Hopefully, from next week. I wouldn't get too Father Christmassy about Monday itself.

on sale from Monday 31st May...apparently
Are you sure? I noticed someone on Twitter saying this but I can’t get any confirmation from the Villa website.
-
A passing comment from Purslow, I gather. Subject to government go-ahead, obvs.
-
It's on VillaTV. I'm going to have a listen now
https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/may/Christian-Purslow-season-review-2020-21/
-
Purslow doesn't actually say, it's put to him by the interviewer in a casual manner that almost implied it's common knowledge rather than a stunning revelation.
-
I’m aware of other clubs already selling theirs, but there’s nothing on the website at all.

There was a few clubs sold them for the season just gone, I think. West Ham, Newcastle?
-
I'm surprised as I expected us to be at reduced capacity still in August. I thought they'd prob keep the ballot systerm going for a bit. Good news though.

Liverpool, Hibs and Cheltenham Town are definitely selling for next season as I have friends who’ve already bought them.

If edgbaston can have 70% capacity on 10 June I’d expect us to be full by august unless of course something goes wrong with the virus numbers.
-
If the Euros are at capacity, as proposed, then I guess our games will be.

The Euros aren’t at capacity. I’ve had tickets for the latter stages cancelled via a ballot.
-
They could just sell 30,000 season tickets and have no other fans in the ground
-
Edgbaston is a test even, tests, masks, no-under16s.

Is there a difference between this thread and this one?

One is in tickets and travel which I guess very few people look at and the other is in the main forum. But yes I guess they could be merged.

Anyone got an idea how many people are on the waiting list?
-
I just can’t see how the can put season tickets up for sale before we know what’s going to happen about the next step of coming out of lockdown and that is June 21st.
Plus, they won’t know yet how many will be allowed in. I’m a bit reluctant, at this early stage, as I still have 6 matches that I’m owed from before we went into lockdown so, on top of that I’m not going to rush into paying for a season ticket when no one has a clue yet about what attendances are going to be allowed come August. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t one that was drawn out in the ballot for the Chelsea game so, I’d like the club to tell us first what the terms and conditions are regarding next season’s tickets.
-
In our first season up there was apparently 7k on the waiting list but who knows how many of them still want a season ticket, two years on.
-
In America the NFL are going to have full stadiums once there season starts in September
Hopefully we will also have the same

I did notice during some MLS highlights that full crowds seemed to be back in the US. Certainly in the games I saw anyway.
-
Toronto sports teams have been destroyed by the inability to not just have crowds, but not even able to play in your own country. With the exception of the Toronto Maple Leafs and other Canadian teams who ended up playing in an all Canadian division, the baseball and MLS teams had to essentially move physically to the US and play down there for the better part of two seasons. It will be great to have crowds back in the fall. Fingers crossed.
-
In the what???
-
In the what???
A correct historic old-English term, rather than that new-fangled word ‘Autumn’

The Blue Jays are even further from home this season than they were last year.
At least last year they were able to play in Buffalo.

I think it made sense. They play in Florida anyway fro spring training so while the weather is still cold in Buffalo they stayed there for the opening set of games. They do move to Buffalo in July and then hopefully can end the season in Toronto if the borders open back up. That's the plan anyway.

Just renewed mine!
-
We won't be renewing, sadly.
I have a couple of health conditions that are pretty unpredictable.
Really going to miss it as you can imagine.
-
Same here. Absolutely painless. Apart from parting with more than a grand, obvs.

In the queue....
Coming home !!!!!

Does anybody know the renewal deadline?
-
What is the deal with the vouchers we have , is there an option to deduct them or something ?

30th June I believe.

They're on sale? How long do we have?

Anyone got an idea how many people are on the waiting list?
The announcement today says 'over 8,000.' I would definitely have picked one up this season as I'm hopefully back in Birmingham soon, but I guess I'll be waiting a few more years. We need a bigger stadium...

Assuming everyone renews.
Get yourself a Claret Membership as that at least gives you an advantage over the casual fan.
-
Tried to renew. It isn't recognising my details for some reason. Emailed them.

Enter the codes from the email vouchers when you checkout.

Prices frozen from 2019
(https://i.ibb.co/mJ4CVWY/villa.jpg) (https://ibb.co/mJ4CVWY)
-
Timelines:
The renewal window is open from Tuesday, June 1 until 10pm on Wednesday, June 30.
Due to the timelines, there is a tighter window for fans to renew so existing 2019/20 season ticket holders are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
There will then be a three-day relocation window for season ticket holders to move seats, via telephone only, commencing at 10am on Monday, July 5.
Season tickets will be capped as they were for the 2019/20 season.
Any remaining season tickets will then be made available to those fans on the waiting list, currently over 8,000. Further details will be announced ahead of this window opening. Supporters on the waiting list should ensure their email address and preferences are up-to-date to receive the latest ticketing news.
Pricing:
Season ticket pricing has been frozen from summer 2019, reflecting the prices upon the club’s promotion back to the Premier League following the initial Early Bird period.
That wording is quite important in that, having bought my last season ticket in the Early Bird period it's actually a £63 increase for me. No huge issue with that personally as an "Early Bird" offer is a one off discount, but might surprise a few folk making the direct comparison back to their last payment.
-
Yes good point Mike. But waiving fees etc it's still a pretty reasonable position I think.
-
That’s great that the club froze pricing. When you consider the revenue lost and the demand there would be from fans to get back to the ground, they could easily have increased them. Something that I expect a club like Spurs to do.
-
Yes good point Mike. But waiving fees etc it's still a pretty reasonable position I think.
Yeah, I agree. Just thought worth highlighting in case folk miss it.
-
And online they don’t let you put the multiple voucher numbers in I have for not taking the refund when offered. Into the the telephonic abyss it is then!

Thanks, I definitely plan on doing that. Doesn't seem to be working at the moment though so I guess the membership sign up is paused for now.

I’d imagine they’d get all the Season ticket stuff done first then open up the Claret and Cub Membership stuff.

Did people get any emails about renewing? I've had bugger all.
Done, btw.

Renewed.
Chuffed to bits, bring it on!
-
Renewed. Was easy to input the 6 vouchers from previous season. Seems a bargain..
-

Nah, no e-mail. First I heard was on here. But there was still 1000's in the queue and as there's a 30 day window they may have wanted a 'soft' opening.
-

I did mine without any trouble and I detest this sort of thing. Took me an age to get on my digital account mind.
Enter your first code it then gives you an option of adding another, and so on

Worked like a treat for me as well, have only had to fork out just north of £250 as a result.
-
Has anyone who didn't register earlier this year been able to get them or do you have to have photo ID and all that business?
-
Took 5 minutes max online - and I got a discount because of being 65!
-
Renewed
-
I’ve been a season ticket holder since 1992 but can’t do it online. Every time I try to link my fan ID to my digital account (whatever that is) it sends me done a rabbit hole.
Oh well got used to being without attending matches. Clearly it’s not to be.

Join the digital membership scheme. The link worked well for me.Any vouchers can be redeemed at the checkout phase.
-
I’ve joined the Digital Membership scheme but it won’t let me link my fan ID and therefore I can’t buy tickets or renew my ST.
-
Just checked and I have not had an email - maybe they don’t want my money or for me to renew!
-
Is the digital membership scheme that photo ID rubbish they were trying to get us to do earlier this year? And can you renew a season ticket without it?
-
Just checked and I have not had an email - maybe they don’t want my money or for me to renew!
I haven’t either, I don’t know if anyone has yet.
What I did get was a notification though, via the app I guess.
-
I just renewed via the website straightforward enough.
-
I'm a computer luddite, but found it dead straight forward to add the voucher codes at the checkout. Ended up costing me £404 for me and the nipper. Good value for a title chase!!
-

You've got 30 days. Thats plenty of time to sort it out. Give the ticket office a call in a few days once the initial rush is over.
-

You get an option to ‘add another’ once you have redeemed a voucher code.
-
I cant seem to get my vouchers to work. Plus I only appear to have evouchers for Liverpool and Newcastle away, did we not get refunded our season ticket money? I also seemingly only have 1 evoucher per away game despite buying 2 tickets for each game. I appear to have been jibbed.
-
I cant seem to get my vouchers to work. Plus I only appear to have evouchers for Crystal Palace and Newcastle away, did we not get refunded our season ticket money?
Are you using the correct number?
It’s the evoucher code right at the bottom of the email notification, its accompanied by the value and the expiry date.
Also, the vouchers are added at the checkout, not at the start of the process where you can enter a ‘discount code’
And, if you have lost your vouchers, they are listed on your villa account, under profile and then select vouchers from the drop down.
-
I find it very frustrating that Villa are using V12 finance for payment installments. I have a couple of relatives, with season tickets spanning over decades, who's credit has been impacted by covid and have been rejected.
None have ever missed a season ticket payment, and will now be forced to give up their season tickets as they simply can not pay in full by 30th June. I really hoped Villa would be more sympathetic at a time like this - why can't they offer an in house installment over 4 months like they have in the past?
We're not getting a fucking mortgage.

