1-1 Hopefully.
-
Good record down there. Albion mate said they were desperate but they've picked up a bit since.
McGinn and Thor providing legs and drive will improve us.
Looks like Tammy is fit but Albert is not. Bolasie to have his first start.
I'd like to see Bree get a game at right back too.
-
A Villa win, and a good Friday afternoon in Shepard's Bush
-
1-1 Hopefully.
Er, 8-0 to us hopefully.
-
Fascinating prospect to see how the team respond to Tuesday's setback. The return of SJM will help and I'm going to stick my neck out for a win.
1-0

Hutton should be dropped anyway
-
Dutch Steve has got OPR up and running in recent weeks. We are very average. Defeat.
-
Hang on, shouldn't this be QPR v Aston Villa?
I think we're looking at the same result as Tuesday unfortunately. We've just not had enough time to get the plan in the players' heads.
-
Shepherd’s Bush road get well oiled before what I expect a hard 90 mins with a low in confidence villa looking for 3 points. Yes we can do this
-
Rangers are one of the form sides in the league at the moment after a poo start, 1-1.
-
Win. 2-1 to Villa. We will be better going forward. Move Hutton to left back. Bolasie and Tammy up as the front three with Kodjia. We can’t defend to let’s go all Kevin Keegan and attack.
-
QPR beat Sheffield Wed 3-0 last Tuesday so we'll do well to avoid defeat. Defence worries me greatly so 2-1 defeat, unfortunately.
-
I refuse to comment on this thread until the teams are ordered correctly. Oh bugger, I just have.
-
I've arranged work meetings in London on Friday so that I can go to the game afterwards. Like many on here, more in hope than expectation. Another very early start and late drive home. Just for once, please Villa make the journey home an enjoyable one!
-
Going to this with my Dad and two brothers. Sat in amongst the homers just above the dug-out, JT might have to put up with some industrial vernacular aimed his way.
Only two of us are villainous, here's hoping we can rob the Queens.
-
1-1 Draw for me.
-
1-1 Hopefully.
Er, 8-0 to us hopefully.
Well yeah. I meant I'd take a draw after Tuesday.
-

Sorted, just for you
-
3-2 to us
-
1-1
-
3-0 to us
-
QPR started terribly but are now on a decent run of form. I did however have them down as one of the three to go down in my pre season predictions and they haven't done enough to change my mind just yet. 2-1 to Villa is my prediction.

Oh thanks.

Bolaise to cause malaise for QPR.
-
No way we can play shite two games on the trot under Smith. 2-0 win.
-
Schteve has got these playing well at the minute so I'd be happy with a draw - 1-1 - then Deano's got a full week for the first time to train the squad and get his methods into practice ready for Bolton
-

Enthusiastic agreement with this expert assessment of the likely result. :)
-
Bolaise to cause malaise for QPR.
Bolaise sounds like a very expensive sauce.
-
0-4.
-
I'll be there so it'll be either a 2-1 loss, if I stay till the end; or, as happened last year, a 2-1 win if I fuck off as soon as we go one down.
-
Fair play to McBrolly, he's proved a lot of people wrong, including myself who thought he'd be gone before the end of October (yes, technically he still could). Will be difficult, they're deffo better than us at the minute. High scoring loss 3-2/4-3 to them.
-
I reckon we'll win 1-0 , just like we did in 91'?
-
Seems Deano is not going to get any of this honeymoon period that so often is the case, that said, he knows what he's got and what he's up against after the other night, I'm going for a fine bounce back victory, 1-3 Villa, I wouldn't grumble if we could get a draw out of this, another performance and a loss to mirror the last game and eyebrows will be shockingly raised and heaps on loads more pressure.
-
1-1 after taking the lead.
-
sorry, don't fancy this at all. Gonna be a bumpy ride till christmas 2-1
-
Got tickets today from a good fellow on this site. Hope we win but if we don't have total faith in Dean and his team, stick together now and eventually we will get there.

QPR to win 1 0 Improved from us just unlucky
-
If we can be close to top six at Christmas we have a chance.
-
I hope it's not the eze show the former arsenal graduate was quite star at Villa Park and putting in some eye catching performance . It's what Grealish should be doing effectively and if that's another player over shadowing Grealish making it look easy creating big chances, assisting , scoring then will be frustrating to watch some opposition do what Grealish should do.
But then again we also have Bolasie who can add a whole other dimension
They signed Hamed who's very decent at this level and nakhi Wells who is also decent for scoring goals
Along with Eze and Freeman who I rate I don't see Villa nlt conceding
However the villa score every game and thinking an outscore of 2-4 could be on the cards .
We have bolasie to steal the show.
McGinn to run the middle
Oh and please give Hutts and Elmo a rest .
Hutton 14 matches and Elmo 13 .
Smith to have a look at others and we have squad to 'rest' these two!
-
We're in that awkward phase of a new manager with new ideas and players who don't fit the bill and haven't had long enough to really take on the new thinking, or in some cases simply aren't able to. QPR are ahead of us in that respect. If we lose, we need to remain patient. We will get there.
-

