Puerile. Pointless. But I do always enjoy looking at the league table at this time of year.

Below those fucking fannies Arsenal? FFS. Smith out.
Will probably settle for that bottom three, tbh.
-
I think 18th is nailed on to happen.
-
Will take 2nd place come May if I’m honest.
-
Up a place on this time last season. Smith in!

Points total, absolutely though I see them 2 places further down the table come the end of the season.
-
Massive improvement in the defence which is good to see. A lot of clean sheets. Still having problems up front though.
-
Mid table - In Smith we trust.
-
Mid-table mediocrity would do for me next season. No more dramas, disappointments or nail-biting, SBT finishes.
-
I didn’t think this warranted a new thread, as opponents aren’t included , but equally didn’t knew where to post.
So here was my choice 😀
The schedule for this season. December is a busy month !!

And January. Bloody hell, we're going to need a big squad.
-
Are they going to stagger a programme of league fixtures over two weekends in Jan/Feb again like last season's winter "break" ? From the looks of it, the players are going to be worked as hard as during "project restart".
-
Winter break has been cancelled.

Is there a swingometer to track our progress at this stage each season? There really should be, it's difficult to tell how we're progressing otherwise.
-
I think this puts us automatically into the groups stages of the Champions League. Playing Barca, Bayern, Madrid every other week is where it's at.
I've never enjoyed our qualifying games when we field our reserves to brush aside smaller teams from countries about which we know little. In fact, it's a bloody liberty we are made to play all these pointless league games all over England cos we always qualify at the start of the season for the Champions League.

With Villa and Burnley both qualified for the Champions League it could be an all claret and blue Champions League final.
-
That Burnely fan who bought a Villa shirt cos at least they were the same colours would be proper vexed.

I have just been looking at the bookies odds for next season. For the top 10 they are going
1. Man City
2. Liverpool
3. Manure
4. Chelsea
5. Arsenal
6. Spurs
7. Leicester
8.Wolves
9. Everton
10. Leeds
They also reckon Villa, Fulham and Albion will be the three who go down.

I can see one club in that top ten whose supporters have been piling on to reduce their odds.
-
Fulham, Albion and Crystal Palace for the bottom three.
-
Alphabetically at least, that relegation trio would be a dream come true.

Agreed. Leeds might well stay up, but I'll go out on a limb right now and say they've no hope of top 10 unless they bring in some serious talent.
-
As it stands I can't see Leeds scoring enough goals to be successful in the top flight. I also think the likes of Palace and Brighton have rather aging squads.
-
Leeds top 10? No chance.
-
There's always a team who come up, battle for a few seasons, then get complacent and go down. This time it could be Burnley.
-
I think Sheffield United might struggle this time around.
-
Not sure about that. They are a well-drilled side.
-
Three down from:
Fulham
Brighton
Burnley
Crystal Palace
Southampton
-
There's literally 10-12 clubs that could go down next season.
I literally hope it's Leeds, Bitters and Wolves.

2nd in the table with us almost into the middle of September is excellent.
-
Around 12th and 10 points clear of relegation would be a good season. Try to finish above likes of Palace and Burnley who may not be as big as us but are established prem clubs now.
Hopefully get some more points off top 7. Win over Arsenal should help as that game showed if you defend well enough there isn't much to fear.
-
12th would be great. 16th will do. Again.
-
Not too fussed with our league position as long as it’s higher than 18th, because I’m absolutely convinced we’re going to win the FA Cup.

No this time we are. You can put your life savings on it.
-
All £8.16!?
-
Leeds down by Christmas would be fun, closely followed by West Ham and The Stripey Filth.

Leeds, Newcastle and Leicester for me please.
-
I would like to see WHU finally go south, along with Leeds and West Brom.
-
Somebody sent me “leaked fixtures” for the coming season. If it’s true we are away at Spurs again but it’s probably bullshit.
-
File under definite bullshit. As it is every season.

And have the stripey filth stay up? Has your account been hacked?

I'd forgotten they'd even clawed themselves up to be honest! Still, tricky one, as I loathe those three teams more than I do the Baggy twats.
-
That promoted Filth with the stripes
The kit steelers or everyones 2nd fav team
Dirty Leeds
UTV
The Doc

I'd be just as happy with those 3 going down as us finishing second
-
Liverpool, Leeds and Wolves for me.
Hate, Hate, just for shits and giggles.
