A fair summary Dave. We are just a bit doom-mongery. Let's beat Southampton eh!
-
Done.

Results thus far not lived up to the Bielsa hype. Looked very good in most of their games I’ve seen this season.

Lost as many as they'd won.

Their game against Sheffield United was similar to this was for a hour, very even game which could’ve gone either way with Sheffield United having the better chances. Bamford scored in the last minute to win it. If it’d been 2-0 to Sheffield United they’d have had no complaints.

Good summary. I too am worried about our history streakiness - good runs followed by seemingly interminable and inexplicable bad runs.
-
Good read as always Dave. I just wondered whether you ever think history has a part in influencing a result.
Over the years Leeds are a team that doesn't mind playing at villa park.
I can recall more than one spanking at home. I seem to remember them bringing Greame Taylor's villa unbeaten run to an end at VP with a 2-1 defeat. We didn't beat them at home in the championship year even.

Great read Dave.

Given the resources I'd argue it's remarkable that they can ever look as good as they did the other day.

What we saw the other day is them looking good and strong and us playing our worst 35-45 minutes of the season. It happens and it creates a divide that is greater than it is. No different to us vs Liverpool, Man U vs Spurs, West Ham vs Wolves or Leicester, Man City vs Leicester. All this season where one side just hasn't performed and been battered. The defeat isn't what will define us. It's how we react.

Looking forward to Press-ing on at your convenience and Press-ing on up the khyber.
