Solid. I see he went for Kodjia over Bolasie in the end down the left replacing Albert.
-
Hutton & Taylor start. Let’s FTF.
-
Fun facts. There's never been a 0-0 between us and QPR in the league. QPR are one of the few clubs to have a winning record over us.
-
No defender on the bench again. Is Bree injured?
-
Win please Villa. Broadly happy with that team, although I’d prefer to have Bree in the squad, is he injured?
-
Worrying Bolasie cannot get himself fit, especially the amount invested in him.
-
4 2 3 1 ?
Pretty much what I thought it would be apart from Koj for Bolasie
-
As good as it gets, at the moment.
-
Probably the best starting line up available given that Albert is injured. I still worry about persisting with Taylor but not many options to change it tonight
-
Not a lot of width there. I can see Kodjia and Abraham cancelling each other out.
-
I'm in the bar of a theatre, which has a sign on the door saying it won't admit people in football colours, and some (Villa) twat has just been trying to get some songs going. It isn't me, btw.
-
Disappointing to see no sign of O'Hare again. Wonder what the kid has to do to even get on the bench
-
Score 4 please, k thanx utv.
-
We will not start winning games until the young players are brought into the side. That team and bench is too full of players that have failed time and time again to deliver.
-
4 2 3 1 ?
Pretty much what I thought it would be apart from Koj for Bolasie
Think it will be the same formation as against Swansea last weekend...which looked like 4141 to me with Barney conducting things. We just need to be more clinical in front of goal so hopefully they'll have been practising finishing this week.
-
Come on me Babbies!!
Is it on AVTV tonight for us expats??
-
Just win!
-

Yes there has. Villa Park 1976.

0-0 I was there
-
0-0 in the League Cup (1977) at Loftus Road.

Aston Villa v QPR head-to-head (https://www.11v11.com/teams/aston-villa/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Queens%20Park%20Rangers/)

We lost 0-2 in the only game at VP in 1976. The only 0-0 between the teams was in 1977 in the LC.

I wasn’t there.

Maybe it was the LC and I misremembered?

Now you've gone and done it. 0-0 it is.
-
Come on you set of ******, lets turn the fkn corner!!
-
Nope sticking to my guns. 0-0 Phil Parkes in goal. The records are wrong.
-
Decent starting eleven and Bolasie is a potential game changer from the bench.
-
come on and win
lose this tonight and the gap will start to get too much but I think we will win
would be good to see some youth on the bench
-
Nope sticking to my guns. 0-0 Phil Parkes in goal. The records are wrong.
It was 2-0.
Four defeats in six matches straddling the New Year saw Rangers slip from top of the table to fifth, but a 2–0 win at Aston Villa in late January set in motion an extraordinary run of 11 wins and a draw that pushed them right back into contention for the League title.
-
Saving the kids for the derby against SHA?

