To be fair, I would sooner eat my own flesh than go salsa dancing, but I would salsa to Dundee and back rather than relive yesterday afternoon

I know what you mean; at the game yesterday my brother, stirred from his slumber by my tirade of abuse towards the pitch, observed that the veins in my neck appeared to be throbbing  and my eyeballs were bulging and he helpfully suggested that I get my thyroid gland checked and immediately start a course of beta blockers.

With the deep depression of the economy and at the Villa,  perhaps we should just salsa like it's 1929.

I still can't work out why yesterday was stressful, rather than just boring. I can honestly say I've never enjoyed a game less, and like all of us I've seen some stinkers.

I didn't renew this year for the first time in years and am glad. You can get a ticket to any game you want to as we never sell out and as long as you are organised you can sit somewhere half decent.

I sit next to, or near to, a couple of Royal Mail workers. Don't know if they're van drivers.

I'm going to be a little wary next time I take my seat.

And as I'm not renewing, maybe better the devil you know....
