West Ham,and await the future demise of the blues.

And Coventry, a town synonymous with St George-waving inbreds and favourite target of the Luftwaffe continue to know their place in the football chain - by losing to new 'local' rivals Leicester City.

One things for sure it will be "interesting" especially with Cardiff, Millwall, Leeds, West Ham and the Blues all in the same division. All police leave cancelled??!!

Yeah Sussex police will be out of practice when it comes to 2000 away fans coming down every other week. I've heard that most fans will be swiftly moved from Brighton station to Falmer.

At least they'll have a bit of respite with the Blose, only bringing 300 fans. Though they'll probably cause as much carnage.

Going on Tuesday for the CC vs Gillingham.

As a Brighton fan, it has been a long wait and it makes it all the sweeter now we have some money and our own ground at last.

Like Leicester is any better!  Two shit holes who deserve each other.
