Done!
Good Article...

The bit about Bruce being best not making long-term plans made me smile, I think he'll be ok with that somehow.
-
Yeah, any chance we can get Thierry to come in anyway and play up-front, be our Grabban for 18/19? No hard feelings and all that.

Very well summarized Dave. I wanted Bruce gone. I wasn’t convinced by Henry but very intrigued. And had this been June not July and two weeks before the season starts I’m convinced they’d have canned him. As is let’s hope he figures things out quickly because a shit start will see him binned very quickly. I’m sure he was told that.

I'm told his contract is up in November. If that's true there is a make or break conversation to be had which will be decided by our league position at that time.

I thought it was a rolling contract. Absolutely agree with your article, Dave. I've never been a Bruce fan and I don't expect him to be here too long, but right now (heaven help us) we need him.

Begrudgingly have to agree with the "foundations before the bricks" philosophy - it just pains me that the fundamental reason we all go is to watch entertaining football and that will be the thing sacrificed whilst Bruce scrambles to survive and until we can get the right people in place behind the scenes.
Good summation though

Spot on again Dave,
We need to start this season a lot better than we started the last two (albeit the first was really down to De Matteo etc...) and whilst I agree that stabilisation was the key matter here, after coming so close last year, I really think he'll be in trouble if we're not either in or within touching distance of the top two after about 15 games. This really has to be the year.

Wouldn't be surprised if Bruce was in charge all season but come next season I don't expect to see him in the dugout.

Great read Dave.
