It’s getting close to the start of the season and naturally, my thoughts turn to Guess The Crowd and Guess The Goal. (I could be alone in this.)
However, it’s not at all clear that we will have full access for crowds, especially away support, to start the season; perhaps not until October. It’s a bit iffy. Guess The Crowd really only works under normal access conditions.
I was wondering how players of both or either game might feel about doing what we did in the 2019/20 season in here and making it a game of two halves, as it were?
We could kick off against Watford with Guess The Goal and have a competition until Christmas.

Then, if the crowds are normal and we’re not all locked down again 🤞, we swap competitions and have half a season of Guess The Crowd, starting around the halfway point in late December to the end in May.
I can’t run both competitions at once, i’m really sorry!
Just a reminder. GTG is played for every game, GTC is home only. Cup games feature in both competitions, home and away. We played a round of GTG featuring the women’s team during an international break as well, last season.

There had just been some tasty promotions as well, as I recall from March 2020.
But, silver lining time; If we can’t start GTC again yet, then N’ZMAV can defend the GTG title!

I agree with CD on this one. I enjoyed guess the crowd. Never really got into guess the goal. But you are the one that puts the hard work in Lou.

Decision Time!
We start the season at 3pm this Saturday.
Our competition also starts this Saturday ⚽️
If the crowd situation settles before or during November, I will be looking at starting Guess The Crowd later in the season. We’re not quite there, yet.
There is talk of the introduction of vax passports in September/ October and the still current possibility of other sudden governmental moves to limit access to football grounds. We simply don’t know what to expect, at this point.
So...stand by for the launch of GT🥅 this week!

With a bit of luck, we can have two competitions this season, but either way, we’re starting NOW! We’ve got Danny and Ollie, and I certainly hope they have big plans for Saturday!
