4 years ago today - semi final against Liverpool. What a day.

Superb!

My wife took my son to the semi as I was too ill to go. I managed to get to the final with the help of a walking stick. The final was on my son's 14th birthday.
-
The roar near the end was spine tingling.

Bitter sweet memories. I was forced to stay at home recovering from an operation, it's the only time we've won at the new Wembley and the only one I've missed.
It didn't stop me from screaming the house down though, a diamond in a sea of shit.

It must have been on BT instead of SKY as I have SKY but not BT and I distinctly remember listening to the commentary 'on the wireless'. It took me back to the European Cup away nights with Butler & Gavin on BRMB.

A brilliant day.
When we thought Benteke was King and Delph was good, Sherwood was some kind of tactical genius.
Wrong on all counts.

Last great day supporting the Villa. Been 3 times to Wembley to watch us and we have won all 3 - glad the Wife experienced us winning their or the first time.
I thought their fans were great that day