It will be interesting to see if we get 30,000 season ticket holders this season
I would be surprised if we do?
-
Why?
-
It will be interesting to see if we get 30,000 season ticket holders this season
I would be surprised if we do?
Why’s that?
Couldn’t we have had nearly 40,000 last season, but they kept so many thousand for general sale?
-

I would be surprised if we do?
Are you referring to the CV-19 impact, perhaps?
I'd be amazed if we didn't sell to the 30k level.
-
I think that whilst there will be a lot of people who can’t wait to get back to Villa Park, there may well be a few who have realised they quite enjoy not having Villa at the centre of their weekend.
There will also be some who feel it’s too soon to go back & Villa haven’t indicated any particular provision for people who remain nervous and would rather wait and see how the next year of Covid plays out before jumping back into the middle of crowds.
-
Didn't we have a massive waiting list for season tickets last year? I can't see anything but a full and very noisy VP mthis season.

Agreed. For every person whose circumstances have changed financially etc, as happens every season, there will be those who are itching to get in there and jump on an opportunity to get their first seaaon ticket.

Count me as one of the latter for both reasons.
Has an email been sent out to ST holders about 2021/22 ?
I've not had anything
-
I do think cov-I’d will have an effect on the number of people renewing
Money may be tight for a lot of our supporters
Hopefully I am wrong and we can get a full Villa Park from next season
-
It'll be full. There are 8,000 on the waiting list. I can see quite a few, maybe several thousand, not renewing, for various reasons. Lots of people have lost their jobs and, worse, some people will have passed away. I'd imagine, though, that the waiting list will be sufficient to fill any gaps. The club clearly believe so, too, as they haven't provided any timescale for the sale of tickets to those not on any waiting list. Worst case scenario they have to announce general sale for the last few thousand tickets, they still get sold either way.
The only seats in Villa Park that won't be full for league games next year will be in the away end.
-
What is the drill about away fans next season does anyone know?
-
At the moment there's no restrictions after 21st June. Even if that goes back a month or 6 weeks, that means away fans I'd have thought.
-
There is a form to fill in to register interest to join the waiting list for season tickets on the official page. Follow the link to renew and click FAQ's.

Trying to renew. Won’t take my password, they will email me a link, waiting, waiting, waiting.
Try the 0333 number, rings out for a few minutes then cuts off.
For years the website has been a pile of shite, never up to date, never accurate and near impossible to navigate.
Yes I am pissed off.
-
Just had a very nice email from AVFC asking me if I want to renew my season ticket.
Yes, I am already trying to. Follow the links and end up in exactly the same place as before, waiting for a verification code link that never arrives.

I agree with Amfy.
I suspect a lot of supporters (all clubs) hold on to season tickets in part out of 'habit' - it being something which has become a habitual part of their life. That habit has now been forcibly broken, so I suspect a lot will take the option of not renewing.
Then there's also the chance that for a lot of people, this last year, which has included long spells of not being able to see family and friends, will have made them reassess where and how they spend their time.
For others, there will be concern over how covid plays out in terms of future lockdowns, plus a real nervousness about being around 40,000 people in close proximity.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think we're going to lose 20,000 season ticket holders over it, but I would be amazed if the above weren't the case.
Speaking personally, it is for me - I won't be renewing. It's not all to do with Covid (I had to miss lots of matches before first lockdown, in that season) but I'm going to be honest, it has made me rethink how I spend my time, and I also struggle with the idea of being around that many people again, at least for a while.
I'll pick and choose the odd match, so I won't be bailing totally, but a combination of things has made me not want to commit that much time and money in advance when things are so uncertain in so many ways.
-

I was sent round in circles too. By the time I'd finished it I'd changed my password 5 times but got there in the end. I do agree that the renewing system as it is, is a bag of shite. It should be much easier to access your account. The only thing I purchase from AVFC on line is my Season ticket and because of that and don't visit 'the shop' to buy whatever tat during the year I need to renew my password every new season.
-
Fair enough Paulie. The Sunday before for me was one of the best days in the past 15 months. I haven't really been excited about much over these past 15 months, but Sunday was just fantastic.
You get ebb and flow every season of people who no longer can attend. For every person who no longer wants to go, there will be somebody who refuses to let the opportunity slip by this time and lumps on. I'd be shocked if the 30,000 doesn't comfortably sell out.
Football takes up a lot of time, but for me it is a family event so I don't necessarily agree with the suggestion that if you go to the football you're abdication all responsibilities elsewhere.
In respect of Covid, the more normal things you do, the less of a concern or thought it is.
-

By the same token there will be those who see watching live football as an integral part of their lives. I've missed it massively, I know others too who feel the same. It's not just the game it's also the social aspect which goes with the game which is just as important. TV doesn't give you that.
We will lose some for the reasons amfy pointed out but gain some for these reasons. The club will always lose 'customers' through natural wastage and for a multitude of reasons. They will also find new customers because of who and what we are. It's not just down to winning stuff. My guess is that 30% maybe even 40% of our ST fan base has never seen us win silverware.

Probably, but the email they are “sending” should be part of an automated system.

Basically lost interest over the last few years, one of the reasons was going to the match on my own and watching the rubbish before Smith come along, but the main reason I keep going is the price is reasonable and mainly do I want to be dragged round IKEA or any other shop on match day, felt really good to be back Sunday against Chelsea, just like meeting a old friend
-
I can't wait to be back...missed it like hell.
Meanwhile can anyone clarify what you get with the cup scheme and what it costs?
-
I find it very frustrating that Villa are using V12 finance for payment installments. I have a couple of relatives, with season tickets spanning over decades, who's credit has been impacted by covid and have been rejected.

What about getting interest free credit card, pay some off every month, could be over 12 months or more and may work out better
-
As with everything, it's harder to break the habit in the first place than to keep to not doing it. There will be a massive demand at first but then I would guess that those who didn't go back will soon be joined by those who did return and didn't enjoy it as much as they used to.
-
Looks like I’m having the same problem as others. Won’t accept my password or link my fan ID, phone permanently engaged.
Went to Villa Park today, ticket office closed and no one knows when it will reopen.
Had a season ticket since 1992 but it’s looking grim in this Catch 22 scenario.
-
Email them and they should reply within three days, that's what I've done.
-
I can't wait to be back...missed it like hell.

They say we should get first home cup game free. There isn't a set cost, it will be debited on a match by match basis. An early League Cup match against lower league opposition will be cheaper than an FA Cup quarter final against Man U, for instance.
-

I can't find this, my friend was asking how you get on the waiting list. Could you post the link, please?
-
Does anybody know if they are doing Claret and Blue memberships again?
-
Just renewed.
Bit of a pain to get started as it told me I was an oap (I am now) so couldn't have my seat. Worked it out that there are no reductions where I sit in The Trinity Road.
Bit of a pain imputting the e voucher codes and completing the finance thing, but now it's done!
Not the most user-friendly process in the World, a bit of suffering and pain and angst. Wouldn't be The Villa otherwise, would it?
-
just renewed - hopefully back in the old seat again come August. UTV.
-
Straight forward enough once your digital ID is set up, the club did communicate to do that probably a year ago. Voucher codes just copy and paste from another browser
-
Dumb question: do I have to renew before I relocate, or does it all happen in the small relocation window?

Dumb question: do I have to renew before I relocate, or does it all happen in the small relocation window?
I'm sure you renew first.
-
Just renewed.
How wedded are you to your seat? I loved mine in A4, it took years of relocation days to get to the front, and then my young nephew decided he wanted a ST. We moved precisely 12 seats towards the Holte along the same row, saved something around a ton on each of mine and my brother's, and were able to get the lad's for what is this season £114. It's not been the regrettable decision I feared it might.

You do renew first.
The ST renewal window is til the end of June & the relocation window is at the start of July.
To clarify my earlier point, I actually do think we’ll still have 30,000 season ticket holders, I just think that more people will get one from the waiting list than we might have thought.
-
Email them and they should reply within three days, that's what I've done.
What is the email address and where is it hidden on the website?

I can't wait to be back...missed it like hell.
Meanwhile can anyone clarify what you get with the cup scheme and what it costs?
They say we should get first home cup game free. There isn't a set cost, it will be debited on a match by match basis. An early League Cup match against lower league opposition will be cheaper than an FA Cup quarter final against Man U, for instance.
Cheers for this info. Prefer to have some element of choice...never had a problem getting home Cup tickets as a season ticket holder.

Hi there. Asking the daft question. Is it definitely the evoucher codes that you have to input (rather than the transaction IDs) and are these to be entered in the ‘promotion code’ field on the payment screen? It doesn’t seem to recognise my codes for some reason. Thanks in advance.
-
Voucher codes are done at checkout
Not promotion code.

