You beat me to it. And I hadn't considered the second point. All that "look away now if you don't want to know the scores" was never a thing in my family.

One thing I will say is that you chaps must really love football to be watching MOTD when Villa have lost. You couldn't pay me* to watch highlights or analysis of a game Villa lost.

So Danny Murphy thinks that Cash overreacted for the red card. I had to re-listen a couple of times because it seemed such a bizarre position to take. He said “we’re not quick enough to jump on the players for trying to stitch other players up, which is cheating. …. [Cash] should be having a look at himself in the mirror. That is an over the top reaction to a very minimal contact”. Really??? Of all the red cards given in the EPL, that one stands out as being a player acting to get another player sent off?
Totally agree Murphy is an embarrassment of a pundit. And of course the ball was out for the VAR decision, he knows it all.
