Surprised that it's a shock to some here that Coutinho is starting just days after he signed permanently for us.

The biggest problem we have here is, like West Ham, they are niggly and nasty and we're struggling to handle it.

Zaha is their c**t-in-chief constantly moaning at the ref and nipping at players, the ref needs to tell him to fuck off.

Post by: markeeeebeeee2005 on May 15, 2022, 02:54:10 PM
Ings needs to remember how to hit the target. Like the guy, but you don’t score if you keep shooting wide. McGinn and Luiz both look crocked or knackered. I’d get JJ on and maybe Buendia. Coutinho trying to get some passing going and trying some slide rule passing, that isn’t coming off, but don’t mind him trying as if one does it’s a shot at goal.

Sounds like a typical end of season kickabout.

Stream was buffering a bit so will probably stick the Leeds match on instead and watch them squirm a bit.

If we did win we'd actually be 4 points off 8th with two left (if Wolves don't comeback) so shows we're actually not that far away despite it being a very frustrating season from start to near finish.

Nakamba is so poor with the ball at his feet. It's one thing to be a destructive force in that position, but if you're incapable of exerting a bit of control then you're doing less than half your job I'm afraid.

I’m not at the ground so I don’t know what, if any, abuse he’s getting at the game, but from where I’m sitting and typing, he’s clearly still not good enough for the PL…and is a liability to the team on the pitch.

I think you’ve misunderstood me. I agree.

While he was out injured his form got better in our heads because we haven’t got a natural number six. You’re quite right, he’s not good enough, but we need to fill that position this summer. It’s been a huge problem for years really.

The team like the stream I’m watching on are a bit iffy.

Well I'm glad you can see that because I've noted how generally Villa don't seem to have an attacking verve and many a half of football we hardly get at the goal with a shot.
Not sure what SG idea is when he has us doing this sort of play like today and past matches. Possession based with no cutting thrust.
Let's hope for a great window to improve as SG won't look to change much of his approach to games.

Ollie generally needs 5 chances to hit the target. That said, Ings should have had a brace first half. We desperately need a decent striker in the summer.

Buendia is our best player by a country mile at the moment. We are so much more dangerous when he's on the pitch and Gerrard absolutely has to find a way to start him.

Incidentally, can we have a new song for him please? "Away" doesn't rhyme with "Road" and the pedant in me can't handle it!!!

Don’t think it was a bad result - considering we weren’t great - feels like the kind of game we would have lost not soo long ago

Thought Ings was poor today - as he missed two good chances - and he didn’t really do any linkup

Thought PC got drawn too deep too often and we gave the ball away.  McGinn Luiz and Naka are capable of having good games but thought Nakamba and Luiz weren’t great

Thought chambers was an improvement on Konsa