There is a form to fill in to register interest to join the waiting list for season tickets on the official page. Follow the link to renew and click FAQ's.
I can't find this, my friend was asking how you get on the waiting list. Could you post the link, please?
Sorry I've been out. I think you may have the answer now but to be sure :- official site >season tickets> scroll down to 'how to renew'> click 'FAQs click here'> scroll down to 'join the waiting list'.
There is also a link on 2021-2022 Season Tickets.

Yes, it's the voucher codes themselves. I had to open each PDF and copy the number, had 12 as I was booking for my mate as well, but they all went on no problem, and as the poster above says it's done at the end of the checkout

After Purslow's interview, I called the ticket office last week, just to ensure my account was up to date, linked to my son's, etc. You can't use the 0121 number any more, which is a pisser as I am not a fan of 0333 style numbers. I don't know if the opening hours have changed but last week they were open was a couple of hours in the morning, opening at 10 am, and then a couple of hours in the afternoon. Also, they were all working from home. The chap was very helpful but he didn't really know his way round the website (pot, kettle, black). Nevertheless, like I say, very painless to renew and even my old man was able to sort his out and he can't tell a computer from a potato.

You get first chance at your seat anyway. The only point of the cup scheme is to save you having to bother buying a ticket if you know you intend to go to all the games.

Me neither. Season ticket holders always have first option to buy anyway, so you won't miss out. Only benefit of cup scheme I can see is that it is deducted automatically rather than having to go through the hassle of purchasing them yourself.

The Cup Scheme operates like the old away scheme used to. Its the convenience of not having to bother purchasing, they just send you the tickets.
-
Placed myself on the waiting list - I had a season ticket for about 4 years but moved away and am now in a position to get there and back without totally breaking the bank.
How crap is our website though? I like to think I’m quite good on the computer but even I was wondering if I was trying to get on a waiting list or crack Enigma?!
-
Many thanks to LeeB and DorsetVillain responding to my query regarding whether it was Transaction IDs or evoucher numbers that should be used when renewing, and where to input them.
I am all sorted now and looking forward to August already. Thanks again.

Like a lot of us on here I sit with a group who have had the same seats for years. We all sort our STs individually but keep in touch via text/WhatsApp etc. We are all renewing, all in our usual seats and looking forward to seeing each other. It's the price we pay for being old farts and in love with The Villa! Nine/ten of us all together. The only time we do seats together is when I sort away tickets for a smaller hardcore group of us. Having said that, I occasionally move to the Holte for cup games, for old time's sake.
-
Renewed via website quite straight forward-even entering the codes (copy and paste)
Hope that the people who sit around me in the lower holte L5 row DD are all going to be their (although they may have wished that I would not have been)
Hopefully we should have a good season
-
Regarding the cup scheme, I think you get priority further down the line if we progress in the cups i.e. allocation of FA Cup semi final tickets etc.
-
TC and I should be on the waiting list for a wheelchair space season ticket but we can't get through to the disability officer to check - he's not answering emails. I've emailed the ticket office today so hopefully they can confirm we are, and how far down the list we are.
-

I think you get further priority because you've been to all the games. You wouldn't get better priority than someone who was not a member of the cup scheme but had still been to every cup game.
-
... Still can't get the website to Link my Fan ID so I can't buy, and the phone line crashes.
Hopefully somebody responds to my email.
Has anybody successfully purchased over the phone?
-
I managed to renew my season ticket this afternoon and had no problems at all ,so credit where it is due to the club
-
CD - i phoned yesterday afternoon and had the music for about 15 mins but no one answered, so I then decided to use the website.
You would have thought that they could have had employed a couple of extra temps in the ticket office for a few weeks to answer the phones?
-
AVFC Support have Tweeted that there's a problem with the phone lines so maybe they'll fix it. Hopefully.
-
Morning guys. Thanks to the posters who clarified procedures (such as e vouchers) on here I managed to renew without fuss.
Can't wait to be back in my hallowed seat (front row of North Stand Upper). Since I started going down in 1962 I've never been away from VP for so long!
-
They seem to have just turned the phones off altogether now.
-
I'm in! They replied to my email and fixed some glitch in the system. Managed to get my dad's and have his vouchers reapplied, too.
So if you can't do it, or get through on the phone, do email them and they will reply.
Also if you are accessing the site on your phone and get an error message when you click on the renewal page, trying opening in Incognito Mode as that seems to work.

I promised Percy I would try and get over next year, if everything is back to normal. I came over for the first game back in the big time in 2019 and fitted seeing Villa in between a two day music festival with Perc. Would love to do the same again asap.

Fairly easy once I'd finally realised I had to re-register. Renewed but not entirely comfortable about being around a lot of people and I cant say I've really missed going that much. Still, once more unto the breech and all that.

Very handy, my experience of Kiwis other than going out with one is that they are great until they start talking about the All Blacks. UTV

I agree, as an Englishman living in NZ it is very boring. I love telling them that the rest of the world really doesn't care about rugby.

just renewed on-line, very easy to use and part with £575 !!
see you in the Bartons then The Holte on matchdays :)

We have 3 season tickets, one of which has always been shared between my daughter and my nephew.
However it's in his name, and now you have to load a photo etc. Is the photo check going to be significant next season? It certainly was not checked when I went to the Chelsea game despite all the emphasis from the club which was also confirmed when I rang the ticket office.
There must be lots of fans in a similar boat who share tickets, whether for financial or personal reasons. We are all getting new season ticket cards for next season but I guess they won't have the photo on them, so is this going to be relevant? Any information would be much appreciated.
I know at Liverpool, season ticket holders can assign up to 20 other registered fans to their ticket for games which is great customer service.
-

Have Villa outsourced the ticket office to HMRC? That's their tactic

I don’t think they will be using the photos, unless Covid rules require it. Who knows? we may have to have virus passports to attend.
-
Same as you rougegeorge. I have two juniors and I share those amongst youngsters in the family and this has helped in generating their loyalty to the Villa.
I don't think under 14s require photo and current technology at our turnstiles can not do photocheck.
-
I renewed for me and my dad and didn't upload a photo for either.

I’ve had two different people at the ticket office confirm to me that definitely won’t be the case.

I noticed when I logged in on the official site, there was a link to that renewal email, so might be worth having a look there.
I also noticed it had tickets for the Chelsea game on my history, but I had absolutely no contact from the club regarding being successful in the ballot.

Has anyone managed to get through on the 0333 323 1874 number?
My mother has been trying all week because she needs to speak to them about my dad's ticket renewal. She isn't really an "e-mail" type of person so they are a bit stuck if no one ever answers the phone!
Is there any other number she could call?
Cheers,
BCV.

I renewed mine and my sons season tickets on that phone number last week as I needed to speak to someone about something first otherwise I’d have just done it online. Unfortunately it did take a few hours of constant calling and listening to music etc, but once I did finally get to speak to someone it all went through very easily. It’s just a case of keep calling until you get through and then when you do there will be a long wait listening to music until someone picks up. Staff are still working from home so it says.
-
I spoke to them the end of may. 0121 327 2299 Think ticket office was option 3

Finally, a week after I emailed, the TO have replied.
As expected, they will not allow me to opt out for the season or delay renewal.
Therefore, I now have a Yes/No decision to make.
They also have no explanation as to why I was not sent the email saying that renewals had started.

That's disappointing.I too would prefer to delay.

I have renewed but have never received an email asking me if I wanted to. I only found out that you could renew on here.

I don't think they'll check so if you have a friend who would be willing you could sell them your ticket and then be back again next season? Not an ideal solution, admittedly.

Re: those that want a season delay.
Yep and with a handful of selling the seat back to the club when necessary you may be able to get through the season without too much loss.
-
Did anyone else get the email about going on the season ticket waiting list ? Typically it came with the headline Season Tickets 19/20 and a pic from what looked like the play off final hmmm
Is this a new waiting list not the one that would have been in place at the start of 19/20 ?
-
All the waiting lists are the same. You don' need to re-apply, there is just one list and if you're on it from last year, you're still on it.
Well, that's what Villa suport said a while back anyway.
-
Yes, I received it too and had the same thoughts. I signed up, though hold out little hope to be honest!

I found my email in my junk folder

I didn't get an email informing me of renewals but happy to say that season tickets were renewed last week.
Very excited about next season!
-
Very jealous of all of you getting and renewing season tickets. A fantastic time to be a Villa fan.