Jan 1976, it was Charlie Aitkens last Villa game.
-
Some Albion away level of queuing to get into this tin pot shit hole.
-
Sky’s pre match build up is very Villa biased.
-
If Elmohamady has to play id much rather it was right back and not right wing. Seems such a waste of an attacking position.
How long does it take for Bolaise to get himself fit? Hes had what 2 or so months now to do it surely he should be ready by now.
-
Did I hear right. We've scored in every league game this season?
-
Did I hear right. We've scored in every league game this season?
Yep. Only game we haven't scored in this season was Burton.
-
still don't like that midfield. looks all wrong to me but not much smith can do about it.
-
Did I hear right. We've scored in every league game this season?
Yep. Only game we haven't scored in this season was Burton.
Shows how bad the defence is that we haven't won more games.
-
This is where we start our assault at the top.
The line must be drawn here!
No further! Win Villa ffs!
-
Come on you Lions
-
Chester leads the team out again - what happened to Deano's captain rotation palaver?
-
Get into 'em!
-
Get into 'em!
Absolutely
-
Cmon you Villa, let's smash these posh cockney bastards!!!
-
Good by JM until the shot. Should have bent it
-
Good work by McGinn. Pity about the final shot
-
We're still short of a little more blue and white, until that changes I will continue to worry.
-
What a waste
-
I think you can safely say we need a new left back
-
'Sloppy by Taylor' an understatement
-
And a new right back
-
Any chance of a coaching session on the importance of passing to a teammate. No, I thought not.
-
Its very advisable we give Taylor the ball as little as humanly possible
-
And a new CB,
-
We've got one. But he's out on loan at Vale Park.
-
Good possession always ends in a mistake or misplaced pass/crap cross. Final ball is always shocking.
-
Knocking it about well. Not a bad shot by Grealish
-
We need elmo at right back and a decent midfielder bought to allow it
-
Close by Jack. Nice build up
-
We are gonna score in a minute.
-
Good play there.
-
Jack much better already tonight. And SJM.... WHAT a player!
-
I retract my previous comment.
-
We need players who know how to play the ball into the box. Our final ball is awful.
-
Pretty obvious we are miles better than they are and yet they are above us 😧
-
Wasteful again
-
Cracking ball by Cafu to SJM
-
Fuck sake Bjarnason.
-
Great ball by Hutton.
-
fuck Kodjia should have done better
-
Cracking ball by Cafu to SJM
Who is SJM?
-
Cracking ball by Cafu to SJM
Who is SJM?
Super John McGinn
-
Kodjia should have scored there. Great ball in
-
McGinn is a cracking little player.
-
We lack so much confidence in the final third. It’s like Bruce extracted creativity and movement from our brains.
-
70% possession but no shots on target and somehow they have had 3?!?
-
Hit it Tammy!!
-
Grealish is well up for this.
-
It’s so encouraging right up until the final pass
-
How can the fucking thug moan about that?
-
What a prick.
-
70% possession but no shots on target and somehow they have had 3?!?
yep. probably more possession we've had away than in Bruce's entire tenure.
-
Dirty bastard
-
Jack off the post
-
A nasty challenge and the wanker has a go at Jack. Twat.
-
Fuck me. Unlucky Jack.
-
And we thought our'keeper was shit!
-
All over them but no cutting edge
-
Much better showing from Jack tonight. Keep it up lad 💪🏼
-
Yet another dirty bastard team.
-
Our right hand side is very slow
-
We are having no run of the ball whatsoever.
-
Our right hand side is very slow
Mainly 'cos neither Hutton nor Elmo can actually beat their man on the outside.
-
Hutton is piss poor tonight.
-
Hutton is piss poor tonight.m
What do you mean, 'tonight'?
-
Good pressing
-
We certainly look a lot better for the three changes.
-
😀
-
Yet another dirty bastard team.
And another passive ref
-
lynch you wanker
-
We are having no run of the ball whatsoever.
Yes I agree but it will come
-
Ffs.
-
Hutton is piss poor tonight.m
What do you mean, 'tonight'?
😀
-
Steve McClaren really is a grade 1 twat
-
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!we are shit
Fuck me what a Captain at the back
-
criminal if we dont win this
-
Bollocks. Chester caught ball watching
-
FFS.
Easily on top right through the match, 70 percent possession, losing.
-
*sigh*
-
That was fucking Taylor’s fault 109% get ducking rid now!!!
-
WTF. Fuck. Shit. ******.
-
How bad is our defending
-
There you go: players watching the ball and allowing a simple punt down the middle to beat them; shite.
-
Fuck me. That is some absolutely shite defending across the board.
-
Just shoot the defence and bring in the kids
-
Ah, Whelan. Such joy.
-
Nyland is so hesitant
-
And now Bjarnasson going off injured. Here comes Whelan
-
Fukin whelan
-
Villa in lack of centre backs costs more points shocker. Attack the fucking ball.
-
We will lose this by more than 1 at this rate.
-
Pity, he was playing well...now Whelan, ooer
-
Sighs heavily. More of the same defensively. Terry to make a comeback?
-
Good to see Whelan on, we needed some pace in midfield.
-
Nyland is so hesitant
How on earth was he to blame for that? He was let down by the captain of the team falling asleep.
-
Yeah, there's no way Nyland is in any way responsible for us being behind.
-
This QPR side really is a shithouse of a side: dirty, cynical and led by an arsehole manager.
We really need to dispatch them, and convincingly.
-
Nyland is so hesitant
How on earth was he to blame for that? He was let down by the captain of the team falling asleep.
Yep. Not on Nyland at allll
-
Nyland is so hesitant
How on earth was he to blame for that? He was let down by the captain of the team falling asleep.
Can't blame the GK for that.
-
Can we have the old James Chester back cos this one is fucking crap.
-
Criminal that we're losing this, thought we were doing pretty well.
But that defending was pathetic. If this is our good half, which I suspect it might be, then we've lost this already.
-
As Del Boy would say: Dejaaar voo Rodney!
-
Probably the biggest fuck up ive seen from Chester.
That forced sub then fucks us up further.
-
Nyland is so hesitant
How on earth was he to blame for that? He was let down by the captain of the team falling asleep.
I was referring to a defender having to panic clear as Nyland wouldn't pick the ball up. Nothing to do with the goal
-
What are our forwards doing?
-
We’re not very good.
-
Afraid that was down to Chester
-
God roll on january so smith can do something with this squad. 70% possession and we're 1-0 down because we can't defend.
-
Yeah, there's no way Nyland is in any way responsible for us being behind.
No, it was the central defence leaving a gap big enough to march a whole regiment through ((c) Platoon)
-
I could fucking weep watching this.
-
Watching how nutless we are up front and how pathetic we are at the back it resigns me to accepting another year in this division.
-
What are our forwards doing?
Not a lot but we lack speed and movement.
-
Why are the booing Elmo?
-
The run of the ball is an absolute ******.
-
Jeez, loads of individual errors and lack of continuity following the goal.
-
It is at the same time amazing and totally predictable that we are losing this game.
-
How the fuck are we losing this
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
-
How the fuck are we losing this
We can't defend or take our chances (again).
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
It's early days.
-
We have not opened them up at all and look poor at the back. Mr Smith has a big job on his hands
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
I've nothing against Smith yet. But on that logic it's very hard to disagree with you.
They're all shite though, really, aren't they.
-
Well Dean now we will see what you are made of
-
We’ve gone from looking composed and well on top to being a fucking mess just by conceding a goal. We are just so mentally fragile.
-
His substitutions in the 3 games in charge have been awful
-
Afraid that was down to Chester
I don't agree - the guy who scored was their right winger and was therefore behind Chester so he couldn't see him.
On the other hand Neil Taylor was stood next to him when the ball was played and chose to stand still watching the ball rather than track his man.
100% Taylor's fault that goal.
-
Been much the better side. Then up set James fucking Chester. Again.
-
Despite our abundance of attacking riches (apparently) we havent created single clear cut chance.
We are far,far too ponderous and deliberate around the box which means we are constantly trying to play through their whole team.
We have got to draw their back line further out and then be quicker.
-
Well Dean now we will see what you are made of
It will take a lot more than two weeks to fix this shit
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
I've nothing against Smith yet. But on that logic it's very hard to disagree with you.
They're all shite though, really, aren't they.
Ss if they're all shite, it's not hard to disagree with him at all, surely?
-
If it wasn't for the dodgy keeper, car crash defence, ineffective midfield and wasteful strikers, we'd be a really good side.
-
It's all bollocks. So, so tired of the same story.
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
It's early days.
I didn't think Whelan was dreadful the other night and he's probably more mobile the Jedi. Can't recall Whelan giving the ball away at Norwich unlike some of the team tonight.
-

