Father of the Revolution (£7.99)

John Russell is more than just a Villa supporter. His life story embodies the spirit of the club in the post-war period when for decades he rarely missed a game home or away.

Best known as a co-organiser of the 1968 Digbeth Civic Hall meeting that led to the overthrow of the board and ushering in a new era.

John was the only Villa supporter to watch every minute of the 1961 League Cup triumph and has undertaken lengthy research on the club's early days. He is also the face of Aston Villa in the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.

This book contains a collection of John's writings in Heroes & Villains over the last twenty years.
