ELMO, wtf. You have el Ghazi and Bolasie here for a reason. Bruce wanted Adomah off.. now he's starting. Kodjia is the only proven goal scorer we have and he's on the bench.

Jedi not at CB though..

Looks more of a Bruce team when you realise it's Abraham in goal, a back 4 of McGinn, Jedi, Jack and Albert, and so on.

And for that reason I said 'potentially'. I wouldn't trust Bruce to sit the right way on a toilet.

If Full back Elmo is going to play wide, what exactly has El Ghazi done to get dropped from that wide position?

Neil Taylor ffs. Christ knows what formation he's going to play. Most potent striking threats on the bench. Yet again he sets up trying to not lose rather than trying to win from the off.

Looks a standard 4-4-1-1 to me.

Maybe a bit negative but I think Jedinak back infront of the back 4 is a wise move given our issues there.

Think this will be a draw. Would be good to win though with Leeds drawing and Boro losing.

Neil Taylor are RB I imagine with Hutton on the left. AT in CM with Jedinak at CB.

I fully two things. I expect Blackburn to attack us from the off and us to lump it long to Tammy.
Title: Re: Blackburn Rovers vs Aston Villa Match Thread
Post by: Lastfootstamper on September 15, 2018, 04:59:38 PM
4411. Abraham isolated for much of the game and left wondering wtf is going on, Jedinak having to repeatedly boot Jack up the arse to stop him playing pointlessly deep, most of Elmo's touches coming as flick-ons from the keeper, Taylor won't be a part of the back six that hears the final whistle.

Still, 3-2 us. Chester keeps a header down for a change, and Tammy Two-Times (that'll be how he'll be known after today, tellin ya), the winner breaking Rovers' hearts as they push for a third themselves after we let a two goal lead slip.

At least it's players in their correct positions. I think i'd have preferred Hutton left, Bree right, Kodjia starting with Abraham on the bench (if Kodjia is fully fit) and Bolasie instead of Adomah (if Bolasie is fit), but i'm not complaining too much. We'll still lose though.

He's either a)spent the last 2 weeks putting his new formation plan together or b)he's stuck Axel in the middle of defence and picked that side to prove he can't play there. Neither option sounds very likely

Why cant we just play 4-4-2 now with Tammy and Kod up top and just browbeat any team into submission?

Sure the defense might give them a few simple chances but is it worth being so blunt up front just to cover how weak we are in the back?

I wish I could meet a woman that was as easily impressed as these commentators.

Have you tried Mrs Bruce?

I'm sure's there's a wrong hole joke to be done, but decorum prevents me from making it.

As long as it's there or thereabouts.

Bruce now has the look of a man with a lop-sided squad full of more forwards than he needs, and no idea of what his best team or formation are.

That usually heralds a downward spiral.

The second half of that sentence is the important bit, the whole team have been wank, we play like a team that only meet each other in the dressing room.  Even when we score (like that fucking beauty Houri has just netted) it's individual brilliance, I don't care whether the manager is on the training ground or not but I do expect him to to have a coaching team that can see these problems and do something about it.  2 years of this same shit is all the evidence needed to show he's fucking clueless.
