I went up there the last time we had them in the cup in Jan 2005. The performance was summed up perfectly when I saw Alan Wright win a header against Carlton Cole. Piss Poor.

I remember watching it on the telly. I remember thinking, right, we were crap that first half, but we've got away with it, it was still 0-0, we've taken an early lead in the 2nd half, now let's bring it home...

...did we f**k...:-(...

Yes the draw away to Huddersfield is hardly a plum tie for Dover. But, it is a chance to play at a much bigger ground (The McAlpine is smart) than they usually visit and there's some chance of at least taking it to a replay....them's the breaks. Far better it remains a random draw than it be seeded. The unpredictable nature of the draw plus the entry of the big boys into the fray is one of the highlights of the season (although ITV did their best to ruin it this year...). Those who govern football have already done as much as they can to extract unpredictability from football; to seed the draw would be to aid that unfortunate movement...

Bramall Lane. Dwight Yorke penalty. A fine Sunday out.

How that game was ever played I don't know. I remember the amount of snow they had up there and how cold it was.

The most amazing thing about the cup draw was learning a member of Kasabian was capable of recognising numbers. What a monosyllbic moron, it was car crash tv watching him being 'interviewed'.
