Title: The Club's merchandise
Post by: wittonwarrior on July 24, 2019, 01:10:13 PM
Can you return them directly through the post office?

Fuming ordered 2 x shirts which arrived the sizes ordered do not match the size  of the shirts  in real  terms.

I think this will happen a lot because of the sizing problem.
Legally you have a right to return and exchange or refund Sale of Goods Act.

I'm guessing too small?  Are the shirts labelled the size you ordered and the sizing is just too small or have you actually been sent the wrong sizes?

One of each actually. Yes I know it’s bizarre

These problems are always going to arise whilst the club only sell from VP or direct.  The days of going to the nearest sports shop - even just to try for size before placing an order online - would have avoided a lot of hassle for people, especially parents buying for kids.  I wonder if the growth plan for the club will include the distribution of kit through retailers again?

For those of you going to the club shop to buy a shirt beware.
They do not stock anything larger than XL in the home shirt.

Now, that is not to disparage fat bastards.
People who may have worn  a large in previous kits, will find the new shirt sizes really do come up small and therefore a larger size may be necessary.

The club shop know this and that people may be buying larger sizes but they don’t keep any fecking  stock of them.

Ridiculous!

Italian sizing always comes up small - anyone who has tried to squeeze into certain cycling brands will know this.

You would have thought that it wouldn't have been too difiicult for them to sense check against UK sizes (or last years shirts) and label the shirts accordingly, but I presume they don't want to depart from their normal standards.

The new owners have got so much right since they arrived, it seems slightly churlish to criticise them for this, but another year, and another year of shirt issues is not very good at all.

It’s a shame when they have got so much right, but the commercial activity seems pretty amateurish in comparison to what is happening on the playing side.

I don't know, there may be a causal link between sports shops not stocking football kits and people buying them online.

Because the club outsourced everything over the last few years there might be contracts in place. I’m pretty confident with the people in charge making the right commercial decisions from now on.
