0-3 I think Brentford will be in serious trouble this season.

On to the next one.

Play it safe is one thing, that first half was a shocker. But perhaps it was just rustiness, although I do think the set up way wrong and didn’t give us enough width.

Hopefully we’ll have sharpened up a lot on Saturday.

When starting a thread that requires a poll click "new poll" which is next to "new topic". To add a poll click "add poll".

We'll win 3-1.

Not sure we need Jackson. Pacey wide players more a priority .

I think the point is if you read the laws it is no way a penalty (arm topic,ed and his body not his arm moved to the ball the deliberately touch it, I think that much in indisputable) but if you invoke “in the opinion of the ref” he might decide to give it because of subjective assumptions he is making.

I think the laws should be such that two identical incidents have the same outcome. Or in other words if we see the same incident again say 5 times I’m confident the ref won’t give it.

Jackson sounds like he wants to come and almost did before, to work with Emery.

If we can make it work financially, it could be a good move.

I don’t mind Jackson but if we are super tight on budget then surely a RCB and more flexible attacker have to be ahead on the priority list.

Oh I agree, by making it work financially I meant in the context of how much we can spend and what we need.

Yup agreed. I’m getting a little concerned that we’re leaving ourselves very exposed. We really need some quality in as it feels a bit negative at the moment (not helped by how we approached the game on Saturday). Hopefully it’ll start the look better pretty quickly.

We've seen it a lot from Emery; play safe first half and open up second. Konsa seeing red finished us really.

I expect to win on Saturday.

Keith Barker is returning to the Bears in 2026 on a one year contract. He was a good county all rounder but he will be 39 in October so I’m not sure about taking him back, the county old pro experience is covered by 39 year old Chris Rushworth, why do we need Barker too? What message does it send to the younger squad bowlers?

I don't think we set up that way, it just happened. I reckon that they, rightly, got a kick up the arse at half-time and were more like it second half until the sending off. Anyway, not sure what to expect here. Kamara did well at centre-half on Saturday but I'd rather he was back in midfield, here. Draw wouldn't be a total disaster but be great if we could get a win. Preferably with Ollie scoring a hat-trick to annoy their dish it out but can't take it crybaby fans.
