I remember going down in 96 and Don't Look Back in Anger was the first song on the radio as we set off. Seems apt.
That said, when I set off at half 6 tomorrow to blast it down the M6 to Brum for the pick ups, it will be Gang of Youths as I'm cool as fuck me.
Inside the ground, I like Allez, Allez as its clean and one of the few songs that has got all four sides of Villa Park belting it out.
Looking forward to belting it out one last time to see us over the line.

Has anyone got links to Deano at the wheel and Sweet Caroline (starting Paul McGrath...) being sung?
And it's Aston Villa, Aston Villa F C, we're by far...would be my choice. It's a long time since we've been able to sing it consistently with real gusto and all 4 sides of VP joining in with it vs the bitters in the playoff semi demonstrated how it should be done.

I totally agree. If we sing that we might as well go the full Small Heath and all get car stickers proclaiming 'Back In The Big Time'. As for a song I read the title of this thread and thought the idea was to sing Elton John's 'Your Song' throughout the game. Although to be fair H&V's Nev did a pretty decent Karaoke turn performing it back in the day. Sadly, on the other side of the coin my karaoke version of 'Daniel' in honour of my son was far from my finest moment.

Have to say, that's absolutely my favourite Villa song ever. Probably since it was the first season I started going regularly, plus it had my 4 favourite players at the time in it (plus Tony Cascarino, who sort of became a favourite on the basis that he was in that song...)
As a weird side note, I wanted to be a winger. Wasn't very good, mind, so i painted myself with brown paint because I thought it'd make me more like Tony Daley