They're all shite though, really, aren't they.
It's Hobson's choice, which is why he might as well pick a couple of kids and give them some opportunities.
-
We’re so wasteful, Hutton and Taylor kill us. Chester is bloody hopeless at the moment too.
-
What are our forwards doing?
Not a lot but we lack speed and movement.
Thanks ChicagoLion
Moves to be added next week, hopefully
-
If it was for the dodgy keeper, car crash defence, ineffective midfield and wasteful strikers, we'd be a really good side.
The defence look scared of the keeper, the keeper looks scared of the defence, the midfield look scared to play a through ball to the strikers, and the strikers seem scared to shoot, other than Kodjia, who is scared to give the ball to a team mate rather than try to beat 6 men himself.
-
Hope Thor isn’t badly injured he’s key.
-
We’re so wasteful, Hutton and Taylor kill us. Chester is bloody hopeless at the moment too.
James Chester is at best a number two defender. He’s not good enough to be the key figure in the defence and sure as shit isn’t captain material.
-
Well Dean now we will see what you are made of
It will take a lot more than two weeks to fix this shit
I know and I’m sure when he gets a chance to coach it will be fine. But right now he needs to lay down the law
-
The likes of QPR and the Blues are winning games by grafting. We have 70% of the half. Their keeper has not saved a shot. They had 4 one was a goal.
-
Some on here are a little melodramatic. We are playing well and then one horrendous error. As for why whelan and not Jedi the simple fact is he can’t pass more than five yards to his own player. All to play for and we will score.
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
I've nothing against Smith yet. But on that logic it's very hard to disagree with you.
They're all shite though, really, aren't they.
Because he wants energetic midfielders and you have to say that Mile is not one of those. As for Lansbury, it's been so long since he played I have no idea what he is.
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
Because whelan and jedinak are both over the hill so it doesn't really matter who you pick and lansbury can't do thejob? I'm not surprised he's gone for Bjarnason but i'm not sure he's the answer long term
-
Right we need to fucking respond now. Let’s see some fucking purpose. Come back and win the game.
-
Afraid that was down to Chester