I fully understand where you are coming from but on the flip side imagine a 1,000 season ticket holders looking to defer for 12 months. The seats would go presumably to the waiting list. What do you then say to someone who purchased in 2021/22 - you can't renew next season? It just cannot be worked properly.
-
Yep, I recognise that WW.
However, I thought that it was worth asking based on the TO telling me last autumn that opt-outs would have been considered if they'd been able to put part-season STs on sale for 2020/21.
-
Bit off topic but..
Can anyone tell me when C&B membership renewal deadline is ?
-
I have just renewed my season ticket and kept clicking waiting to get to where to enter my codes for the six matches we couldn’t attend. Never showed and clicked once more and it just took my full price. So, not quite as easy as some people have suggested. I stress that at no stage did anything come up where I could claim my refunds from those 6 matches. Any suggestions?
-
It was just before you paid. Think it said gift voucher codes or something similar.
-
Thanks for replying but don’t remember that coming up. Anyway, too late now so suppose I’m going to have to go to the ticket office to get my refund. It’s obvious though that something is wrong as some are being able to go through the process easily and others have had problems.
-
I would send them an email, see if they can help you out.
-

Can anyone tell me when C&B membership renewal deadline is ?
When I go online to buy a membership I don't get a link to do so. Is anyone else having this problem?
-
I also didn’t get any chance to claim my free ticket to the first home cup match. Not a good day!!
-
It’s when you go to the pay page, it’s not that obvious to be honest, but from memory (I did this a couple of weeks ago), there is a small section further down the page that says do you have a voucher code, or something of that ilk. It doesn’t say specifically, vouchers from previous matches. For me and my two kids got pretty much £200 knocked off the full price so worth pursuing.
-
Seen a few people mentioning Claret memberships and I'm a bit twitchy about the lack of update, firstly because I am keen to renew seeing as it's the only way you can get to games without a season ticket, but also because we've had no update from the club since we went into lockdown and I had accumulated points on my card and still had a £20 match voucher on there which I am pessimistic about ever being able to retain.

On that AVFC Twitter page they have stated on several occasions that memberships will be on sale very soon (after season tickets I guess) and they have said they are working on/have sorted a plan for existing members from 2019/2020

Rambo, I will definitely be chasing it up as I’m now owed at least £180 from the vouchers plus a free cup ticket.
-
I don't think you'll get your cup ticket. I thought it was just a free ticket to the first home cup game, not the cup game of your choice. Could be wrong but that's what I seem to recall.

I still have two £5 Season Ticket Holders Vouchers which can be redeemed for food and drink at any catering outlet within Villa Park. Valid until the end of 2019/20 season. Keep or bin?

Keep.
Villa Vouchers are valuable.

After relocation day(s), so from on or soon after the 8th of July https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/june/Season-tickets-2021-22/

How are season ticket sales going?
When do they sell them to waiting list?
Don't know how many have been sold, but June 30th is the magical renewal deadline where I imagine the waiting list could get any tickets that haven't been renewed.
After relocation day(s), so from on or soon after the 8th of July https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/june/Season-tickets-2021-22/
Timelines:
The renewal window is open from Tuesday, June 1 until 10pm on Wednesday, June 30.
Due to the timelines, there is a tighter window for fans to renew so existing 2019/20 season ticket holders are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.

So I was right about us having more people on the waiting list than Blues have season ticket holders
-
I don't think you'll get your cup ticket. I thought it was just a free ticket to the first home cup game, not the cup game of your choice. Could be wrong but that's what I seem to recall.
That's correct. He will get the ticket guaranteed if and when we play a team at home in one of the cups.
So I'm right, he hasn't got one that can be carried over to this season?
There are none carried over, that I'm aware of.
-
In the event of a reduced capacity for the first home match of the season those who missed out in the Chelsea ballot may well have a case to expect preference for tickets.
-
I still have two £5 Season Ticket Holders Vouchers which can be redeemed for food and drink at any catering outlet within Villa Park. Valid until the end of 2019/20 season. Keep or bin?
Me too. Not hopeful they will honour them next visit to the kiosks.
-
Just send them an email asking. They're generally quite helpful, though may take a while to respond. It can't hurt to try.
-

Yes that would be fair enough.

Yes that would be fair enough.
How would that work if ST holders are forced to miss out as they will have already paid for it?
-
If there's limited capacity season ticket holders will have to miss out one way or another. I guess they'll just do game by game refunds.
-
So for the 2nd home game of the season the fans who were lucky enough to get into the ground for the 1st game will not be able to attend the 2nd game?
-
So for the 2nd home game of the season the fans who were lucky enough to get into the ground for the 1st game will not be able to attend the 2nd game?
Nobody know yet, but if the capacity is limited then yes it's reasonable to assume there would be some sort of rolling priority to give all season ticket holders a fair chance.
-
So for the 2nd home game of the season the fans who were lucky enough to get into the ground for the 1st game will not be able to attend the 2nd game?
I was lucky enough to be at the Chelsea match and, if crowds are limited, willing to take my turn before seeing another match at VP.

Same as me.
-
I've not seen anything that suggests the new season won't start with full capacity crowds.
There could be some form of restrictions re-imposed during the winter months. In which case I'm sure the club will allocate tickets as fairly as possible.
-
Will be gutted if not full crowd. I want... big crowd, Villa win, nice piss up in pub with lots of people I haven't seen since early 2019, without having to book or plan.
-
Having witnessed his "football" for three years, I'd also be willing to give up my season ticket for our our first game of the season against Steve Bruce's Newcastle!!!
-
Reading about the NFL stadiums in America they are having capacity crowds - hopefully we will be the same
-

There’s no games in the NFL now but they will back to full capacity in September I imagine. But many sports venues are back to very large crowds and it makes a huge difference to the experience. The only place I hate it is golf where drinking needs to be limited. American fans are such obnoxious wankers.
-
All English football is prepared for full capacity. Wouldnt surprise me if a condition for initial part is a negative LFT test if your not fully vaccinated by August
-
Without going too off topic, I wonder if they will allow away fans...
-

It’s an interesting one that, because if we are back to full capacity, then we should really have away fans too.
-
…and the government have confirmed that 60,000+ can attend the semis and final at Wembley.
-

Foo Fighters posted pictures on social media of their gig last night at a packed, indoor, Madison Square Gardens.
It's insane to see indoor capacity crowds at gigs given the situation.

They are only accepting people fully vaccinated with vaccines which have approval in the US. So, no AstraZeneca (as haven't sought approval there) and I dunno about J&J

only because uefa had their balls in a vice, and were threatening to take the games to the 67,000 capacity stadium in budapest.

I notice that Springsteen is having his indoor shows in July in New York and to gain entry you have to have been fully vaccinated

I have been fully vaccinated against Springsteen for many years.

If AstraZeneca doesn't seek approval in the USA, it'll be interesting to see how that affects trans-Atlantic travel going forward. ie we might be approved for events in the UK, but unable to enter the USA
As for Bruce.......he's someone who I think that I should really like, but he's just OK, no more than that.
-
Just read that of the 30,000 season ticket holders - 24,000 have renewed therefore there is going to be plenty of availability for games next season if we have a full capacity stadium
-
Won't they be offered to the waiting list though? I assume that they have to wait until after deadline day to start working through that.
-
I thought their would be natural wastage but I'm surprised it's as many as 6k.
Yes, they definitely be offered to the waiting list. But how many of the 11k put their money down remains to be seen. I suspect most people who want one will get their chance and we'll end up with a touch under 30k ST holders. All guesswork of course.
-

I think that's a pretty decent effort in fairly uncertain times. I reckon it'll be close to 30,000 by the time the season starts, whether by renewal before the end of the month, waiting list or additional buyers if it goes on general sale. Gagging for a full house first home game. Hopefully Newcastle will be allowed to buy tickets, too. Football without away fans isn't the same.
-
Still a week to go, which I guess for many will include a pay packet. I think we'll still get rid of a fair few more before the window slams shut.
That said, fingers crossed that the people in front of us haven't, then I can get back on the front row.
-
Someone who may know these things told me the waiting list is approaching 20,000 now. I’m pretty certain we’ll sell 30k in that case.
-
I was told the other day that Arsenal has a 120k waiting list!
-
I was told the other day that Arsenal has a 120k waiting list!
Of players who want to leave them?
-
Pay-day today so that number will grow. Think we'll comfortably sell out 30,000, but interestingly, 24,000 would be the 2nd highest amount of season tickets we've ever sold.
-

Pity they can't find enough season ticket holders who actually bother going to the matches and/or stay to the end.

Still a week to go for renewals. I’ll be renewing mine once I’ve been paid this month and I expect plenty others will as well.
-
Just done mine and my brothers & nephew so there’s 3 more

To be fair I could imagine them having a fairly large waiting list, but no where near that.
I’ll probably read now that it’s true 😂

I can't see an up to date figure, but timewise it looks like they're waiting on the list for a decade before getting one.

I'll be there next season, any Corona variants allowing, Jack or no Jack...
Can't fcuking wait! :D

I reckon there's a sizable chunk of that list that would have put their name down when they were still heavyweights and wouldn't take one now.

It's fun to laugh at Arsenal - I certainly have been on Twitter, but they had a very good second half of the season and a core of decent players. I suspect the celebration of their demise is probably a bit premature. I don't think there's any way they could attract Jack, but I do think they'll be in the mix for top 4 again next season.

