Hopefully our players will turn up then. You know, just for a change like.

A smiling Bacuna with the winner. We know it's going to happen.

Can't we just bagsy 4th and have our next game be against whoever finishes 5th. Derby and Boro won't catch us and we won't catch anybody else. Going to be like walking around the maternity wing till May.

This has flat atmosphere, poor performance and result, written all over it for me

Then we get back on track with a win at Carrow Road

I went to the away game at the start of the season where we were pretty awful but we're much better now (well usually). Expecting a win and us getting back on track for the run in. Really need to finish strongly to make sure we get the 2nd leg play off at VP. If we don't win could things get ugly for Bruce?

The challenge is how do we secure 4 th, maintain momentum and have everybody  fit and ready for the play offs?

We'll probably win 5-0. Every time Bruce feels the heat we suddenly start performing again. If there's a lesson to be learned from this season it's we should have threatened him with the sack before every game.

Win tomorrow and we’ve got an 11 point cushion with 6 to go

I doubt even we can blow that. Should mean we can rotate, rest, and focus on getting back into form

And hope that Fulham overtake Cardiff

I never knew Paul Clement was the manager there. Just checked and he's got a 100% win record at Reading. Impressive. Derby were idiots to have sacked him.

Im not taking getting into the playoffs 100% for granted just yet. Under Steve Bruce we are more than capable of continuing a terrible run till the end of the season.

Therefore I really think we need to win this game. I think we'll scrape a very ugly 2-1

Yes took over this time last week.

Reading are really poor, not a patch on the impressive side who won 3-1 this time last year.

We have to be winning this just to get some form going again.

Some changes needed after Saturday's inept efforts.  Elmohamady back in at RB, Bjarnason for Jedinak, Hourihane for Lansbury and Hogan for Grabban are the changes I would make.  Bench something like:

Bunn, Bree, Axel, Jedinak, Lansbury, Kodjia, Grabban

Post by: adrenachrome on April 03, 2018, 12:41:32 AM
One issue on which I will agree with QV is that it will be a low attendance (in terms of actually occupied seats) with a flat atmosphere.

As far as the result is concerned, I have often correctly predicted we would games in far more adverse conditions, but I would not venture a prediction on this one.  If the ref allows them to whack Jack, Snodd or Albert early on, expect the worst.

Got to press and do far more off the ball than we have the last 3 games.

Bikir in for Jedinak and Hourihane for Lansbury. The midfield to be 15-20 yards higher and get closer to the front man.

Don’t get why a low attendance or flat atmosphere is an excuse for bad performances, hostile where crowd get on players back for the first misplaced pass I understand but flat should be easy to play in front of.

Not the crowds job to get the players playing - that’s the players themselves and management are for.

I feel the same although I am hoping that we can finish the season strongly so that we go into the play offs with some momentum. That might renew my enthusiasm although the kick off times for home games seem designed to do the opposite.

We were hoping to get 2nd, even 1st after beating Wolves, then expectations keep getting downgraded to 3rd, then to 4th. Lose another couple and just making the play-offs will be the target.

Same here. Next month is to: dont get injured, and rotate the squad a bit so if they need to change anything in the playoffs then they know how.

oh, and win some games would be nice!
Cardiff and Wolves have got there, by being consistant and not panicing.
Fulham might overtake Cardiff. We wont, 2 losses on the bounce saw to that.