The ball was played straight down the middle, agree If Taylor was supposed to be marking him, i can only guess they left it to each other.
Fucking appalling defending.
-

Get a grip you bedwetter he's been in the job a week
-
Taylor, Hutton El Hamedy awful have to get rid of all three. I thought Taylor was at fault for the goal should have been round on the cover.
Abrahams is 6ft 4" of wind and pips...he has to learn to punch his weight. He is too easy to play against.
-
You kicked a ball at me, I'm offended, upset and angry...reminds you of the internet.
-
Kodjia is useless out on the left and it's plainly obvious he is sulking that he is not the focal point in the side. Pre-game, Tammy was asked what he thought was his best position, to which he replied ''out on the left'' so why don't they alternate positions?
Taylor is also worse than crap. Put Hutton to left back, Elmo to right back and Bolaise out on the right wing.
We can still win this.
-
The likes of QPR and the Blues are winning games by grafting. We have 70% of the half. Their keeper has not saved a shot. They had 4 one was a goal.
Their keeper has made 2-3 saves and we hit the post. We're not exactly totally neutered but we're not creating enough clear-cut chances.
-
That was mainly Chester at fault, Taylor was too slow of thought to cover the fuck up though.
-
Despite our abundance of attacking riches (apparently) we havent created single clear cut chance.
We are far,far too ponderous and deliberate around the box which means we are constantly trying to play through their whole team.
We have got to draw their back line further out and then be quicker.
It's because we don't have any plans or patterns that the players are familiar with, to create chances. Every time we get the ball in the attacking third, the player in possession has to wait and see if someone will make a run, create space for him etc. Other teams have plans, they know when the ball gets to a certain place, player X will move here, player Y will move there and so on, and they can play the ball much faster. This alone is where hopefully Smith can improve us, as Brentford were a team that seemed to know what they were doing and had plans to create chances (fingers crossed that wasn't all down to their analytics software). Also, even if we had plans we also have a couple of loose cannons in Grealish and Kodjia, which is fine, but you need other players who can anticipate the unexpected so to speak and most of our players lack football brains - McGinn excepted.
-
Tuanzebe puts yet another easy pass out of play. His distribution is absolutely diabolical.
-
Hard to tell if that was Taylor not telling Chester to pick up the runner, or Chester just being shit again. Either way we are giving the ball away too cheaply and many times in situations where we are not under any pressure. McGinn strangely seems to be struggling too. Don't see a problem with bringing Whelan on for BB. We need to move the ball and the players much more quickly to break through - it's not as if QPR have a world-beating defense.
-
Honestly thought that we played well at times in that half, but some of the passing has been genuinely horrendous and the goal we conceded was really poor.
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case

