Adomah and Terry in, although for me Terry hasn't even been the best defender at our club, let alone in the League. Harsh that not a single Cardiff player has made it in.
Ruddy (Wolves)
Fredericks (Fulham)
Coady (Wolves)
Terry (Villa)
Sessegnon (Fulham)
Neves (Wolves)
Maddison (Norwich)
Cairney (Fulham)
Reid (Bristol City)
Vydra (Derby)
Adomah (Villa)
Warnock (Manager)
-
They vote for this at xmas don't they?
Edit: Vydra's hardly scored a goal since Janaury.
-
Chester has been better than Terry.
No Cardiff player speaks volumes about them. Workmanlike and shite but grind out wins.
-
Where's snoddy!!
-
Where's SuperJack?
-
Don’t rate Ruddy at all. Johnstone and Grealish shoe ins.
-
Loan players were inelligable apparantly.

I see, that makes sense and explains why the Wolves forward isn’t there either.
-
I've heard of five of them, including the two Villa players.
-
Snoddy most assists in league! But a loan ranger so fair enough
Wolves
Diego Jota not allowed then!
Barry Douglas
Cardiff
Jr Hoillet
Bamba
Morrison
Clear argument for any of them to be in there based on performances.
-

You obviously haven't been paying much attention then.
-
Correct.
-
Correct.
👏 Fair play
-
Grealish didn’t play until January!
I thought it was harsh on the the wolves wing backs
-
Manager Neil Warnock? Given the lack of Cardiff players I think he'd tell anyone who asked him to manage this team to fook right off.
-
Isn’t Sessegnon a forward too?
-
Grealish didn’t play until January!

Cairney was injured in the early part of the season wasn't he? Only came on us a sub in the latter stages against us at VP if I recall correctly.

Correct, I was worried about him as he ran the show for Fulham when we lost there on Easter Monday last year. When fit I think he’s the best passer in this division. When he came on as sub in October I think it was his first game after injury.
-
I agree Chester has had a better season than Terry.
I don't understand the loan rule, if a player has played the whole season in the championship then why should it matter if hes on loan or not? I get it from the signed in January viewpoint but thats not the case here
-
Chester deserves to be in there.
Terry has been ref of the year.
-
Isn’t Sessegnon a forward too?
Spent half the season at left-back, before being moved further forward.
-
Terry has been excellent.
The phenomenon with Cardiff is what you see when you watch them; how is this shower 2nd? Would you have Bamba, Ralls, Laing et al over any of ours, Fulhams, Wolves? Nope.
But there they sit and there they rumble on.
-
Whichever club gets BCFC relegated
-
Terry has been emense.
-
Terry has been excellent as has Chester. I don't know who's opinion this Championship team of the year is and couldn't care less either as it's just an opinion. Nothing more.
-
Isn't it voted on by Championship players?
-
Whichever club gets BCFC relegated
That'll be BCFC then. ;)
-

Tonight we all vote ruddy!!
-
This is the PFA Championship team of the year as voted for by players I assume - no Villa representation :
Ruddy
Fredericks
Bamba
Boly
Sesseignon
Maddison
Cairney
Neves
Reid
Vydra
Clarke
-
To be fair we have played well as a team rather individually
-
Huh? If anything we're too individual-y compared to teams of lesser quality. One of the reasons we'll probably be stuck down here for another year, we don't work hard enough for each other.

Chester should be on that team anyway, has Ruddy been better than Johnstone? Grealish maybe missed too many games.
-
With any luck, they all fucking hate us.

Well Cardiff have conceded five fewer goals than us and Wolves have conceded four fewer goals so having their best defenders ahead of ours isn't unreasonable.
Yes, Ruddy has been better than Johnstone.
Probably, and also if he's in the midfield three he's not been better than the three that are there instead of him.

I would personally have Chester ahead of Bamba, but not too much else to argue with in the defence and midfield selections (though I think Grealish probably would have been in if he'd played a full season). The front three looks a bit weak though

The front three looks a bit weak though
Footballers aren't normally known for their nuance, and haven't they just voted for the three strikers who scored the most goals?
-
pin that to the changing room door for the last few games.

It's what Neil Warnock would do along with the speel about how everyone hates us etc etc. It's all part of Warnocks detestable raison d'etre. It just might work!
-
pin that to the changing room door for the last few games.
Yeah but then we'd have no players as they'd have all fucked off home as they weren't playing.
-
Pah. We'll haveour share of players in the Prem team of the season next year.

I don't think Wolves will be buying any of ours.
-
they might want Jack?
-
they might want Jack?
No chance. He'd not get into their reserves next season.

That thought did cross my mind Dave and I'm guessing there is a shortlist of some sort that is passed around otherwise it would take a lot of sorting. Surprised Jota from Wolves didn't get in, but two of the best wide forwards I have seen against us this season have been Josh Murphy at Norwich and Jarrod Bowen at Hull.
-
James Maddison of Norwich was the surprise name for me. He had been flying under my radar but apparently he has scored 14 goals from midfield this season.
-

He's not represented by Jorge Mendes.

I don't really watch a lot of Championship football apart from us, so have to confess that I didn't know much about Maddison either. Thought he looked good against us the other week, but looked to be playing quite advanced for a midfielder.

When they played us, they were talking about him in the same terms as Jack, and that he'll almost certainly be sold for a big fee this summer.

So much for me trying to be stupidly positive about next season.

They’ll be able to announce it in October because they’ll have the title sewn up by then.
-
I guess this was all voted for before our barnstorming seven wins on the trot and as we were at best competent up til Christmas, little surprise we don't have any representation although Uncle Albert can feel a little aggrieved.
-
Grealish didn’t play until January!
He started coming off the bench at the start of November and started playing the full 90 mins from mid-December!!!

West Ham bid 15m for him in January.

Grealish didn’t play until January!
He started coming off the bench three times at the start of November and started playing the full 90 mins from mid-December!!!
Bristol City at home was when he properly started influencing things, was superb that night.
-
Supporters player of the year - James Chester
Players player of the year- Albert Adomah
