Title: Yanited
Post by: Archbishop Herbert Cockthrottle on January 23, 2020, 03:21:27 PM
I was just listening to Radio Five Live and Nihal Arthanayake was interviewing Ian Stirling (Man Yoo vice chair of the supporters club) and he refused to condemn the chanting calling for the death of Ed Wooward Vice Chairman and said they were just 'nursery rhymes'. Sounded a charming chap. I hope they go down*, the spoilt shits.

*You can dream though

I don't think we ever got to the point of chanting similar to Doug, but there were a few on here who wished him dead at certain times.

I didn't realise there were those chants last night, but I laughed at some of the ex-players comments this morning. Fletcher did make a reasonable point that young players could be affected in a toxic atmosphere, however Ferdinand stated worry was kids in schools wouldn't want Manure shirts after those type of performances.....

Diddums. You mean the stream of plastics they’ve had since the mid-90s might dry up?!

Having ridden the wave on Fergusson's success a dose of reality is no bad thing. They need to recalibrate their expectations. Perhaps Mourinho was right, second was a fantastic result for them.

In fairness, most clubs incluing us have sung the 'build a bonfire' song in the past.

I much prefered them winning everything, I was completely immune to it. The Liverpool wankfest is going to be horrendous.

Liverpool and Man United are two cheeks of the same arse. Hope they rot. Obviously, might have to wait a while in the former case.

We were the predominant English club of the 1890s, which at the time probably meant we were the biggest club in the world.  Unfortunately, empires crumble and are often never re-built.  So it would seem with ManUre.  Tough.  Their fans will just have to get used to what we and many others have as our lifetime supporting experience: enjoying our past triumphs vicariously and hoping for the occasional season in the sun.

Used to crack me up during their golden era the amount of plastics that would phone up 606 to have a rant. I guess they'll all claim they were Liverpool fans all along now. Script used to go like this:

"Now let's go to Dave, from Tunbridge Wells, Man United fan. Were you at the game today Dave?"

"Nah, listened to it on the radio (rambles nonsense for another 5 minutes)
"

Long may it continue - not a game went by when those twunts would run on our pitch.

I was all for Manure knocking Liverpool off their perch after growing up with Liverpool 'supporting' kids. I am now quite pleased that Liverpool are making Manure look so second/third rate. I think at a push I would rather talk to a plastic Liverpool fan than a plastic Manure fan.

For me I’d talk football to neither, other than to expose their plastic ness. Their opinion is utterly worthless to me.

Quite. I'll talk football with the Blose, Albion, Oxford, Kidderminster, Forest and various other club fans at work. When Liverpool or Man U gloryhunters try to engage me in football chat I make my excuses. You're not a football fan if you can't take the pain and misery that goes with it and have to pick a team just because they win every week.

"Liverpool and Man United are two cheeks of the same arse". Fantastic! I am stealing that to throw at fans of both clubs in the future. That will really boil their piss.

That show is as bad as anything I have seen. An absolute cringe fest.

When did Khave Solahal and Dharma Sheth (pardon the spelling on both) become experts on everything football? Who actually places value on their opinions?

And as for Man Utd. Fuck em.

TBF, Manure are being linked to about 30 players this window so any programme about transfers would be mostly them.

Manure don't need thirty new players.

About ten new players and a new manager should do it though.

I take great pleasure in watching United struggle, growing up in Tamworth many around me were United/Liverpool, happy to give it the big one, but never been to a game in their lives, always annoys the hell out of me driving north to away games and I see buses of United and Liverpool fans coaches coming from anywhere and everywhere, Keele services being like an unofficial supporters club

I will also never understand the big support they pull in from London either.

I also find it strange how many claim to hate City when much of their fanbase resides from far far away of Manchester, there was a United fan bleeding poverty the other night with the Burnley kick off time as he had to travel down from Glasgow.  My heart bled

I used to work with a Liverpool fan from Battersea (basically in the shadow of Stamford Bridge, and within spitting distance of Craven Cottage). He went to his first game at Anfield when I shared an office with him. He was in his early thirties a the time. He came back traumatised afterwards as his fellow home fans, upon hearing his accent, called him a plastic and said his support wan't welcome.

I mean, it was a bit uncalled for and unkind of them to do so, but a small part of me enjoyed hearing about it.

To be fair these days they are just another of many clubs called United. One point above Sheffield, four points above Newcastle and eleven points ahead of West Ham who are 17th. I am sure they can console themselves that whilst Manchester City and Liverpool are streets ahead of them they are still doing better than Leeds.

Their fans bleating on Twitter is bad enough for me to even consider wanting 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' to win the league, it’s that bad. Wankers.

The upside is that if Liverpool are the best Manure fans cry. If Manure are the best Liverpool fans cry. So I look at is as a win/win situation.

The worst that will ever happen to those entitled twats is that they'll finish midtable a few times. You'd think the Glazers had bulldozed Old Trafford and executed "Giggsah" by the way they're blarting on.

The only good thing about the amount of press coverage they get, is that most managers will be hounded out long before they can turn it around.

Must be said though, downgrading your team in almost every position for £700 million is some achievement. Sincere well done to all involved.

You just know the fuckers will still pull out a result at Villa Park though. Boxing Day 89 is still one of my all time best games attended as a Villa fan.

A podcast stated that Man U are happy to create the rumours because mere speculation generates traffic/clicks to their website etc which in turn produces income.  You would hope that a football club would be above this sort of shenanigans however when you look at the money ‘influencers’ can make with a fraction of the following it makes sense, well kinda/ish especially when they are failing at their main objectives.

It's a long journey from Surrey to Cheshire, just to chant a bit and throw a flare.

Seriously though, that is well out of order. The man has young children as well.