Ss if they're all shite, it's not hard to disagree with him at all, surely?
You may be right but I'm four whiskeys deep and I've had it up to my shite with the same old abysmal form.
-
it's time to face reality - we are dreadful. Come January 1st we'll be in a relegation scrap . This gig would reduce Pep to a quivering wreck with this shower of shite.
-
They should have had a penalty Taylor caught out again. The Lad up front doesn't do enough for me, but we should not be behind with all the possession we've had.
-
Response please Villa, score some fucking goals.
-
Agree Taylor and Huttion offer nothing offensively and Elmo’s lack of pace or guile further exacerbates our lack of cutting edge.
The amount of times we get to the final 3rd and then stop and play it sideways or back because we are too slow to be incisive.
-
Afraid that was down to Chester
I don't agree - the guy who scored was their right winger and was therefore behind Chester so he couldn't see him.
On the other hand Neil Taylor was stood next to him when the ball was played and chose to stand still watching the ball rather than track his man.
100% Taylor's fault that goal.
Chester was more at fault. No pressure on the ball so should have dropped off and given himself a yard or two. Little or no communication between the pair of them but Chester was in no man's land.
Grealish and McGinn were outstanding up to then. Lot of decent performances around the pitch, Abraham aside who has been hopeless. Bolasie for Abraham at half time and put Kodjia down the middle. Been an enjoyable game so far. Lot better shape about us but could see a few struggle with the pace of it later on.
Geoff Cameron would have been a solid loan signing for us...
-
I know its early days but i am starting to have some doubts about our new manager. Why Whelan again, why not Jedinak or Lansbury ? Whelan was dreadful the other night as usually is the case
Get a grip you bedwetter he's been in the job a week
Smith out cos all successful sides change their manager at least once a fortnight.
-
We don’t have one player with any real pace who can beat a man, or men and create something. Think Tony Morley
-
From the BBC:
Villa's defending really wasn't great, for QPR's goal.
Think Miroslav Klose's opener against England at the 2010 World Cup...
A long, bouncing ball straight in between the two centre-backs. Sunday league stuff?
-
Time to consign this 'best squad in the league' shit in the bin
-
Don’t worry, Hogan will be on soon
-
They should have had a penalty Taylor caught out again.
Nah, 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other. Both were pulling each other.
-
I can't say I see a lot in Abraham. I thought on Saturday he didn't put a shift in and we won that.
-
We're not very good, are we?
-
This fucking music.
-
Okay Villa, given this lot enough time, enough chances, lets dispose of them in an orderly fashion, 2-1 Villa to win.
-
Time to consign this 'best squad in the league' shit in the bin
Agreed, it does not serve us well to maintain that myth.
-
Afraid that was down to Chester
I don't agree - the guy who scored was their right winger and was therefore behind Chester so he couldn't see him.

The ball was played straight down the middle, agree If Taylor was supposed to be marking him, i can only guess they left it to each other.
Fucking appalling defending.
Taylor stands still and points at the goalscorer as if to say "someone else's problem". There are two issues with this:
1 - he had no one else to mark, so why's he giving his man up;
2 - a 10 year old defender knows to worry about the danger man first, and then worry about the winger after. Given that guy was the winger and was clearly going in on goal Taylor should have tracked him.
I don't doubt Chester could've been deeper but he hasn't got eyes in the back of his head. That was Taylor's man and Taylor's fault.
-
We've got a right back and a striker playing in midfield. I think thats the problem tonight really. unfortunately i'm struggling to see how smith could have put out a different team with the personell available to him. I don't really buy into blaming the last manager for everything, but there's no doubt this summer Bruce totally lost the plot
-
We're not very good, are we?
Some pretty average at best players out there.
-
Agree Taylor and Huttion offer nothing offensively and Elmo’s lack of pace or guile further exacerbates our lack of cutting edge.
The amount of times we get to the final 3rd and then stop and play it sideways or back because we are too slow to be incisive.
Elmo made our best chance of the half though...
Not a fan of Hutton and Elmo on right side but don't think either of them is having a bad game. Hutton put McGinn away with a cracking ball at one point.
-
We're not very good, are we?
No
-
Buckle in, here's the next 45 minutes of pain coming right up...
-
Not enough white, not enough blue, when will they fkn realise.
-
I'd bin all of them and play the U23's. Why not? We keep doing the same thing and its not working.
-
Apart from goalkeepers and defence we have the best squad but need to use it. The defence stops us progressing.
-
We are destined not to score.
-
Apart from goalkeepers and defence we have the best squad but need to use it. The defence stops us progressing.
We barely create great chances, we rarely shoot and have stopped scoring goals.
-
I'd bin all of them and play the U23's. Why not? We keep doing the same thing and its not working.
I mean, you wouldn't throw all of them in. But O'Hare should absolutely be in the mix. Clark should be recalled and thrown in there. No reason not to at this point.
-
The goals we're conceding this season are so cheap. Teams aren't even working that hard to score against us.
Would help if we had a functioning attack but we don't so always going to be a struggle to win particularly away from home where the opposition attack more than they do when we come to VP.
Got a depressing feeling of 1-0 defeat now. Hopefully we can battle to a point and then beat Bolton and things look a bit better.
-
Bloody hit the target, please!
-
Abraham should have absolutely buried that.
-
It's going to be one of those
nights weeks months seasons.
-
So our fullbacks ever stop a cross?
-
hah what a miss!
-
I don’t think Abraham’s is a natural finisher.
-
It's going to be one of those nights weeks months seasons centuries.