When you say 'again' they haven't realy been very close for several years now.
-
So how will they allocate Season Tickets to waiting list?
-
The waiting list is in order that you applied to be on it so if you were first you get first dibs and so on.
-
Are we now in the relocation window?
I don't want to move but was interested to see what seats are available.
-
From Monday for three days.Phone only,so that's a pisser.
-
I’m looking to move our tickets. Having done it previously you could physically go in and pick your seat, not sure how it’ll go doing it over the phone though.
-
Is there a full seat plan we can access somehow?
-
Is there a full seat plan we can access somehow?
Have searched loads online, the only time I’ve see row/seat number plans is when booking a Tkt. Have tweeted @avfcsupport but think they won’t respond till reallocation window open on Monday
-
And now it's impossible to get through to relocate.Fucking useless
-
My son and his mate want to relocate to sit with other friends, he is to cool to sit with his Dad now!!! He has been on the phone all morning, not in a que they just cut him off.
-
Christian and Co. talk about customer service and the above is the way that people get treated, totally shambolic.
-
Whole process has been diabolical this morning/afternoon.
-
I feel for the club in moments like this. It's tricky to recruit people for a busy couple of days, get them to know what they need to know etc and then let them go again after.
It just results in crap customer service.
-
Outsource it to specialists at high-volume phone sales?
-
I can't see why it couldn't have been done online rather than phoning .
-
I've attempted to call over 350 times. The worst thing is there's a single seat I'm interested in moving to- I'm not sure whether it is free or not so this could be wasted effort!
-
They really are useless
Every time I’ve phoned since 2 o’clock they’ve said they are unable to answer as extremely busy
Dear customer support team at Villa have no idea how to handle a club of this size
-
It took me 140 odd redials this morning to get through then 50 mins plus on hold. Then despite a linked account I had to have my mates authorisation to change his seat (fair enough). So hung up sorted that out and then another 90 odd calls this afternoon and another 45 min wait on hold.
Very helpful when I eventually got through to anybody though.

You were lucky
-
I’d say that perseverance rather than luck 😂 more patience and time than me, that’s for sure..
-
Not once did I get through all day.Not even an option of hanging on.
-
Luckily I had the day off but the phone nearly went out of the window a couple of times.
-

same, its pathetic really
-
I phoned 402 times, got through once, held on for 1 hour then had to go out. No more luck now I am back.
-

Blondie would not have approved.
-
I wonder how many of the 30k season ticket holders renewed?
-
Last I heard with a week to go it was about 24k so north of that.
-
My son managed to move his seat, his friend got through explained what they wanted to do, my son had to send an email saying he agreed he wanted to move, got an email back saying it was done, took about 20 mins, seemed fine once they got to speak to someone!
-
My brother's not long got off the phone with them, ringing more on an off chance than any real necessity. Apparently the bod on the phone can't understand why they've bothered with a relocation day as hardly any haven't renewed, there's only scattered singles so most people can't really move anyway, and there's now allegedly 15,000 on the waiting list!
-
Looks like some people didn’t renew those at the top of the waiting list being contacted from tomorrow.
-

53 mins on hold (and waiting) at least can get on with other stuff - ha, had to speak, 56 mins and all done and moved to around where I wanted. Bit of a palaver but as others have said, staff are brilliant every time you do eventually speak to someone!
-
I've registered for the waiting list again. I reckon by the time my turn comes around I'll qualify for an OAP concession and my 6 year old will have to pay full price!
-

Ha. My 5 month old already on it!
-
I renewed over the phone as I had an issue I needed to discuss with a person rather than do it online when they first went on sale. Once you do get to speak to someone the staff are great but such a shame it takes so long to get through.

Do the club contact season ticket holders who have not renewed to find out the reason why?
Does anyone know how many season tickets are left to be sold?
-
Yep, they do. had the email earlier today and managed to book an ST for me and my lad. I think i was in the first 1k on the waiting list. 500 per day notified and u have 24 hrs to buy.

Less than we'll take to Watford.

I tried from the beginning of the thread, but maybe I am missing it.
If a full capacity is allowed, how many season tickets, how many away fans and what balance for casual home fans
-

Season tickets were capped at 31000 last time(2019-20) if I remember correctly & the rest (7/8000) had to be kept & sold on match by match basis . I think that's how I remember it, so I presume itll be something similar

I thought season tickets were capped at 30,000, with 8,000ish for general sale and 3,000 for away fans.
-
There has to be 3,000 for away fans and it makes sense to have a few thousand for match tickets. As someone at Manchester United once said, they'd have been happier not to sell a single season ticket and have a different sixty thousand at every match.
-
I'd imagine most of the 'general sale' tickets were taken by Claret/Pride members.
-
It's a little bit less than 8,000 for general sale with the players and sponsor give ways.
-
Son had a email today say he been chosen from the waiting list, gone on Villa site, choose the holte end but no actual seat number comes up, but not much else, only got till tomorrow any ideas anyone,on the phone now
-
Maybe the Holte End is sold out. Did he try other stands?
-
Got through all sorted and got one next to me lower holte two seats away,he please as punch, glory hunter, the girl at Villa sorted out email addresses and my I D causing problems
-
Ah, I had that problem. Glad it's sorted 🙂
-
I missed the email on Friday for my eligibility to get a ticket, my 24 hour window passed.
Does that mean I am completely screwed getting one now?
-

They have definitely said you have a 24 hour window to buy, but I think that window is just before they move on to offer the next 500, rather than before you lose your chance completely.
They also said at the FCG that you can turn it down for up to 3 seasons without losing your place on the list. So if you haven’t responded, you haven’t lost your place on the list. It might just be that all of the tickets have gone now.
So I think you have lost the certainty of getting one, but might still have a chance if you get in touch.
I am not completely certain I have this right, that’s just me rationalising my way through it.
-
I joined the waiting list for my son and I on June 19th 2019.
I was offered tickets for me and my lad Joe pretty much at 10am sharp this morning. Didn't look at the wider availability as we were after 2 in the Upper Holte(K6) and both really happy that we were able to get those.
This is his first ST, so he's overjoyed, and we are in close proximity to many of the other Bournemouth Lions.
Hope this helps. Up the Villa
-
Well done Damo
-
You'd hope if there are existing season ticket holders who haven't renewed because of Covid concerns, that the club would prioritise them in a year or two when Villa Park's been expanded.
-
Damien, congrats on getting one,my son only joined the waiting list about early May, he got the offer this week
-
Two of my mates have both been on the waiting list since since 19th June 2019. One heard today and got one, the other hasn’t heard anything. Must be getting close to being none left.
-
Just been announced that after July 19 all sporting venues will require fans to provide a covid vaccination passport
How’s that going to affect season ticket holders?
-
How do I get one? I'm double jabbed. Are they free?
-

Saw this in the DT a few minutes ago
Seems that you will probably need the NHS app ad this is where the certificate will be held
Someone made the point that 40,000 fans all trying to get through the turnstiles within a short space of time and trying to have their phone scanned would crash the system

I've got this via NHS App, easy to sort but you have to keep renewing which may end up being a pain. My current one expires 30th July when i have to renew.
-
I just did it and it says it expires 12th August. Not sure why they don't just make it last forever?
-
I just did it and it says it expires 12th August. Not sure why they don't just make it last forever?
Isn't it just the QR code which expires to stop people printing them off and keeping them long after the vaccines effectiveness has waned?
As I understood it the app will constantly update as long as your vaccination status is up to date in the event(uality) we need boosters.
-
Ah, okay, that makes sense. So I assume I'll be able to get a new one before our first home game. Thanks.
-
I just did it and it says it expires 12th August. Not sure why they don't just make it last forever?
Probably by making you renew it “they” have more control over you - which is what this is all about
But that’s another discussion to be had!
-
How will this work for people who don't have the NHS app? I know its hard to believe but not everyone has a smart phone. My dad hasn't got one and won't get one. I imagine he is not alone.

-
Sounds like you can print yourself a PDF copy...
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/demonstrating-your-covid-19-status
-
You know that meme of that steward at Spurs doing the 'air search' of people going into the ground?
I reckon pretty quickly that's exactly what checking covid statuses is going to be like.
-
How will this work for people who do not have a smart phone and have an old phone that you cannot add apps too?
You can print off confirmation
-
I already have an app called ‘My GP’ which I can book appointments and order repeat prescriptions on, & there is a function to add a vaccine passport to that. My husband has a slightly different app with a similar function and his does a vaccine passport too.
-
I downloaded the NHS app. I worry if you don't have the "official" app/document some steward is going to stop you coming in.
-
Wouldn't it be an idea if you could link it to your digital id? That way there shouldn't be an on the day check.
-
if i remember correctly at the Chelsea game you completed an online form - i was not asked to prove i had, had the jabs or was COVid free entering the stadium?
-
As others have said you can get a letter from the NHS - free - for those without smartphones. Only takes a few days to come through and has dates of your vaccines plus details of what vaccine etc. My missus has one that she’s used at Lords and Edgbaston in the last few days. Quicker than me trying to open the app at the ticket gate !

