Yeah Barrow and Crewe last two seasons.
And I was educated about Barrow by good folk on here as never heard of the place or what it was/where it was and is.
Barrows Furness.

Yeah Barrow and Crewe last two seasons.

Crewe was 2019/20 on our way to the final. Stoke at home 2020/21, bit of a debacle. But the next league game wasn't bad.

Edit: just checked and Stoke was in the Fourth Round, we had already knocked out Burton and Bristol City away.

Norwich at home please. Mainly because it will get that lot from the Two Stands Stadium worked up about missing a tie against us. Even if numbers are done alphabetically they are too dim to work that out so will still get worked up.

Maybe they want an even North-South split of both qualifiers and Premier League teams. Would rather they just got rid of all the regionalisation and left it completely open.

We played 4 league games with Rochdale in the 3rd division. We lost the last one up there 1-0.

Anyway, we love the League Cup for a number of reasons, Here's one.....

Their capacity is 28,723.
Average attendance last season 16,104.

They could easily give us 8,000 if we reckon we could sell them.

I've checked the EFL Carabao Cup rules

We have a right to 10% as a minimum - more by mutual agreement.
Ticket requests to be made within 3cdays of the draw.
Ticket prices to be agreed between clubs.
Away tickets cannot be sold for more than equivalent home tickets.

Interesting what sort of approach regards starting eleven will be taken. We have Palace few days before but don't play in the league till the Sunday 28th away to West Ham.

Gerrard didn't manage to win a domestic cup in Scotland. One final in 6 attempts. I think he's highlighted the cups as something to target, so I have to be looking to go deep or really win one. Certainly a capable squad for the task. And SG has the right attitude and mentality to be a manager who wins a cup.

I think Olson will play in goal and Young as captain. Other than that, I am not sure for now as it depends on player performances on Saturday and Palace and who has played

The last time I was at Bolton - 17 March 2018 - was the coldest I have been in over 65 years of following the Villa, colder than Moscow in February. The snow was blowing horizontally across the top of the stands. I think it may be somewhat different on the 23rd!

Weird old day for the weather. Sun shining in Manchester city centre in the afternoon then absolutely Baltic by the time the match finished. And we lost.

That match really was bastard cold. I remember my friend saying "at least it's warmed up a bit in the second half", before I pointed out that was because he was holding two Bovrils.

The game should never have gone ahead.

Bournemouth Lions took a mini bus. Snow was so bad I'm amazed we made it home. Coldest I've ever been at a game.
