anybody know yet if we got the green man again ...
-
Sounds like it now the west end has been confirmed...I'll be the one wearing a Villa shirt so see you all there! :D
-
Cracking pub, full of Villa
-
Was there last season brilliant pub.
-
Is service ok with so many expected?
-
'kin 'ell, this shaggin' pub is getting more publicity on here than the banners at the top of the page.

Only been once and the long wait to get served was one of the reasons we haven’t been back.
-
Great atmosphere but takes ages to get served....it helps when they have the extra pop up bars outside selling typical shit football pub lager.....
but I will be there again because that's where so many of my Villa mates go to. It's become part of our Wembley tradition.
-
Inside is a nightmare to get served, but they had pop up bars outside for the FA Cup semi and final...and they had built a new bar outside for last years playoff final (serving Guinness, Hop House, and crap like Carling or Fosters). Never had any issues getting served last year and it was rammed. It’s not cultured by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s always a great atmosphere full of happy Villa enjoying a song and a pint in the sun.

I went to the Green Man early on last season as I had some time to kill. It was the first time I'd been there. I was pleasantly surprised at the (comparative) ease in which we got served but it was early. As stated, there are a few outdoor kiosks & I don't think any of us actually went inside the pub at all.
It's a good laugh and good experience and a great atmosphere. It's not really my scene though as I hate crowds. For locality, I doubt you'll find a better pre-match drink anywhere around Wembley. When we left, the green at the bottom of the road was also ram packed with people who had stocked up from Tescos. At that time (3 hours before kick off), they had drunk Tescos dry so perhaps not the best of ideas.

I'll be on the green down the road, with a box of cans. Great atmos last year
-
Last year, we went for a curry at Station 31, then drinks at The Corner House and The Arch, all on the Harrow Road round by Wembley Stadium station. Both boozers were busy, but surprisingly far from being insufferable, especially considering how close to the ground they are.

Any child friendly pubs?
-
From West Mids Police Aston Villa football unit on Twitter “#avfc #utv Fans have been given the West Side of the stadium which includes The Green Man, Liquor Station, JJ Moons, Masti, Flannery’s Bar, Station 31, The Corner House, Holiday Inn, St George Hotel, Ibis Hotel Best Western Hotel, Events pad-Fan Zone and Box Park 😁”
-
Anyone know if we can use the Arch pub this year? I know it’s not on the list but was pretty decent last year.
-
Awful for getting served so take some cans/bottles and sit outside on the grass
-
Liquor Station was good last year. They stuck a cd on so we had Jeff Beck, Johnny Cash etc etc for us to sing along to. Eastern European run pub so it was labelled an "Aston Willa" pub on the outside.
-
I’m going JJ moons to abuse ordering via the app until it collapses like last season. Then onto the green with a crate
-
Any pubs round Wembley showing the game? I'm guessing they must do.
-
I think it's been mentioned on one of the other threads that no, within a radius of a mile or whatever it was, they don't screen the game that's being played.
-
I suppose there is a certain logic to that

Absolutely this.
-
I got served okay inside The Green Man last year. I did put this down to the fact that by the time I got there at 3pm most blokes were at the puking up in plastic glasses stage.

Glastonbury has gone downmarket