No, at various times when people in our group haven’t been able to go we’ve just given it somebody else.

Given that even if you are fully vaccinated and can still get the virus and transmit it isn't the point of proving you have been vaccinated pointless?
-
Is there any problem with borrowing somebody's season ticket?
No, at various times when people in our group haven’t been able to go we’ve just given it somebody else.
Cheers

Not really, being fully vaccinated significantly reduces infection.
Its not 100% no vaccines are.
-
Given that even if you are fully vaccinated and can still get the virus and transmit it isn't the point of proving you have been vaccinated pointless?
Very little in life is certain. Being vaccinated makes it much less likely you'll catch or transmit covid so it's a sensible precaution to check that people coming in to a place of work where the employer has a duty of care to its staff are as safe as they can be.
-
It seems they are still distributing season tickets to people on the waiting list as someone I know got three today
-
As others have said you can get a letter from the NHS - free - for those without smartphones. Only takes a few days to come through and has dates of your vaccines plus details of what vaccine etc. My missus has one that she’s used at Lords and Edgbaston in the last few days. Quicker than me trying to open the app at the ticket gate !
At the risk of appearing greedy, does anyone know if it's possible to get both the NHS letter and the digital covid pass on the app?
-
Get in! ;D
After a couple of years on the waiting list, me and our eldest (24) were contacted by The Villa earlier and offered the chance of buying season tickets - bought two in the Holte (K2) and now bouncin' around like a babbie!

Yes I got a letter last week and yesterday downloaded and set up the NHS app that shows I have had both of my jabs.

Just sent for my letter from the NHS. Absolute doddle for those who don't use apps.
All you need is your NHS number, date of birth and postcode.

Nice. Me and kids have been in the waiting list for about that long (I was a season ticket holder pre-kids for many years but have never had one since kids). On tenterhooks now!
It’s a dark art, they can’t tell you where in the queue you are, just one day you get an email saying ”your turn” and have 24 hours to respond!
-
Son only been on waiting list since June,he got the offer and I got email this week again offering a season ticket with different ID number for him was tempted to get it for his friends

That might be next season ... I have form. ;)
Got my first season ticket aged 14, 79/80 so we won the league in my second season and then the European Cup in my third.
I thought, this kind of success must happen most years. Not quite how it turned out!

He's been on the list for a month and has been offered a ticket? I thought in June there was about 11,000 on the wating list. They've blown through that pretty fast.
-

Just sorted the app out. You don't need your NHS number. In addition to your name and DOB, you just need to be registered at a GP surgery.

Is it just since promotion that we've had a waiting list for season-tickets?

My mate and his lad have been on for about 18 months and not heard a word.
-
I’ve never had to use it before, but do the club buy back your tickets if you can’t go? I seem to remember something by viagogo a few years back but not sure if they still offer this?
Does anyone have an info on this and the requirements to go to a certain amount of games?

It's done through the club now. You get your season ticket cost divided by 19 back, and then it's sold by them at match ticket price. Very easy and efficient.

That sounds easy enough then and I take it that’s through contacting the ticket office or can you do it online through your ticketing profile?

You just tick a box online saying you don't want it for that game and the club sells it on. I'm not sure if you get the full cost divided by 19 back or if there is an admin fee. You obviously only get the money if the club resells the seat.

from the season ticket faq:
What can I do if I cannot attend a match as a season ticket holder?
Our new system for Season Ticket Holders will allow you to securely release your seat for re-sale if you’re unable to make a game. That ticket will then be available to purchase for new supporters through our Online Ticket Office. This is managed through the My Account section of the site, which can be accessed by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner, once you are logged in. You will need to register your bank account details ahead of making your first re-sale request. Bank details are required for us to pay supporters once the seats have been sold. Supporters are then able to choose which matches they would like to re-sell their tickets for, provided the games are currently within the re-sale period. The re-sale period will be defined by the club on a match-by-match basis. Once you make your seat available for re-sale it will appear as an available seat via the Ticket Office – both online and in person/on the phone - for eligible supporters to purchase (in line with the standard sales periods for the relevant match). Tickets that are made available for re-sale will only be able to be sold at the adult price in the price zone the seat is located - and at the category allocated to the match. Season Ticket holders will then only receive a payment for the seat should the seat be re-sold. Until the point the seat is re-sold, supporters have the right to withdraw the re-sale request, which can be done via the My Account section of the Online Ticket Office. Season Ticket holders will receive 80% of the value of their ticket for that match (the value of their ticket for that match is calculated at 1/19 of the price paid for the Season Ticket). See the example below: Price Zone 4 Adult Season Ticket price: £483 Value of individual match within Season Ticket (1/19): £25.42 Price paid to supporters once re-sale completed: £20.34
Payments will be made into bank accounts 21 days after the match has been played.

Club memberships back on sale. 40 quid for the right to buy tickets. What a joke.
-
The 80% thing does wind me up. I'm sure they'll argue it represents the cost of reselling the ticket but selling a season ticket is the cheapest way of generating revenue where they only have to incur 1/19th the cost of selling a match day ticket.
Add on the fact that they buy the ticket back from us risk-free at 80% of season ticket price and sell it at full match day price, that's quite the tidy earner for them.
-

Only when the match is sold out, though, I believe.
I used this function loads in my last year as a ST holder, god send.

Makes a different when I couldn't actually give my match ticket away to anyone for no money

Talking to a Wolves fan at the weekend he was telling me that to be on their season ticket waiting list you have to pay £30.00 per season, for this you get 1st refusal on any spare match tickets and a pair of Wolves socks
He is number 11,000 + on their waiting list and has been on this list for a couple of seasons, so I would imagine that they have similar numbers to us hoping for a season ticket - but at £30.00 a person it is not a bad way of generating cash?

It is good that we aren’t doing that but the other side of the argument is that it discourages people from just bunging people on speculatively. We are in a place where babies are on the list as soon as they pop out of the womb. I have just stuck my nephew on with genuinely no idea whether he might want a season ticket when he eventually comes to the top, but if it might take years to get there, I’m putting him on now & we’ll see whether he’s that interested when it happens. My alternative is him deciding he wants a season ticket at some point in the future, and having to wait another 3-6 years before he can have one.
Every speculative name on the list is a person they have to call when they get to the top & the list is general is something they might financially plan on the basis of. So there are reasons for a club to want to know how committed their waiting list is.
So, whilst I think it’s a rip off, I can also see why a club might do it

We are virtually doing that with our club membership - £40 and no free socks and essentially the same benefit of first stab at match tickets. But yes you're right, the only real difference is they capture people who won't be looking to go to games just yet.
-
Does anyone know if all 30,000 season tickets have been sold yet ? Asking for a friend - literally !
-
Just got another email through saying he can purchase one, even though he just purchased one last week
-
He is my son
-
Bought one yesterday after being contacted. Seemed to indicate about 3,500 still available. The choice was mainly Upper Trinity, with reducing numbers elsewhere, very few in Holte Upper or Lower.
-
Double post sorry
-
I am surprised there are 3,500 season tickets left to sell, it looks as though we wont sell as many as our 1st season back in the big league
There will be plenty of tickets on general sale for each home game
-
I’d be very surprised if there were 3,500 left, because at the FCG they said that over 27,000 had renewed and of course we know that people off the waiting list have taken their opportunity up.
There is no way theres 3,500 left. There might be that many seats to choose from, but I would say they are only planning to sell a certain number of them.
-
Just checked email received today and directed to Villa site said there 3500 tickets left
-
My mate has just sent me this…
Got through
Couldn’t say where was in queue other than list started in June 2019 and means joe (his son) joined Nov 2019
Still offering to June 2019 when lot joined
Seems like can get refunded on membership if buy and subsequently get season ticket so probably renew that now
I think main advantage have is happy to get trinity road so may still come good if 3500 left
Not sure how your son got an email after a month on the list based on that but lucky him !
-

With 11k+ on the waiting list I think those 3.5k will go pretty quickly.
-
I'm not sure how accurate the waiting list figures are. I had a look at applying, not for myself but because a friend had asked me and I wanted to make sure I was sending him the right link.
You get asked which stand you wanted to go on the waiting list for, but I didn't see an option to select multiple stands. So, if you weren't bothered where you sat, you could put yourself on the waiting list for the Upper Holte and the Lower Holte and the Upper Trinity and so on, theoretically one person could be on the waiting list nine times, once for each available stand. Even if not everyone had done that, I could easily imagine the "11,000 waiting list" having less than half that number in terms of actual people.
Though I only skim-checked it so maybe you couldn't do that.
-
I thought I read that it didn't matter which stand you put (maybe Villa support on Twitter). You'll definitely only be on once per fan ID and you can select any available seat once your turn comes.
-
Has anyone received their season ticket yet? I thought the first batch were due to be sent out yesterday.
-
Re Club Membership, I renewed mine about 10 days ago, mainly for the chance to buy tickets before they are on general sale.
Then I got contacted to say I had the chance to buy a Season Ticket, so I did that and was advised that I could keep the Membership or ask for a refund - I opted for the refund.
They did say you had to cancel Membership and claim a refund within 14 days of renewing and only if it had not been used, though I would imagine they might extend the 14 day rule if people are being contacted about Season Tickets and taking up that offer.
The only (slight) pain was the person I spoke to about Season Tickets couldn't process the cancellation of the Membership and I had to ring back. UTV.
-
If you don’t take the offer of a season ticket when you are on the waiting list are you then removed from the list?
It seems to me that a lot of the 11,000+ who were on the waiting list have declined the opportunity to buy a season ticket
-
With 50 000 infections a day I am sure there are lots of people who are reticent about traveling to and attending Villa Park.
-

That would make sense. You wouldn't restrict choice out of the 39,000 home seats to 30,000 specific seats. There will be some they won't sell such as in the middle Trinity for players etc, but you have pretty free reign of where else you'd like to make your home.
As you say we can't have sold 26,500, when two weeks ago we'd sold 27,000+.
-
Has anyone received their season ticket yet? I thought the first batch were due to be sent out yesterday.
They were starting the printing process on Monday.
It’ll be a while before they are dispatched to us.
-

I think you get 3 chances, so after 3 seasons you are removed. Can't recall where I saw that but it was definitely something like that.

