McLeish is a big Gabby fan so I'd imagine that they will get on well and that he'll get the best out of Gabby.

Just had chat with neighbour who's a nose...he's gutted on 2 counts: 1 Blose have lost the best manger they've ever had; 2 He's come to the Villa
He had nothin but praise for AM and said pretty much the same as Gabby: we've got better players, especially some good forwards who AM will love working with and will get to play to full potential. He said: "While the Villa are going up, we'll be going down and I can't see a way back."
Brilliant!
He reckons the kids will feature more too.
Only realised today what a good guy my neighbour is!
His name isn't TorontoBlues is it?

The first game I ever refereed in the Midland Comb. was at Bolehall Swifts.  I abandoned it for a thunder storm that wouldn't pass over, this was in the middle of.......August FFS.  I'd been nervous about it all day and this had to happen.  It could only happen to me!  As an aside a lad I worked with at the time was an official at Bolehall.  Glad to see they're still going.

Better than still going they have a new, quite minted, chairman who is investing in the ground and facilities.

As a further aside, ex-Villan, and indeed villain, Gary Charles is the manager of Bolehall U-15's.

On a tangent, his brother Charisma (yes Charisma) has just signed for Bolehall Swifts.
He must be getting on now, he was in London's Burning years ago.

Glad to hear that Dave and also glad to hear that Gary Charles seems to have a fresh rewarding purpose to his life.

McLeish will be pleased to hear Brian Doogan's, sorry, Gabby's thoughts then.
