Not old but Kenny always looked so young anyway. One of my favourite players from the championship/European cup era.

Bloody Hell
He used to live next door to an old college mate of mine in Dorridge in 83, remember him running and doing push ups on his front lawn as was struggling to get back to fitness.

Yes I do feel old now

Always feel old but can't blaming Kenny Swain for that!

Great player and as an integral part of the League and European Cup winning sides he is always going to be remembered fondly by Villa fans

Here's wishing him an early happy birthday!

Kenny Swain was the chairman of the Villa Cubs when I was in it as a kid. Used to send me regular updates about the goings on at Villa Park... which was nice of him.

The best right back I have seen at Villa and I always really liked him - definitely one of my favourite players from that era.

When I see his name I always think of his header off the line in Rotterdam to keep the score at 0-0 when we were under the cosh. We scored a few minutes later but it would have been very different if we had gone a goal down.

Yet another fine example of Ron Saunders knowing a bit more about football than me. I'd seen Kenny play as a rather limp, flatters to deceive winger-cum-midfielder-cum-last week's lettuce for Chelsea and hadn't a clue as to what Ron was thinking about bringing him to Villa, especially when he had the temerity to use him as a replacement for the god-like Gidman.

Pat's probably right - the best right back I've seen play for us (which started with Mick Wright I think).
