Pravda ticket site front page still promoting the home leg of the Semi-Final
Not a good sign for the inevitable upcoming chaos
-
I know it's going to be chaos again.
-
I have difficulty logging on. If go through normal portal on the website which starts www.avfc.co.uk/tickets..etc it doesn't recognise my details. But if I open up a link from a previous email for ticket purchase which starts www.tickets.avfc....etc I can get into my account. I foresee problems.

People FFS give them a chance.
-
Wont it will be after the Derby Leeds game. I would think it will be Friday when the 1st batch to season ticket holders go on sale. Starting with the most expensive season ticket holders
-

Prepared
-
I would imagine/hope that the ticket office staff have just rolled into work, bleary eyed and badly hungover, wondering if last night was a dream and wishing they could go back to bed for a couple of hours before firing up their computers and realising what a busy fucking day they have ahead of them. Just like most of us on here. Give them a chance
-
My dad is on holiday so I'm giving his ticket to my mate.
Qiestion 1: as my dad is a pensioner is it gonna be okay to buy a non-pensioner ticket with his reference? For clarification, I don't want to fiddle any discount, paying full price is fine. I just don't want to get all the way to Wembley then have my mate turned away for not looking 65.
Question 2: me and our kid are Holte Enders, my dad's ticket is North Stand. Will I be able to arrange so the three of us are sitting together? Assume someone must have had similar issues last season?

The website/TO hasn't built up any goodwill with me and the fact that the website is still promoting the home semi is pretty poor.
I'd like to see them at least getting the basics right.
By now, the front page of the ticketing section of the website should at least have been changed to a holding page saying "playoff final ticket info will appear here when available"

question 1 - I did this for the FA cup final when my dad couldn't make it. To be safe, I bought a full-price ticket - there was a choice to buy either full price or discount.
question 2 - it depends whether you are all eligible to buy at the same time in the same window. If not, you'll need to wait until the least eligible person becomes eligible. In previous years, they haven't done it on areas of the ground like in the 90s, they've done it on how long you've been a season ticket holder. For the playoffs last year, the first window was for season ticket holders of 5 years and more.

Didn't the tickets go on sale at different times depending on stand/section last year, or am I getting it mixed up with a previous Wembley game ?

With regard to sitting together, if all the tickets are purchased at the same time I'd imagine you will be able to get tickets together. If you have different booking histories you might not want wait to purchase all at same time.

Answer: That would not be an issue as you know Wembley turnstiles are not "manned" however you can buy full priceadult at the time of purchase. That's what I did last season for my two junior ST's.
Question 2: me and our kid are Holte Enders, my dad's ticket is North Stand. Will I be able to arrange so the three of us are sitting together? Assume someone must have had similar issues last season? Answer: Yes providing you wait until ticket purchase for both Holte and North ST's become open for sale.

Thanks all. Sounds like it should be fine. Train tickets already bought. Can't wait!

Let the madness begin from 5pm today for season ticket holders!
-
Once the season ticket holders window closed last year how many tickets were left to purchase when the 5 games and above booking window opened can anyone remember?
-
the criteria were different last year, I think it was 7,3, and 1. As far as I can recall all 1s got a ticket, and a few made it to general sale.

Site crashing...

Glad that we've half a chance of staying out of the Sun

Any ideas how to find out who you are linked to so you can be unlinked to buy tickets for other people?

Click on your name to bring up your Account Details
On the left hand side should be a list of people you're linked to in the "Friends and Family" section
There's a "Manage My Relationships" option*
(* NB - this applies to Villa ticketing relationships only. This link will not help resolve any personal relationship problems you may have due to having promised to be available for other things over the Bank Holiday weekend)
-
If only it was that simple - on some of the names there is an error message and no-one knows who they are linked to. Going to be a fun couple of hours.
-
I called the ticket office about this & was told you can add someone as a Friend, but if you don't click the 'allow purchase of tickets' box, it will let you add them.
As the play off final is not a home game, you will apparently still be able to buy a ticket using their reference when you get to the basket. If it won't let you do it with the drop down menu of your friends/family, I was told you can just search using their client reference in the basket.
The ticket office staff were able to tell me all this straight away & with confidence, although I must admit I'm nervous if it'll work!
-
Thanks! Roll on 5pm...
-
Ticket booked in under 10 minutes.
-
I appear to have bought tickets at 5.10 although the website is still saying "Warning! Payment is still being processed!"
There is an entry in booking history and the payment does show up in my credit card account but still there's an element of doubt... so screenshotted everything.
-
All fine to re-allocate tickets once in your basket.
Easy enough once I got through. No confirmation email though yet.
-
Should have logged on at five but that's when I leave work! More than an hour's wait atm. Never mind, will get there. 😊
-
Bought - didn't like my payment card though 4 attempts to get it through
-
I logged on and queued for an hour, getting on at 7 and couldn't get any seats together in the lower tier.
A bit frustrating that it's gone straight to season ticket holders first as a free for all.
-
You're joking?
I've been to 16 home games this season and so has my son, and I've got to join all the others who have a 5 game booking history which I don't think is a fair criteria, and there aren't any seats together left even now?
Had a season ticket from 1974 until 2017, but now just buy as and when because i can't shell out all that money together.
Can't get through to the club obviously...
-
Oh right, can I assume people are being very British about it? Don't buy seats next to ones that are already sold, leave a seat inbetween, cos then you might have somewhere to put your coat?
-
Can you pick two close together? People will probably be happy to move down one space if you're on the same row.?
-
Any season ticket holders who bought on first day of sale stll not received their tickets?
-
Haven't had mine yet.
-
Not had mine either , I booked mine at 5.30pm online on Wednesday as well. :'( >:(
-
Are all the tickets being posted or is there a print at home option?

Posted I think.
-
Pain in the arse that you can't print them, especially give the short turnaround and fact that lots of people will be away at this time of year. I know it's not Villa's fault. A bit shambolic for a national stadium not to be able to match the facilities of Solihull Moors.
-
Real heartache in our friendship group as 4 out of 7 of us Villains from the same village in Derbyshire have 5 home matches including the Play-Off semi, but apparently that doesn't count as a home league game! I do not think this is clear on the website. As a consequence we have 3 tickets so far and will have to grab what we can/if we can at 5 today. Bloody shambolic especially as ticket office seem clueless on what will be available or still might be released!
At least we are not as bad as Derby. Apparently they had staff selling booking history for £35 a shot. We may be shambolic, that is simply wrong!

I thought that the system worked well. I logged on at 6.15, told I was zillionth in the queue and I’d be at front in 1 hour 15 mins, entered my email address, received email after one hour 10 mins with link to site, chose seat, paid, ticket came in post.

Mine and my sons tickets still haven't come, booked on the first day. Anyone else not had the tickets as I am starting to panic. I know I can contact the ticket office on Saturday and probably have to pick up at the ticket office at Wembley, just want them to arrive though.
-
All mine arrived yesterday. Ordered three on the Wednesday when they went on sale and one on the Thursday.