That’s right - at the FCG they said that you could decline and keep your place on the waiting list for 3 seasons before being removed and having to go to the back of the queue again.
People’s reasons for this could be things like someone’s just had a baby or other care commitments, changes in financial circumstances, or simply waiting for the person they want to go with to get to the top of the list so they can go together.
-
I’ve had an email to say I have 24 hours to buy a season ticket , but when I click the link , it’s just goes through to the waiting list option.
Which I’m already on.
I got my hopes up then as well 😞

I had the same AldridgeBoy.... Go back to main menu, and go to tickets, purchase season ticket option (try not to do it on a mobile if possible - It garbles the page).
Mine has just been confirmed purchased - Cannot wait to get back. Through Uni, career and house renovation, I haven't been able to commit to a season ticket for close to 20 years - Only being able to attend the odd games. Can't wait for that routine of heading back there every week! #UTV

Make sure you are logged in or if you are try logging off and log back in again. Also you have to be linked to the new Digital Fan ID thingy. Failing that, try calling them, they’re easier to get through to at the moment.

Sorted now, purchased thank you. For some reason I had two FanID’s.
I only joined the waiting list a few weeks ago Chris.
I was a previous STH, not sure if that’s made any difference ? I wouldn’t have thought so , it’s was 10 years ago.
-
Wow, that's odd when it seems some people who have been on since 2019 haven't been offered a seat yet. But good luck to you anyway - not your fault. I put my brother on a few weeks ago, so will keep an eye out.
As an aside, I don't think a 24hr window is very reasonable, people may be away, not have the money to hand etc.
-
For people that feel they should have been contacted I would definitely try to get in touch with the club to check.
I initially couldn't buy a season ticket because they had my postcode wrong on their system. Once I phoned them they fixed it in two minutes. Can't hurt to try phoning them just in case a similar admin error is causing an easily-fixable issue.

Sometimes on a Sunday, sometimes on a Monday evening, dependant upon the TV schedules, and what will you be heading back to watch on the weekends when Villa are playing away?

Alright Grumpy! Someone get out of bed on the wrong side today?
I was obviously 'figuratively speaking' 🙄

You’ve probably sorted it, but I had the same thing. Excited about the email, clicked through to a page I couldn’t do anything with. Sorted out my fan ID on a different browser, and that fixed it. We got 4 together in the central Trinity upper, there were quite a few to choose from so don’t think we’re that close to selling out.
My 3rd kid has decided they’re massively into Villa since the other 4 of us registered a couple of years ago so now we just have to work out who misses which games ...
-
It'll be good to have you back at Villa Park, Nii Lamptey. You had a dreadful life as a youngster, so I've read.
-

So “every week” is figuratively speaking for “every other week”?

No, as it's not 'every other week' either in some cases. It was figuratively speaking for going to Villa Park at least 19 times over the course of the upcoming season.... as anyone reading my original post would have understood. You need to get out more mate.
-
I’ve come here for an argument
-
No you haven't.
-
Yes I have.
-
You’re both wrong.
-
This isn't an argument it's just contradiction
-
My new season ticket arrived this morning. That's a fact - sorry - FACT! You can't argue with that
-
Did we reach the 30000 limit on season tickets in the end?
-
Did we reach the 30000 limit on season tickets in the end?
Yes according to that AVFC Support twitter feed
-
Yeah announced sold out yesterday.
-
yep received my season ticket yesterday with a nice little sticker for the 40th Anniversary of us winning the European Cup.
I gave it to my Villa mad, Jack Grealish loving nephew

Bad news for Benjamin Zephaniah, season tickets being sent out in alphabetical order.
-
is that true?
-
Yes, website says adults in alphabetical order followed by juniors.
-
Mine arrived this morning.
My mate got his days ago but his name is Aaron Aardvark.
-
I was hoping my season ticket would arrive today - my surname begins with E and it is also my 57th birthday- hopefully tomorrow it will be here unless the post man has stolen it!!
-
I was hoping mine had by now but I'm sure it will !

I haven't had mine yet and I'm ahead of you in the alphabet. Have a good birthday. 🙂
-
Got mine today
Design of the new card is a bit disappointing and seeing a the badge on a A4 Letter + the new card reminded me just how poor the current club crest is. looks blurred
The sticker for the 40th Anniversary also very poor. nothing villa on it just a star saying 40th anniversary . won't be going in the car ,that's for sure
Remember how well packaged and presented the Season Tickets used to be.

Yeah, they used to be blue didn’t they?

No. Why did they ask us to upload photos then?
-
May I ask, is it Villa's decision alone to cap the number of season ticket holders, and not a stricture that is imposed by dint of some higher authority? And how does the policy compare to those of other top clubs?
-
So, we’ll potentially have to show 3 items to get into the ground.
Season ticket
Covid certificate
ID to prove the covid certificate belongs to the person showing it.
I think we’ll need to bring a picnic or a book to pass the time while waiting to get in.
-

It's Villas decision as they want a floating number of seats for people to be able to attaend on a casual basis. It's difficult to attract new fans if it's impossible to get a ticket to see them. I think most (if not all) clubs do this, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I notice Chelsea’s new rules say anyone between 11-18 has to provide a negative LFT within 48hrs of kick off.
The days of turning up 15 minutes before KO and being in your seats before the teams come out are over.

Surely it can't be worse than Baggies away?

Remember that slightly weird DVD with the military drumming in the background?
That was weird. Well, slightly so.
-
Just looking at my season ticket again and there isn't a gold crest which the turnstile used to read. Presumably it's hidden behind the ordinary looking crest?
-
The excitement of the pending arrival of my season ticket has been somewhat tempered by the fact that that the car sticker is of disappointment. If the Villa want me to turn up every fortnight, I want to look the part when I'm parked up in Brookvale Road. Fuming.
-
Mine has arrived, looks smart.
-
Arrived. Plain and simple which allows me to access the ground and my seat. Nothing else required.

I have no car sticker, or season tickets. This needs to be a wake up call to the board.
It’s a disaster. I may break my iPad in fury.

Got mine. I may cancel it now as the sticker is shite!

I hope my place in the waiting list comes up before Jack Grealish stops playing for the Villa.

mine has just arrived - it's not as robust as the previous one but it's here, Grealish or no Grealish, it will be great to be back at a packed Villa Park

Mine hasn't turned up yet which is a bit of a concern, given they were going alphabetically.
-
Do we know what will happen to those that have purchased season tickets but haven't had the two jabs come the end of September?
-
Proof of a negative test before each game I would suspect

Any chance we can get that ugly rat face off the website for tickets please
-
What letter are we up to in terms of receiving adult season tickets? (they're sending in alphabetical order I think)
I'm normally pretty relaxed about these things, but would good to know whether it should have been received by now just in case I need to look into it.

i'm aware man united, liverpool, spurs and west ham all have a season ticket cap. villa historically never needed one until 19/20.

One M turned up Saturday, but another M (same name and address ) is being sent separately!

Anyone read anything about if upgrading a kids ST to an adult one will be possible for games they cant get to, I know you used to be able to do this but suspect COVID might put a halt on it? Cant find anything on website and dont fancy an hour on the phone.
-
I spoke to them today (35 min wait) and they said yes, you can upgrade, give them a call once tickets are on sale. Im sure you could do it through the website in the past, but the guy on the phone said you’ve never been able to.
-
Yes You can upgrade I did it a few times last season
You could only do it by phone and not online
I’m presuming nothing has changed this season

Thanks both

Anyone having issues linking accounts on the website? Need to do it to purchase memberships but it seems to be hanging.