I dont think Abrahams is a natural finisher.
No, that'll be Hogan ...
-
Chester, Taylor and Nyland all could and should have done better for their goal. Nyland was like a rabbit stuck in the headlights and didn't know whether to stick or twist so did something in between. We could also be down to ten men.
-
So our fullbacks ever stop a cross?
No.
-
Our defence is definitely creaking badly.
-
We don’t have one player with any real pace who can beat a man, or men and create something. Think Tony Morley
Tony Morley played for a team that competed in and conquered Europe. That is light years away from a team in the bottom half of the 2nd Division.
-
No surprise form team beating a team with no form and no shape
-
Our defence is definitely creaking badly.
Like the Marie Rose back there
-
I don’t think Abraham’s is a natural finisher.
Even though he scored loads before in this league, as did Kodja, as did Hogan, as did McCormack....
-
Jesus fucking christ Elmo
-
Our moment is coming.
Hopefully, if the team talk worked.
-
Ffs Elmo.
Get Bolasie on, please.
-
We're being out-battled again
-
Stick elmo back in the defence and you improve it 25%. thing is who do you stick where he's playing?
-
So close to a perfect cross by Elmo...
-
That was truly awful by Elmo
-
That’s fucking embarrassing Elmo.
-
Seriously WTF was that Elmo?
"one of the best crossers in the Championship" my arse..
-
Why the fuck are Ahmed and Kodjia on the pitch instead of Bolasie? Beggars belief.
-
Kodjia has been dangerous. Elmo... not so much.
-
This scoreline is the biggest travesty since OJ got off.
-
Have to score in this spell.
-
A bit of pressure … and Grealish is looking a lot better this evening.
-
This is better.
-
Taking a foul throw when we have the momentum is a joke and sums up this season really.
-
Pretty sure they teach how to not take a foul throw to 8 years old. Why are professional footballers still doing it?!
-
Abraham having an off night. I have a bad feeling we may see Hogan soon.
-
Abraham having an off night. I have a bad feeling we may see Hogan soon.
Let's hope he scores then
-
McGinn, a Scottish player most of us hadn't heard of this time last year, is making the rest of our expensive and experienced lot look like Sunday league players. It will never cease to infuriate me how these people end up earning fortunes at the expense of our club. Thank God for John and Jack having a bit of actual footballing ability - they might manage to keep us up this season.
-
Don’t see us scoring here.
-
Don’t see us scoring here.
No video feed?
-
This is as one sided a loss as we'll ever see.
-
We look so fucking blunt.
-
30 minutes to get 2 goals.
-
Happy with that change
-
Bolasie coming on for Elmo
-
Bolasie for Elmo.
-
Bolasie for Elmo.
-
Anyone know what the sub was...
-
Fkn useless, get Bolasie on and go for it. We are a shower of shit AGAIN.
-
Bolassie for Elmo
-
I would have taken Hutton off instead of Elmo.
-
Bolassie for Elmo
Good one to bring on if someone is stuck down a well.
-
Anyone know what the sub was...
Bolasie for Elmo😉
-
Don’t see us scoring here.
This is the lot that conceded 7 to small heath?
-
Tuanzebe seems to have the softest head in football, I think it may be made of sponge.
-
If the game stays like this then you have to say Villa have been Bruced. Now i know how other clubs felt when we won without touching the ball
-
Our corner deliveries are generally fucking abysmal.
-
Bastard Lev Yashin in goal again.
-
Yannick playing like he wants to.
-
Jeezus!!
-
Is that Nakhi "Fucking" Wells that's come on?
-
It feels like we will never score
-
Bolasie trying. Grealish take note, when you run at players on the edge of the box, might be worth trying to shoot every now and then! We can fucking do this but we need to show some teeth.
-
I feel like we've been taking corners for about fifty minutes.
-
Don’t see us scoring here.
This is the lot that conceded 7 to small heath?
Big improvement since then, 3 wins and a draw last 4 games.
-
Abraham is not really very good when he has to do more than tap / head it in.
-
One of our better second halfs.
-
It feels like we will never score
Yup. One of those nights to add to the other hundred we've had since relegation. Losing this game would be criminal. I know QPR are in good form but they're a very average team.
-
Not happening. We could do with the week off so Smith can see everything he's got to play with.
-
So frustrating this is.
-
Taylor and Whelan show their frailties there.
-
So frustrating this is.
Yoda you are.
-
Anyone know what the sub was...
A sandwich in the US of A which was a large baguette filled with meat, salad (they call them vegetables), cheese and dressing.
Mr. Goodcents offered exceptional value in Wichita, Kansas in the mid 90s.
-
It feels like we will never score
Yup. One of those nights to add to the other hundred we've had since relegation. Losing this game would be criminal. I know QPR are in good form but they're a very average team.
And I think that's being kind, SHQ. On the basis of this game, they are utter muck, but we are just totally toothless.
-
It’s just unbelievable at the moment. How on earth are we losing. And guess what we will lose 2-0 you can see it coming
-
It feels like we will never score
Yup. One of those nights to add to the other hundred we've had since relegation. Losing this game would be criminal. I know QPR are in good form but they're a very average team.
I dream of one day becoming an average team again.
-
Sitting here on the other side of the world reading this. Can anyone give me a glimmer of hope?
-
Sitting here on the other side of the world reading this. Can anyone give me a glimmer of hope?
You'll have Saturday free.
-
The difference is our defence fooked up and theirs hasn't.
-
Don’t see us scoring here.
This is the lot that conceded 7 to small heath?
Big improvement since then, 3 wins and a draw last 4 games.
They drew 0-0 with SHA in August. Good form since but can't see them being anywhere near top 6 though. Sad thing is neither will we. This season feels like 16/17 again.
-
What a horrible side QPR are.
-
Sitting here on the other side of the world reading this. Can anyone give me a glimmer of hope?
You're not sitting in the stadium.
-
Wtf was that throw from Nyland?
-
QPR looking really ragged now... if we get one soon they might fall apart and give us all the points.
-
We have been the better team all game...
-
At least we don't have Bruce.
-
Sitting here on the other side of the world reading this. Can anyone give me a glimmer of hope?
No.
-
We really are all fart and no shit.
-
It feels like we will never score

