You had a good day by just not being there. At my age i should be past getting up at all silly times of the night to watch the game, I could just as easily watch it on record the following morning. That game might have tipped me over, sick of being disappointed then going back to bed fuming.

My other half has said to me on many occasions that she doesnt need to see the villa result she just has to ser the mood I am in. She says I dont get why this is probably the only thing in life that puts you in a bad mood. My reply is always the same........you either get it or you dont.

Similar experience, we had visitors, when they left we were 2-0 up, I was happy, by the time we'd jumped in the car and had driven to a local town to visit the food festival it was all over and we'd lost, to cap it all off there must have been 4 or more grown men in custard shirts mooching about the place.

2-2 when we left the ground so that was the final result as far as I’m concerned.

I walked into the Holte pub cussing to myself about how did we concede two goals after seemingly having the game by the scruff of the neck. I commented to someone that a draw felt as bad as a loss. The next few moments are forever going to be lost in a depressing fog.

Can you never again, even remotely, imply that we will win a game, especially one so confidently
The football Gods are watching