The website is still something of a mystery to me. Whenever I go to the tickets section it reminds me to link my ID but when I click into my profile it all seems in order. So if you think you have done it already it's probably fine. If you don't think you have just keep persevering with the labyrthine different parts of the website and it should be sorted.
-
I just discovered that despite signing up to the waiting list for my son over two years ago, because the system logged my fan ID, not his, the Villa just cancelled his place.
So I've had to add him again today and the chap at the ticket office reckons there are about 13,000 on the wait list now.
Nice one Villa. Grealish will be a Villa player again by the time my lad gets a season ticket! 😡
-
Changing the subject slightly, I've just bought my ticket for the Newcastle game and it shows the season as 2020/21. You'd think they would get it right wouldn't you?
I hastily checked the date and time of the match and that's correct.
-
I just simply don’t believe that there are 13k people on the ST waiting list
-
Just had a quick look - tickets for Noocassel went on sale at 5.00 and only just over 2,000 seats left. Not that many more for the Brentford game.
Glad I've got my ST through (R - surname) for me and the eldest lad. UTV.
-
Still not got mine “M”.

Do you have evidence of having (mistakenly) done it? Given the acknowledged pigs ear of a system, my feeling is they should and would honour it if it’s a provable genuine mistake. I’d get in touch with Lee Preece and then be very patient as my experience is complex issues are not getting attended to quickly:

Have shifted the Season Tickets to the family zone have now found small print that you can’t upgrade a kids one in that zone (they maintain no only adult groups there), have been enquiring about if this is enforced eg even for an elder etc, still waiting for any response. (It’s a bit more complex an enquiry than that, but this bit worth being aware of).

Yep, I've got the email confirmation from June 2019. I'm sure at the time there was no option to reassign the wait list place as I've bought extra tickets loads of times and assigned them to friends fan IDs before. The chap on the phone was having none of it though.
Does anyone have Lee Preece's email address?

Am I safe in assuming the same applies to upgrade my dad's pensioner ticket to an adult one for the games he can't go to so my brother can use it?
On a similar note would I need to change a pensioner one to take a junior in or is a concession ticket a concession ticket?

I couldn't do it until I got through to them on the phone then they worked it out. Address or postcode on the system was a character wrong or something like that.
-
Cheers, have bounced them an email
-
You could try Tweeting AVFC Support your Fan ID, name, address and postcode, too. They might be able to fix if it's just an admin error.

Presumably only in a private/direct message!
My one T arrived today, the kiddo’s still to come as expected.
Been priming/preparing her for her first match, she had an endearing attempt at yippie aye yay already :)

On entry the light either shows concession or adult, so i think some don’t bother if they are different types. Technically I’m sure it should be the exact type. There is IIRC a limit to how many upgrades per season, again no idea if enforced, I imagine best not to ask too many questions on that and come up against a limit if and when it occurs.
Last time we were in I upgraded my dad’s elders a good few times, never any issues. It’ll be interesting if anything is stricter, but the ST letter suggests most Covid extra rules are dropped save much cleaning. Which when you consider stuff has a limit to how long it can survive would often probably be overkill, but I guess eg first 2 in 8 days it makes sense.

Went down to the ground, ticket office was closed with a notice to say phone them, I did, an hour on the phone, then cut off without speaking to anyone. First time the ticket office have been anything other than first class but very annoying.

Received Adult W.
If you're significantly before W I'd be getting on to them.

Thank you. It’d be interesting to count up ex’s/dates I converted to the Villa, on multiple continents, but to (hopefully) bring on the at least 4th generation in the family is something special :)

I need to speak to them about wheelchair tickets. I held for 75 minutes this afternoon before losing the will to live and hanging up! This was after 2 sessions of holding for 45 minutes each time this morning.
-
Kids ‘A’ tickets came today. We’re all set.
-
Are we back at full capacity for home games?
-
With some Areas of Birmingham having very high percentages of people being unvaccinated I do hope they bring in Mandatory Vaccine Certificates and Testing before each game .
Why on earth should we all suffer and risk catching the virus or return to games being played behind closed doors because of selfishness.
All needs to be uploaded online though as could be absolute chaos if checking Vaccine Passes / Tests at the Gate
-

We’ve had our adult tickets through but not my lads tickets, is there a delay?. Just seems strange we didn’t get them all at once.

I thought that I read working through adults in alphabetical order then moving on to kids. If I hadn't received an adult ticket by now I'd be looking into it.

Got my Claret pack through today, very nice.

Just been texting around a few people in my section in the LTR.
No one I know has received their Season Ticket cards yet.

Me neither, nor any of the reprobates we sit with in the LTR.

They’ve certainly made a lot of extra work for themselves!
Anyway, bring it on, can’t wait.

An hour and 20 mins on the phone to sort this, added to another two calls totalling over an hour when I didn’t get to speak to anyone. Unacceptable, particularly as they can see how long people are waiting and adjust resource accordingly
Kind of thing that’s annoying when they do that thing of comparing football to other forms of entertainment, if I’d have waited 10 mins trying to book theatre or cinema tix I’d have given up and gone elsewhere

Is the ticket office physically open?

No mate

Is the ticket office physically open?
Don't believe so, I think they're still working from home.
-
So the ticket office isn't open and it seems almost impossible to get through by phone. It's not going to be easy to upgrade a ticket for the first match is it?
Have to say I'm not impressed!
-
I need to get in touch with them regarding an issue with my season ticket - Didn't realise how bad it was until I tried to contact them myself.
For a club supposedly on the up, what an absolute shambles of a setup they have here for supporters... especially at this stage of the season where there will undoubtedly be more demand for the service.
Ticket office at Villa Park closed and phone lines only open from 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm from Mon-Fri. I've been calling repeatedly since Wednesday and still no luck. Absolute mockery of a service.
Have the club acknowledged the situation, or is there anyone on here with links to the club who can give them a nudge to sort their shit out?
-
As an aside, kids 'S' turned up this morning.

I've always found using social media mostly twitter @avfcsupport gets a response within 24 hours

Agree about the Twitter account. Usually very good at assisting fans with ticket issues.

Sligo Tom of this parish (retired old bugger that he his) has had the patience to sit on hold and finally got through to the TO to ask about why ST cards for the blocks behind the dugouts still haven't arrived.
Apparently ST cards (not sure if it's some or all) for that area cannot be issued because people are still being relocated due to COVID distancing rules by the dugouts.
I have DM'd the Twitter support to see if I'm affected
-
40mins on hold only to get cut off at 1pm when they have their sandwiches. Arrrgh!!

Exactly the same. Cut off after an hour on hold. We spent over two grand on 4 STs, haven’t got them, and are away this week (heading straight to the Newcastle game without going home first, home is Yorkshire now). No idea what to do. This is terrible service and reflects badly on the club.

Spent 2 hours on hold with them last week, was cut off both times (assume it just times out after so long) so just gave up in the end.

I'd use the twitter account, and you should be able to get in with emailed PDF match tickets scanned off a phone to save having to pick anything up. (though the reallocating around the dugouts sounds complex, I hope no one messed up)
Dad and I also given up about upgrade enquiries on the phone for now...
-
No DM reply from the Twitter account to my queries of last week or this

It wouldn't be the first time if we turn up behind the dugouts and there are ticketed people in our seats

Are people Tweeting AVFC Support? They came back to me fairly quickly before. Alternatively maybe email the club?

Is Nicky Keye still around? She made everything better re tickets.

Sold to Man City ☹

Barry, Millie, Delphy, Jackie and Nicky...they take anything of worth that we have, fcuking bastards. Must be how Brentford feel about us.
-
Can anyone advise how I make my ST seat available for sale on the website? I can’t get to the Brentford game and I have no idea how to advise the club online after clicking all over the place. Twenty minutes on hold without being answered before I had to go back to work, so a phone query was no help either. Last time I had a ST it was a booklet… thanks in advance.

You can only do it once the match is sold out, and even then it's at the club's discretion whether or not to allow resales.

That explains it; thanks for the update. General sale starts tomorrow so I’ll check later in the week.

She got the reply that C4 and C5 in Lower Trinity have been posted.

EDIT........and indeed it was. ST Card arrived Tuesday morning

Just trying to link things if either match goes on general sale tomorrow....last went to Watford at home in Jan 2020 so used the fan ID from that email confirmation....and of course it says The Fan ID dosen't exist/details don't match.
Should I tweet, ring up or just create a new account in the morning?
-
about 440 tickets left for Newcastle and about 1,500 for Bentford.
Ticket resale seems to be live for both games.

Try to get in touch if you can, I had similar and it was just a glitch on the system that was easily fixed once I spoke to someone. By the sound of it, though, actually speaking to someone is the difficult bit.

Finally got through to the ticket office this morning - Kind of feel sorry for the staff on the end of the lines, as they clearly need more support. Great service if you can eventually get through.
Trick was that phonelines go online at 10am, so called around 30 secs prior to this to give the automated messages time to play out and hit that 10am window. You then hit the 1 key like you're playing Track & Field to go through all the options, and bingo! ;)