That's the thing though, by the standards of this division, they're not. It's just that we're absolutely dominating them, despite not scoring.
This just reinforces my view that if we can click quickly we've got everything needed to tonk this division. Like Fulham found last year though, if you leave it too long it's impossible to catch the top 2.
-
Sitting here on the other side of the world reading this. Can anyone give me a glimmer of hope?
erm........well we have the ball a lot. they're just figuring out what to do with it. its a new concept for us
-
Tuning out of legs now, Abraham has to score and a different game.
-
We really are all fart and no shit.
A wet one that slips out hardly noticeable.
-
QPR looking really ragged now... if we get one soon they might fall apart and give us all the points.
Dream on.
-
QPR looking really ragged now... if we get one soon they might fall apart and give us all the points.
Yeah, and we look knackered and disjointed.
-
Grealish so deep he's more or less playing sweeper. It's like a different player from that play-off final.
-
Other than the goal we’ve looked comfortable. We’ve looked way better going forward and have moved the ball better than we have in ages. Wr’ve Just not had a break yet.
-
McClaren persevering with that absurd hair island.
-
Chester has been fucking atrocious.
-
Wish I'd put some money on QPR to hold onto the 1-0 at half time, think odds were around 6/1.
I've seen this script so many times before.
-
Great ball in by Bolasie.
-
Come on Villa.
Put it in the onion bag.
-
Weekend potentially ruined on a Friday night rather than a Saturday afternoon - thank you SKY and Aston Villa - I wish I didn't care so much :(
-
Whelan is awful.
-
Come on Villa, get your boots on!
-
The difference is our defence messed up and theirs hasn't.
-
Did we really swap Ayew for Taylor
-
Have to say, Whelan has been shite since he came on: giving the ball away, ponderous and too many fouls conceded.
He adds nothing.
-

