Have we ever started with those 4 at the same time - McGinn, Youri, Onana, Kamara?

Did McGinn start when Tielemans played at 10? I'm guessing so.

Either way, this is a proper injury crisis and it's not going away. Kamara is so fucking important and whenever he's injured our PPG drops. So we're scrapping now to get over the line. I fear the teams below us have hit form just as we are starting to wobble.

Saw Football Rankings had us at 99% before this weekend. Absolutely mental. Bet it isn't that now. Still think we'll do it, but another weekend like this any time soon and I'll probably flip on that.

Kept playing balls into the box from the wings against big lumps who eat that up for breakfast. Should have kept it central and threaded through the middle imo.

If only that were true.

The way to beat packed defences is to go wide and get behind them and pull the ball back.

We did get behind them a couple of times on the left hand side and pulled the ball back but it was behind with no players coming onto the ball.

From memory the best chance of the second half was the ball to Bailey on the right, he had the defender back peddling and beat him but blasted the ball instead of going for accuracy.

There have been too many over these last few seasons. We're walking proof there's a Sky 6.

It’s either corrupt or massive incompetence- neither is acceptable with millions at stake.

It goes down for me as a massive fuck up that will be covered up or brushed under the table.
They are an unaccountable organisation which is answerable to no-one. Their real purpose is to thrive and protect their revenue and stakeholders. This is a far cry from what the purpose of a sports refereeing body should be about.
PGMOL should be fired from adjudicating, they are quite obviously not fit for purpose and there is more than a slight whiff of corruption.

Carricks Man United winning first three games isn't ideal. OGS got a similar tune out of these for a short while.

OGS finished 3rd and 2nd in his two full seasons managing them. Not a bad tune.

Their manager got it right, long ball over the top terrifies Pau and Konsa, struggled with the long throw ins too. They were on top for most of the first half and we were out muscled all over the pitch. We lack the guile to break down packed defences and moving Rogers out to the wing where he was easily isolated was wrong. Tammy was effective first half and was unlucky a couple of times, he was lost against a packed defence second half. Luiz did okay but he is no Tielemans.
Thats twice in a couple of weeks we have been found wanting against teams we should have beaten which i'm sorry to say is very Villa.

Tonight made me wonder if Unai Emery is our version of Klopp. Klopp is obviously a much better manager than slot, yet it was slot who won the league. Maybe Unai is going to be the one who builds our club, yet it will be someone else who eventually wins something. I hope not

This is a leap

It also ignores the fact that Klopp also won the league.

He also won the Champions League. I'd happily settle for that sort of club 'building'.

That’s the most gutted I’ve felt after a loss for quite some time, probably even after coming away from Wembley against Palace, and still feel shit after 6 hours of the final whistle. Even though it probably wasn’t realistic I wanted to keep within touching distance of Arsenal but as our home form has gone to pot recently it’s really not happening now. A combination of that VAR decision and not breaking down 10 men for an hour is hard to swallow. I just hope we can go all the way in the Europa league.
