Spot on regarding VAR.

Spot on, one year on, what a difference a Smith makes
-
The PPI bit was a corker.

Well said about binary decisions regarding VAR. Matters of opinion should be left to the ref and left on the pitch. Otherwise we might as well have a drone ref hovering over the players.

Agree. In rugby, the referee might ask the TV official to check something, but then they put it up on the big screen for the referee to look at again.
They need to work this out an quickly.

Until I read your piece Dave I had actually forgotten how far we have come in 12 months.
-
Agree, VAR is a farce which has done Villa no favours whatsoever this season.

I thought VAR would be a good thing but it's been awful. That decision yesterday was nonsense but nothing compared to the one in the Tottenham match where their defender quite clearly kicked the Watford player twice and it wasn't given. It's bad enough seeing a howler from a ref who's made a decision in real time, possibly with a limited view and certainly very little time to make his mind up, but you can understand it. How people are making these awful decisions after watching a slo mo from several angles is genuinely baffling. I mean, it's making Shearer look like he knows what he's talking about and that can't be right.

VAR shite. The Referee should be backed, not over-ruled, unless, as Dave said, the ball is out or there is an obvious foul or issue. Nothing obvious in the challenge by Wesley, goal should have stood.
-
Brilliant read Dave we have gone from being below Wigan and Bristol City to being above Man Utd and Everton love it.

Thanks Daz. I was getting worried about you.

At the very least after a delay like that benefit of the doubt should be a factor.
