Happy birthday to me! I got thinking about Villa games on my birthday, there must have been a few over the years but of ones i actually attended the one that springs to my mind was just a regular league game in 1997. We beat Everton 2-1, it was the final season for Brian Little and we had made a poor start but Everton were even worse and I'm thinking we put them bottom of the league by beating them.
Gary Speed scored a very quick penalty for them and we equalised through a Savo tap in. Big Ugo scored a header in front of the North Stand for the winner. Collymore actually had one of his better games and had a goal chalked off about ten mins from the end. That was on my 20th birthday!
As for games around my actual birth date I think we beat Athletic Bilbao in the UEFA Cup the following day.
Any one have any special memories of games on their birthday? There must be someone out there with Rotterdam or Wembley memories on their birthday which would have been incredible.

My birthday is 27th May. This year was my bestest birthday ever (and I have had a lot).
Forget Happy Birthday To You - Sweet Caroline is my birthday song.
My 2nd best was in 1982 when I sat in a bar by the canal in Amsterdam still in a daze from the night before.

19th April...
Rob Edwards debut I think, Allback scoring twice and winning 2-1 vs Chelsea all on my 40th birthday :)

I think the first time I went to a game on my birthday was 9th Nov 1983. We beat Man City 3-0 in the Milk Cup.
The next time was my eighteenth birthday on 9th Nov 1988 when we beat Small Heath 6-0 in the Simod Cup.
I saw us beat Fulham 3-1 on 9th Nov 2002.
I had a nightmare Sunday birthday on 9th Nov 2008. I took my wife to Villa Park and we lost 1-2 to Boro. We then headed for our local pub which had run out of lager and then went on to our favourite Indian restaurant which had closed early.

First game on my birthday was the 1977 League Cup final at Wembley. Spent it in a hotel in London as we'd flown back early from a holiday to go to it. So an exciting 0-0.
Next one was Arsenal (A) in the FA Cup in 1983. I was sure we were going to win the cup that season, we lost 2-0.
Oxford (A) LC semi 1986 less said the better.
Leeds (H) 1988 lost 2-1
Man Ure (H) 1989 0-0
Ipswich (H) 1994 lost 2-1
Boro (H) 2008 1-1
Spurs (A) 2016 lost 2-0
So in 49 years we've managed to avoid my birthday a hell of a lot, which is just as well as we've never won on it!

Are you married to Legion?

It was my birthday on 22/10/1980 we beat Brighton 4-1 (Mortimer, Withe, Bremner and Shaw). We went top of the old first division, for the first time in decades!) the rest is history
-
The first b'day game I went to was Villa 4, Charlton 1 on Jan 20th, 1968. McLeod, Greenhalgh, Godfrey and Woodward were the scorers. John Dunn made his debut in goal.

4-1 against Newcastle, 2008, is the only game I remember being on my birthday. Great game, Carew hattrick. I was in the lower Holte and felt in physical danger from his penalty.
There was also 2-0 against Norwich in the relegation year, but I have wiped that whole season from my memory. I had given up by that point and when told we'd won by my brother, I said, "it must be my fucking birthday!"
-
Ugggghhh vs Rachel Riley Utd away this year on my birthday
I don't give a fuck that her father is from Salford, she's just another glory hunter and can gat tae fuck
-
I have just remembered another birthday that coincided with a Villa game. We beat Cardiff 2-0 at Villa Park with the help of a Bacuna free kick in 'The Lambert Years'.
-
My Birthday is in July , so never had the pleasure of a proper league or cup game on my big day. My wife , two kids and even my late dog were born on days the Villa played !
-
My birthday always falls in an international break these days which isn't necessarily a bad thing, Villa can't ruin it for me. I remember going to Grimsby at home in the league cup on my birthday. We went out on away goals after extra time. My name was on the scoreboard at half time but they spelt it wrong. We'd beaten Luton 4-0 on the preceding Saturday, that might have been the better choice.
-
The Arsenal cup final. Horrible.
-
My birthday is also now in an international break but as far a I remember we had a complete winning record - beating Spurs 3-1, Leicester 2-0 and Crystal Palace 3-1.
-
Never been to a Villa game on my birthday but as it's 23 May there are very limited opportunities. But this season the FA Cup final is on Saturday 23 May. ;D
-
First game I saw on my birthday was Norwich in 1977. 3-0 ( Gray, Little, Sid).
Most memorable game on my birthday was Blues at home in 1983. Peter Withe winner, blues missing a pen, Noel Blake head-butting Steve McMahon.

