We've moved up north now for this draw have we.
Macclesfield at home please.
-
Fleetwood please at home
-
I'm surprised we're allowed in it after the debacle of losing at Yeovil in that 1-0 win.
-
fefefefefefefefe Chris Waddle.
Blackpool away.
-
Lincoln City or Sheff Wed away please.
-

Let it go 😀
-
24 at home please. Or Walsall, god knows when we played them competitively last but their fans took the piss after we were relegated and I'd love us to stick 6 past them.
-
Rovrem away please.
-
Macclesfield or Mansfield at home please. We are due a home draw after seeing off the might of Yeovil.
-
How come Wolves are in the draw? I thought clubs in Europe start in round three?
-
Got a feeling we'll get Walsall.
-

Such is their dominance and scale they have a B Team.
-
I've a feeling we will get Middlesbrough. The most boring draw imaginable.
-
I've a feeling we will get Middlesbrough. The most boring draw imaginable.
I don’t know, I think I find Reading more boring.
-
Yeah maybe but we already played Middlesbrough five times last season.
-
I reckon there is a decent chance we will play one of Bruce's former clubs Huddersfield, Hull or Sunderland. They are also three clubs where I have been to see Villa at their old grounds but not at their new grounds.
-
nah I've read some great books.
-
I really want Walsall or Fleetwood at home please.
-
Was it the Caribao cup where the draw was made at 3am in the morning last year?
-
Was it the Caribao cup where the draw was made at 3am in the morning last year?
Yeah, I think they pulled out Charlton twice too.
-

I can't even see the point of doing the draw at all considering Wolves have already won all three competitions.
-

I don’t know, I think I find Reading more boring.
Apart from the 6-4 semi final, Blackburn have been notoriously boring.
-
Draw being made about now ?
We are Number 1 ball in the north section.
-
Was it the Caribao cup where the draw was made at 3am in the morning last year?
Yeah, I think they pulled out Charlton twice too.
I think they messed up the draw in at least three different rounds, last season.
-
... and they've fucked it up again. Calling out Watford when it was clearly West Ham.
-
Derby away I reckon.
-
Squeezing in another advert before drawing the important section of the draw.
Wankers.
-
Away to Burton. I'll take that.
-
That’ll do.
-
Forest v Newcastle looks the tie of the round. A pretty dull draw.
-
This would've been a novelty three years ago but pretty boring draw. Should get through hopefully.
-
A decent enough draw.
-
Crap draw all round. Not a single stand out tie.

I only care about the draw as it relates to one team. Don’t you?
-
Forest V Newcastle and Brighton V Southampton would be decent picks for being shown live. I am going for Villa to beat Norwich 1-0 in the final with a penalty before going on to clinch automatic promotion. ;)

No, I like some good stand out or quirky ties to watch on the box aswell.
Forest Newcastle and Wimbledon West Ham nailed on to be on TV.
-

I think we will beat them with a goal in open play, like in 1975.
-

Genuine lol
-
From the others Wombles-West Ham is a decent enough game. Potential for shock so imagine that will be the TV pick.
-
Agreed. Forest v Newcastle and Wimbledon v West Ham will be the televised games, I reckon.
-
The most interesting thing about the northern part of the draw is that four current, or former (pre-1974) Staffordshire teams, being Wolves, Albion, Walsall and Stoke were each drawn against a team with a city/town ending in 'field', namely Sheffield, Mansfield, Macclesfield and Huddersfield. Well I thought it was interesting anyway. ;)
-
I'm happy with Burton away.
-
Spare a thought for any poor bugger that decides to travel from Norwich to Cardiff, (should take the best part of a week)!
-
Anyone know when tickets go on sale? Or will we be allowed to just turn up like when we played there pre-season?
-
No clue when they go on sale, but prices have gone up on the website. 22 pounds for an adult on the terrace.
-
Tickets on sale, just got mine

Ta for info. Duly booked. Be nice standing up at a game.
-
Several of those who start on Saturday should get a break for this match but would like some continuity.
RHM and RDL are two who would probably not always get minutes so can see them and Elphick playing .
Will see after Saturday how that goes but think it only useful in giving other squad players minutes .
Bruce to prioritize the league but players will have chance to impress and if Tuanzebe isn't playing centre back or isn't playing Saturday then try him there for this one
-
Can't see it on TV does anyone know if on villa tv or tube?
-
Can't see it on TV does anyone know if on villa tv or tube?
Not on AVTV as they don't have the rights to league cup games.
I'm guessing it will be impossible to find a stream as Sky will only be broadcasting the one game per night.
-
Need to pick a strong side and win this game. El Ghazi and Bolasie need to play in this. They need minutes in their legs.
-
I think we’re win as I can’t see burton putting anything other than a youth team out against us given their league position

Wednesday's headlines
" Pint sized Burton striker leaves Bruce bitter"
Burton 2 Villa 1
-
A laboured 2-1 win.
And as we usually just convert the draw thread into the pre-match on i've merged them as not much point having 2 Burton threads.
-
Tuanzebe to be on trial and center back again?
-
I reckon we'll see an absolute ton of changes
-
Yeah, I'd fill the side full of Rushians.
-
Moreira
Taylor
Elphick
Tuanzebe
RDL
Whelan
Green
Hourihane
Doyle-Hayes
Bolasie
RHM
-
Dont think that will be far off tho JDH played today so he won't play again. Lansbury I reckon
I don't really understand why Whelan has played in the cup games (if he does play tomorrow). Its a bit of a waste of someone who's been one of our better players this season isn't it?
-
A random selection with some youth players which will get thrown under the Bus if things don’t go well.
-
The same result as last season and pre-season would be nice but i'll go for 3--0.
-
this one has banana skin written all over it. Another 1-0 cup win.
-
I reckon we will win 2-1.
-
Yeah, I'd fill the side full of Rushians.
Putin strikes again!
Time for a Peoples Vote on Team selection!
-
Moreira
Taylor
Elphick
Bree
Rdl
Lansbury
Hourihane
El Ghazi
Green
Bolaise
RHM
2-1 win
El Ghazi and Greeny
-
Really hope we win this would love a cup run, with our squad shouldn’t be a distraction or affect the league form, such as it is!!!! Agree play some the fringe players but let’s be competitive and win
-
Is it on telly?
-
Is it on telly?
It isn’t. Wimbledon v West Ham is I think.
-
I didn't think Bolaise was fit to play?
-
I suspect blasé isn't fit to do 90 maybe he'll be involved and then over international break get him up too speed.
Would of course be lacking match fitness but will have enthusiasm to have game time I hope he has some minutes tonight
If RDL doesn't get a look in may thats moving out on loan but rather 1. Kept him and 2. He was involved tonight .
I don't think Bruce fancies him .
-
...I don't think Bruce fancies him .
Course he doesn't. Or anybody else capable of going on marauding runs from right back, going through half the defence and scoring.
Hutton should count himself lucky that he only got relegated to left back after doing it.
