It's completely misleading!  He says it was worn in the final, but then says it was probably made for the manager.  Nice shirt but no way I'd part with nearly £200 for that.

It's the real thing, I don't think the listing is misleading. I have one of these which can be seen here:

and  it wasn't worn at Wembley, bar to sit on the bench. I'm pretty sure the same shirts were worn in both the other games and that Gordon Smith wore this when he came on in the game we won to lift the cup.

Anyone who knows can tell from the photos of this shirt that it was one of the batch made for the final.
Looking at the squad photo their are 14 outfield players wearing one, so I would expect there to be a number 14 and a number 15 out there too. One of the two long sleeved ones is numbered 3, John Robson. Every one else wore shortsleeves, including Smith who wore 12 which is shortsleeved. He's the one wearing the other longsleeved one in the photo. The player I obtained mine from is wearing a shortsleeved one - so I guess that's how he ended up with number 12.
It seems to have been the practice to have player shirts numbered up to 15 or 16 available throughout this period despite only one sub being available and 12 usually used by that sub.
If anyone can shed any light on why that is the case I'd be grateful for the info.

Ray Graydon's number 7 shirt fetched £1200 or so a few years ago, but as one of the 11 used was obviously a little more desirable. I would have, but I didn't have that kind of spare at the time....you did get a tracksuit thrown in.
You notice that there is  a patch for the umbro logo - it's hiding the legend 'umbro' below it, as sponsors weren't permitted anything other than their trademark. Those were the days!
The Patch from the one for sale presumbly has been removed.