I took my son to the 2015 FA Cup Final against Arsenal. It was his fourteenth birthday.
-
Last year I was at the Villa versus Forest 5-5. Prior to that I was at the game versus Watford the year we got relegated and lost 2-4. I'd have to trawl the records to find any others as nothing sticks out.
-
May 28th- no games on my birthday, ever.

My son's birthday is May 30th. In 2015 we 'celebrated' his birthday at Wembley by being beaten by Arsenal in the FA Cup final. I remember a couple of occasions prior to that when we had a family barbecue to celebrate his birthday. We set up a TV outside. On one occasion it was the Chelsea v Everton 2009 FA Cup final 30th May 2009 and on another England played Japan in a tournament warm up friendly on 30th May 2010.
-
The only Villa game I can remember from my birthday was 23 May 1977 last game of season v olbion - we won at home, but I was not there - preparing for my French oral exam the morning after.
-
Other than meaningless pre-season friendlies, absolutely nothing. (damn August birthdays)
-
My birthday is June 9th <sigh>
-
August 19th. We last beat Man U in the league in 1995 on my 13th birthday.

Snap my birthday is also 27 May not only was this year my best ever birthday, I've had 69 of them, it was also the most nerve-racking one!

Mine's a September birthday, usually the point when early season optimism is fading. On checking the record books, within a few hours of being born we were hammered by Wolves (I didn't go to that one!). In the decades, and numerous games on that day since, we've won once only, let in six at home and been heavily defeated in Europe. I prefer non-birthday days as far as the Villa are concerned!
-
Was the 'six at home' game against Chelsea, BG?

That's the one DC.Bobby Tambling's finest hour (and a half!)

Today was the most recent. I don't actually remember any wins at VP in person but will take a look.

Happy birthday, mate!

Best birthday present ever.

Mine is 12 December and the most memorable win was at the Sty in 1987. Woke up with a raging hangover and spent most of the journey from Euston trying not to be sick. The worst crush I have ever been in outside the ramshackle Tilton meant I didn't get in until nearly half time, despite being at the ground 45 minutes before kick off. Bruno's winner made it all worthwhile and I was able to down a few that night.
Forest in 1992 was a good one as it was my 30th, and beating Man U in 2009 was a very rare treat. The less said about Blues at home in 2004 the better.
-
My birthday is 8th January. The nearest weekend is usually the FA cup 3rd round games but for the life of me i cannot remember a villa game on my birthday.
-
My birthday is August 26. I can only remember going to a nondescript match at home to Charlton in this day in 1989. It was 1-1. Great season though!
-
Feb 21. Was born on the day we beat Palace 2-1 in the championship season. My 9th birthday we beat Spurs 2-0 away to go top in 1990. My 15th Birthday we drew 0-0 with Arsenal in the LC semi in 1996 to get to the final. On the flip side, we lost 2-1 recently on my birthday to Stoke in Tactic Tim's first game!
-
Slightly different take on Games on my birthday to others......here goes!
Since 1889-90 there have been 20 games on my birthdate (not birthday!)
Eight Homes, Twelve Aways
5 Wins, 11 draws, 4 losses
Last win was in 1974-75 Season (I was at school then)
There has been One Premier league game, and 3 (old) Div Two Games, the rest (old) Div One
There has been no game on my birthday since season 1996-97 Why so?
We have played SH/Bcfc, Sunderland, Derby and Forest twice each on this day, no other team(s) more
Conclusion..if you can make 130 years of age, then ecstacy prevails about once every 26 years, and content not to lose about 12% of the time! Enjoy it while you can!

Mine is Christmas Day! I have nothing more to add to this thread
