They seem to release these things in batches. They did the same with the terrace icons collab with Adidas when the article had lots of stuff and the shop only had some of them the 1st month.

No Sancho, Guessand, Torres, Mings or Barkley then. Possibly Martinez too, though I can't for a minute think he'd want to miss it.

Are they all definitely out? To be fair only one of those plays a lot (Pau), while Yanited are without 3 or 4 regulars.

Sancho: Yes, can't play against his parent club.
Guessand: Maybe, depends on if anyone drops out of Afcon squad.
Torres: Maybe. Some rumours reported after the weekend match stated 2 weeks.
Mings: Yes. Emery mentioned probably 4 weeks away on presser start of December.
Barkley: Yes. Last reported 8-10 weeks before return by Emery on same day as Mings update.

Steve Smith out of the test match by the looks of it.  Rumour is he was hit on the head in the nets before the game and is out with concussion.  Bet whoever bowled or flung that ball at him is keeping a pretty low profile right now if that was the case!!  Since being said that he hasn't been well, so.who knows.

That looks a bad toss to lose.

Emery should insist the doctor assists with the cyst.

Just showing that sometimes teams winning at half-time never lose. And forget about the two outliers (and Manure need to be thankful Brooks aimed at the gk twice), we are towards the top of those teams.

Michael Oliver in charge.
I suspect he might be limbering up for 2 pens.

Amortisation costs must be relatively low considering how many of the players’ transfer fees have already been amortised. Mings, McGinn, Cash, Konsa, Watkins, Bizot, Barkley, Buendia, Digne, Garcia, Rogers and Barrenechea have minimal amortisation costs, Tielemans, Kamara, Lindelof, Sancho, Elliott and Bogarde none at all, and Onana, Torres and Maatsen are increasingly looking like value for money.

Is amortisation of previous signings a line item in the accounts?

As you say, we must be washing our hands of most big fees so this figure should not be a burden in the near future.  Add the increased ‘day one’ revenue from better gate receipts and sponsorship and the gap should grow in our favour.

They have players out due to AFCON.
We have players out due to injury.

We know what the commentators will focus on.

So we seem to agree.