Dinosaur.
-
Did we really swap Ayew for Taylor
Plus about £5m.
-
10 minutes. Come on Villa.
-
Abraham has been pretty shit up front
-
How often does Bolasie fall over ?? He has a bizarre habit of falling backwards as he receives the ball!
-
Have to say, Whelan has been shite since he came on: giving the ball away, ponderous and too many fouls conceded.
He adds nothing.
A bit like the rest of the fuckers then.
-
Did we really swap Ayew for Taylor
Ayew was just as shit
-
How often does Bolasie fall over ?? He has a bizarre habit of falling backwards as he receives the ball!
Great ball in, though!
-
Just got in, we've looked ok but I can't see us scoring
-
Whelan is awful.
He was on the way out when we bought him. I don't think Bruce was planning on him playing a part in this seasons premiership survival battle. Best laid plans and all that...
-
They'll get a player sent off just when it's too late to make any fucking difference.
And that was pish, Yanick.
-
Yannick Bolasie: for those moments when you really couldn't give a shit how the game ends.
-
Weekend potentially ruined on a Friday night rather than a Saturday afternoon - thank you SKY and Aston Villa - I wish I didn't care so much :(
Same time same place next week? (wink)
-
Bolasie is a show pony o
-
You can already see the Smith influence though, the lack of hoof all has been noticeable. Jesus our crossing has been poor though. These are the games that promotion candidates win though.
-

Great ball in, though!
Followed by a truly awful one!!
-
Just 3 words
Neil fucking taylor ?
-
Pass the fucking ball faster.
-
Deano’s got his work cut out
-
Did we really swap Ayew for Taylor
Ayew was just as shit
And as you will have just seen Taylor is shitter
-
Have to say, Whelan has been shite since he came on: giving the ball away, ponderous and too many fouls conceded.
He adds nothing.
His only role is if we're winning with five minutes left and he can come on and close things out. I thought he was an underrated player at Stoke but looks like we just signed him past his best.
I suppose a positive at least is him and Jedinak are out of contract end of season so Dean will have some scope to remould the midfield into the passing and mobile style he wants to play.
-

yep we're sort of half bruce half smith. got the possession bit right, can't score for toffee.
-
They wanted it more, full stop.
-

The new H&V house band?
-
I don’t think that’s fair.
We just aren’t direct enough from 30 yards out
-

He adds nothing.

True, but I think that we'd benefit from trying something different if BB is not available, perhaps involving Doyle-Hayes or one of the other kids.
-
Another year in the Chumps it is then.
-
Another god awful second half.
-
Last year we beat shit teams and couldn't get decent results against promotion candidates. This year, we're not getting any decent results.
-
Shite
-
I haven't seen any sign of a side wanting it more than the other, we just haven't been able to break them down, yet.
-
Grealish doesn't deserve to be on the losing side.
-
Where are rolling up your sleeves and that little bit of magic when you need it?
-
Another year in the Chumps it is then.
Just the one ?
-
I've been thinking that refs should have the power to book or send off players based on the singling out of opposition players, ie the repeated fouling of Grealish.
Back on topic, the result has been nailed on for ages. We've no cutting edge.
-
Fucking SHOOT you cunting twatting ******.
-
Kodjia is so fucking brainless in his greed.
-
What a fucking job Deano has inherited. I almost want to use this season just to give him every chance to succeed implementing his system bringing in his with his own players across two/three windows.
-
Bolasie then ran like his foot had fallen asleep.
-
Only four minutes? There have been about seventy corners!
-
I think Dean is going to have to have a clear out
-
Jack has been good for once
-
Last year we beat shit teams and couldn't get decent results against promotion candidates. This year, we're not getting any decent results.
Bit harsh. We did best Wolves Cardiff Fulham Leeds to name a few.
-
I think Dean is going to have to have a clear out
Yes, but we have another 2 months of this yet!
-
Jeez Taylors awareness is shit
-
I think Dean is going to have to have a clear out
I have said before, that we need an enema of fucking biblical proportions to sort the club out!
-
I wish we could shoot.
-
Another year in the Chumps it is then.
At least another one. We’re more miles off going up at the moment.
-
I haven't seen any sign of a side wanting it more than the other, we just haven't been able to break them down, yet.
Apart from all those ****** that are meant to score.
-
I think Dean is going to have to have a clear out
He must be able to glean a bit more out of players we have, he must, yes players in to improve and improving side, his side, his way, but he must get more.
-
That would have been the equaliser if Legion hadn't jinxed it by already starting a post-match tread.
-
Abraham is not, in fact, very good... Is he?
-
That would have been the equaliser if Legion hadn't jinxed it by already starting a post-match tread.
Boooo
-
Celebrating like they just won the fucking Cup.
-
I know we’ve lost but that was a pretty good performance, if we keep playing like that results will come. One lapse of concentration cost us.
-
I know we’ve lost but that was a pretty good performance, if we keep playing like that results will come. One lapse of concentration cost us.
That’s what I’m clinging to. That promise of better things to come.
Go, Deano!
