Back as "principal partner".....on your marks get set...
-
Announced as the new partner and will be emblazoned across the kit next season.
I might be wrong but didnt they shit on us last time and bailed out as soon as things started to go a bit pear shaped on the pitch?
-
Aston Villa are delighted to announce the renewal and extension of their relationship with Kindred Group which will see 32Red become the club’s new Principal Partner and Unibet continuing as an Official Partner.
32Red is a multiple award-winning online casino and will have their company logo feature on the club’s new home and away shirts.
And the Unibet logo, which appeared on last season’s shirts, will now feature across all first-team trainingwear.
Aston Villa’s Chief Commercial Officer, Luke Organ, said: "We are thrilled to be partnered with Kindred Group once again this season in a wider and more targeted partnership.
"This season we will welcome back 32Red (a subsidiary of Kindred Group), a previous partner of the club, whilst we see a continuation of the great work with Unibet.
"Throughout the first year of our relationship, Unibet successfully delivered multiple ‘bettor experiences’ for Aston Villa’s loyal supporters, ensuring at every opportunity they provided a unique and exciting engagement for our fans. The last 12 months has seen a fruitful relationship develop and we very much look forward to building on that for the seasons ahead."
Neil Banbury, General Manager UK at the Kindred Group, said: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with Aston Villa. 32Red has a successful history in football sponsorship and will look to build on the fantastic work done by the Unibet brand last season.
“The 32Red logo won’t look out of place adorning the famous claret and blue with both brands priding themselves on excitement and entertainment. The likes of which has made 32Red an industry-leader in online casinos.“
"Unibet will continue to reward the legions of loyal Villans with “bettor” experiences as Official Betting & Gaming Partner and we look forward to seeing the logo on the club’s official training wear.”

Welcome.

Were in no position to be fussy over sources of incoming revenue.

Don’t recall that to be fair.

No.
I know someone who was the commercial director of 32 Red at the time (it turned his children into Villa fans, apparently).
He told me that from the minute Randy took over, he was desperate to get out of the deal, and that it cost them absolute peanuts. Not one of Doug's best deals.
-
They've sponsored Rangers through tough financial times (and Sunderland?). Maybe they pay peanuts. Still, their last season with us was the wonderful 2007-08, maybe they can bring some casino luck.
-
How much is the deal with I wonder?
-
Like it or not, there's no doubt it's big business these days, so as long as we are getting a good deal I'm a bit "meh" on it!
-
They were our kit sponsors in 06/07.
Think Acorns was the next season.
-
I know it's part of the game, and lord knows we need the money, but does there really need to be all the fluff? "Providing unique and exciting engagement for our fans", "thrilled to partnered with..." etc. Don't get me wrong, I'd take ISIS money at the moment, I just find the bullshit at bit much. I'd be surprised if anyone is "delighted" to be associated with us at the moment!
-
Am I the only one who silently sniggers each time the read the name Luke Organ?
-
With recent events I wonder if they are checking the small print of the contracts. And no you're not SE.
-
Oh the irony of being sponsored by a gambling company !
-
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Unibet is in the same group of companies as 32 Red, Stan James etc.
-

You're not alone, mate.

It is like something from Mid Morning Matters.

Having gambled massively and in a right old state financially I not sure if i was 32Red that I would want to be associated with us.

But they are.

It’s hilarious, our owner gambles with the entire club and loses and then gets propped up by a gambling organisation. Someone should tell the doc that when the fun stops, stop

no, that was FxPro. bailed out of a 3 year deal, after 1 season.

All we now need is some of the players who were at the club when we last had this sponsor and we’ll be sorted.

Anyone got Luke Moore's phone number?
Or Aaron Hughes'?

I was thinking Bardsley and Berger myself.
-
32RED reminds me of Patrick Berger for some reason
Is he available
-
Please merge the other thread that Walmley started on the same topic. I thought we made solid contributions :'(
-
Well seeing we gambled everything on going up,, its apt they're sponsoring us.
-
32 Red x 2, Unibet, Dafabet, FX Pro.... There's a theme here...
-
Shouldn't that be 32 million in the red?
-
Oh the irony of being sponsored by a gambling company !
Agreed, says it all.
-
We've had Genting too.
Cows was my favourite one.
-
At least you've heard of 32 Red.

Due to the size of the fanbase, the amount we are on sky and the fact that we are a crisis club constantly on the news and internet....I would say they will get more exposure with us than some of the smaller PL teams and probably cost a fair bit less.
Any publicity is good publicity or whatever the saying is. someone has played a blinder signing us up

I might have got it wrong, but I think I read 32Red are sponsoring another four or five clubs in the Championship (they're definitely sponsoring Preston) so they will be getting plenty of exposure!

I did but only in the sense whether he was the monkey or the grinder.

That's the beer
Lots of cheer

Mita Copiers. King of the Villa sponsors.
Two things I remember about Mita is that we rushed a deal through in time for a live home game against Liverpool in the early days of live league games (the Rush hat trick game I think) and we got into trouble as the dot over the 'i' in Mita made the logo bigger then the rules allowed. We also had a jingle they played over the PA system.
"Aston Villa Mita, Mita Aston Villa, copy that, copy that" if I have remembered it right.

Was that to the tune of 'I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire'?
-
Rover, Mita, Davenports, NTL, LDV....

Muller was the best

Whether it impacts them or not, it's another example, after UnderArmour last year, of us associating ourselves with companies displaying questionable moral practices.
I appreciate the Acorns deal didn't make us any money but it didn't half make you feel proud. Unlike the last few sponsors and kit manufacturers.

Felt exactly the same. Acorns was our finest moment in terms of sponsorship, in my eyes

I'd add Unibet to that, to be honest. For no other reason than the industry that they're in.

Lets be fair, the problem they've been fined for was before the current owners took over so, generic gambling industry concerns aside, I think that's a little unfair.

Feeling proud don't pay the bills I am afraid.

I don't really see the issue. They're not doing genocide now, are they? And the money from tourism will help them improve their economy and get over the horrors of the nineties.
Should everyone have refused to have traded with Germany in the fifties and sixties?
