The next game is upon us. 5.30pm kick-off in Hull. They are 18th but we are Aston Villa.
1-3 no worries.
-
Cardiff win.
-
Must win
Can’t say confidentially what will happen as I’d never have predicted the last two games
Suspect Jedinak won’t be fresh enough after two games already this week
I’d play Lansbury over hourihane but doubt Bruce will
Either way he’s going to have to learn to rotate over the next fortnight
-
Fast forward to the playoffs.
-
Mini slump over, Villa to win 2-0.
-
Hull 0 Villa 2 . Hull are struggling and due to their fans anger with the owners I doubt they are enjoying playing at home.
-
Really need a win so I'm going for a 2-1 Villa win.
-
Draw written all over it. 0-0
-
Draw written all over it. 0-0
Given that they have scored 53 and conceded 59 goals so far this season I think 0-0 is unlikely.
-
Cardiff win.
Good point.

1-3

Leopards and spots.

are there ‘must win’ games anymore?
Surely we can afford to drop points now it’s only the plays off in target ( not too many of course).
-
0-2
-
1-4
And we go marching on!
-
I think we are shot and the international break will not have helped.
I will go for a score draw and for us to take our chances in the play offs. Just can't see us winning too many of the remaining games. Steve Brucie will need to step up for the play offs and motivate the players for one final push.
-
just gotta win!! :-\

With that in mind I will go with 8-8 :)

That’s more like it.

Win at all costs 1-2
-
Last time I was there was the awful night that finally did for Lamberk (was it? or another dud-manager?!! - there have been so many ...).
Bruce vs a previous club: he'll be desperate to win, so I think we may see the Expansive Villa team (a la Wolves or Blunderland)rather than the Minnie-Mouse team that last played at Bolton.
Win.
-
Forecast is wet and windy - hopefully not snow a la Bolton.
-
Winning again...break came at tight time for us.
-
After the bipolar performances over the last 3 games I'm fucked if I know! Heart ruling head says Hull City1 Villa3
-
Winning again...break came at tight time for us.
I agree with this, we needed it and it will be a blessing in disguise!
-
Wouldn't be surprised if Bruce rested Jedinak and Bjork following their international exertions, and possibly try Axel as the holding midfielder.
-
I'd honestly forgotten about Tuanzebe.
-
Scrappy win. 2-1. Snodgrass winner
-
1-1
-
Kodjia is going to be on the bench.
-
0-1. Ray Walker
-
Kodjia is going to be on the bench.
That's great news
-
I've got a feeling we'll sneak this (although it probably emanates from blind optimism after a cuppla weeks without meaningful football). :o
1-2 Villa
-

I was thinking the same...and with Hutton also coming in for Taylor, we will win 0-2.
-
Kodjia is going to be on the bench.
Blimey that's quite a turnaround from SB ruling him out for the season not so long ago.
Just hope we haven't rushed him back too quickly like we probably did at the start of the season.
Anyway as for the game, think we'll nick it 1-2. Always thought this was the more likely of the two away games we'd win and we'll probably pick up again now Cardiff are miles in the distance. Think SB tends to have a good record against his former clubs aswell.
They have got Abel Hernandez back so more cutting edge upfront but Hull are terrible at the back so we should be scoring 2 at least.
-
Hoping for a much Improved performance from the Bolton defeat. 2-1 villa win
-
If ever we needed a morale boosting win - it's tomorrow
With the benefit of hindsight I would have taken a loss to Wolves and wins against QPR and Bolton

With the extra 3 points that brings I can see you logic😜
-
A win virtually guarantees a play off position thanks to Derby’s implosion. Got to keep the pressure on Cardiff. I’m hoping for any kind of win after the last two shockers.
-
I still think these are must wins. Finishing 3rd or 4th guarantees a 2nd leg play off at home.

Deep in heart, I do believe, that this would not likely be an advantage, Pete3206.
-
0-1. Ray Walker
Say what you see.
Ah. That's Roy.
-
Come on you Lions - we really need this.
-
Kodjia is going to be on the bench.
That's fantastic news.
-
Filthy weather in these parts.
-
We need to bounce back today and I think we will. 1-3.

Yeah the devils in the detail
-
Just a tad early for the coach nevermind I’m here
-
Horrible feeling we will draw

A message to you Brucey
1-3 villa.
-
Kodjia is going to be on the bench.
Brucey said he'd be involved but that could just mean he's in the squad.
-
Racing post reckon we are good value at 9/5.
-
I've only been to Hull once. A 2-1 defeat in one of the first games under SGT. Mark Walters was getting some stick from the Villa fans for wanting a move. We ended up in Skegness after the game.

That is excellent value. But I have left us out of my acca and won't lump on a single on us for fear of jinxing us.

I've been twice. First time was a few season's back just before New Year's Eve. We won 1-0 (from memory), it was absolutely freezing and upon checking into our B&B, the owner handed us our room keys whilst he was in his pants. We didn't have breakfast.
-
Kodjia doubtful according to Sky.

It could have been worse. He could have not been in his pants.

Definitely would have give the sausage a miss.

I called round to meet a hypnotist once who had been recommended to me to fill a comedy hypnotism slot at the apartment complex where I was the entertainments manager. Our previous hypnotist had returned to England for family reasons. He opened the door to me naked and remained naked (and smoking a joint) for the whole of our conversation. I eventually clinched the deal, despite the fact he was stoned and more interested in talking about Star Trek than business. We later became mates and socialised together, but thankfully it was the first and last time I saw him naked. I honestly can't remember if in our time as friends I ever brought up the subject of our rather interesting first meeting.
To be fair his stage name was 'Doctor Strange', so in fairness the clues were possibly there for me to be wary in advance.

That reminds me of a story I read about some holiday cabaret Hypnotist (called Doctor Strange funnily enough) who did all his business dealings in the nude and put his interviewers into a trance and made them fondle his buttocks.
-
Anyway enough of naked hypnotists and pant wearing B&B owners, I'd put Hutton back in today and it wouldn't shock me if he gave either Onomah or Davis a game.
-
🤣🤣🤣
-
What he said ^^^ ;-)
-
It'll be great to have Kodjia back but I just hope he's learnt when to pass. I think he'll come on for the last 30 minutes.
So we don't have any injuries apart from Whelan not quite being ready so no excuses now.
-
Oh and Onomah, no thanks.
-
we have to win this and put the memory of OPR/Bolton-gate well and truly behind us.
-
I wonder if their fans still sing "you're not English any more" to us? Weird bunch.
1-1
-
Lansbury & Tuanzebe starting, otherwise as you would expect.