Many thanks 👍🏿

With the manager still finding his settling in I think with this sort of match its about doing a professional job and just grinding out a win rather than worrying about how we play. Our away form does need to improve. But I think this is a very winnable game, and I will go for a scrappy 1-0 which I would take. Tammy to get another goal.
-
Right come on Jack this is the time to start making your performances meaningful. We could do with a win here.
-
Already parked up at Westfields. Meetings, drop my bags later at the car and then to the game.
-
Dorset, you're a saint for the Villa cause. You should be putting in your expense claim to the club backdated for all the years of travel, at the current rate of £0.45 per mile you should get enough reimbursement to buy an apartment in the Mailbox to have a more relaxing match-weekend experience going forward.
I'd suggest Ads name be put forward too for the AVFC Benevolence Fund, but he's a young, smart-ass hot-shot lawyer, so will have to wait his turn.

At some point Westfield must surely recognise that they're losing out on a fortune by charging such cheap rates for parking compared to most other places in the area.
I sometimes leave my car there for three days for the price of just a few hours in other car parks nearby

Jedi ( cant be any worth than Nyland )
Elmo Tuanzabee Chester Hutton
McGinn Bjarnason
Bolaise Grealish Kodja
Abraham
Id like to see Bree coming in at RB , can not see it thou unless he plays elmo right wing/mid
-

Not sure we will see both wide players changing to be honest. I would assume that McGinn and Bjarnason will start, but I think the only other change will be Bolasie for Adomah.

Yep. I don't think he'll go this attacking. I expect Taylor will keep his place and Elmo will stay at Wing. Would be interested to see Bree have a run, but suspect he will stick with Hutton to try to keep it tight.
-
Taylor is better than Hutton at left back.
-
Taylor is better than Hutton at left back.
That is a moot point. To date he has been awful. I agree that potentially he could be better, but so far he is one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Villa shirt. If I was choosing a team for a one off game (as opposed to considering the wider picture of trying to play Taylor into form) I'd have Hutton over Taylor without a doubt.
-
Taylor v Hutton.
Taylor is better defensively but useless with the ball.
Hutton is a liability even though he shows for the ball and makes the odd foray.
We should play Taylor but the left winger needs to be showing for the ball not like Khazi who ran away like a schoolgirl being bothered by a tramp.
-
Same team as Tuesday except SJM BB and YB for Hourihane Whelan and Uncle
Subs Bunn Bree Whelan or Jedi Hourihane Hogan Kodj O'Hare
-
As UK Redsox has said, parking at Westfields is great value and perfect for QPR. If you register its £6 for the whole day.

Agree about Bree, Chris. Would like to see some faith shown in him and him be given a decent run in the side.

100% agree, but at the expense of Hutton not Taylor IMHO

Nyland
Bree Tuanzabee Chester Taylor
McGinn Bjarnason
Elmo Grealish Bolasie
Abraham
I'd be happy with that Balti.
-
I actually think we'll win tonight, I have no idea why. It's dangerous as I never think we'll win.

It's not a bad looking team but can Bolasie play on either side?
I'd play Elmo right back, play Bolasie in front of him then play someone else on the left, possibly Kodjia.

5-1 to the villa just got one of them hunches
-
Taylor is better than Hutton at left back.
Taylor is probably also better than Hutton at right back. And that's not saying a lot.

The key tonight is our midfield dictating the tempo of the game, something Hourihane and Whelan completely failed to do on Tuesday.

Got to be far better in possession as well Paul. We gave away the ball far too easily too many times on Tuesday night and have got to be better.

or that other bloke, Grealish

Except when he did.

Don’t understand how so many keep defending him when he’s clearly not doing enough. Someone once said he is “mercurial” and I agree - he shows up far too infrequently and is a luxury too many times.
-

I think so as well.
(Was going to say, I have a funny feeling, but then remembered where I was posting.)

Come on Louise you have spoilt two pages of fun/punathon/innuendo posts.
-
If anyone's coming by road, the stretch of the Uxbridge Road nearest the ground is snarled up. I just witnessed the aftermath of a serious-looking car/cyclist collision.
-
With our forwards we could easily get 3 or 4 ,with our keeper and back four we could just as easily concede 3 or 4 ,so i will go for a 1-1 draw
